"Yeah. Let's do that."

Angel goes back on Legion. Once Selina gets back, she has an idea.

She draws a basic female form, and adds some of Selina's traits to it, including her entire face on a head that is a bit off to the right.
"Can you turn into Ghost for a moment, please?"

27587
"Can't Selina undress herself?"

((Be careful what you ask for around the Doc.))
((So...Doc's been around longer than the AM, or were the Articles revised relatively recently?))

((That is about article three in the HMRC handbook right after "Don't annoy the psychokinetic Armoury Master"))
((What's Article 1?))

My biggest concern is that the Bandit King will continue to be, you know...bandit-ey when he's appointed.

Basically, what I'm saying is: "Contact him before starting the paperwork."

Al's ancestors invented the expression "hitting on someone/something"
Determining when Al stopped being his own great-great-great...grandfather in the maternal line can be discovered by the first use of the expression.

Or maybe the first bad pickup line.

Or maybe the first of his ancestors he could copulate with. If this is the case, then killing Al before he goes back in time to become his own great-infinite-grandfather would lead to devastation, as he would be the ancestor of all humanity several times over.

"The only way I can see this being a good thing is if the fully grown Caged one lays eggs that become planets of their own right, teeming with life, life benefiting from all the evolution and experience of souls absorbed by the previous generation Caged one, leading ultimately to a cycle of destruction and rebirth. I don't see this happening the way you keep pushing things."
This would be acceptable if it worked like this...

"Well, see, the problem is I haven't gotten that far. Would you give me some damn time!? It's like you think this can all be done in a single movement!"
You added planet-destroying capability first? We have the feeling that you didn't plan this out as well as you claim.

((Kyle and Tom have such an interesting relationship...))

"Ah, excellent."

Dress up in my best clothes. After a moment's thought, bring a weapon and make sure it's declared. A rapier or something like that if I have it, a dagger if not...if I lack both of those, let me know what I have access to.

In the middle of a war, our place is where we can react fastest. The rest is a consideration for peace-time, but as a military lord, we are now residing in and  leading from Curbiston. Marna can direct our home fief ably.
Well, yes. I suspected that the discussion was longer-term.

I agree that we need to parley with the Bandit King, but what is the Peasant Count willing to put on the table for him? Show me a noble lineage that doesn't dissolve into a pack of bandits at the fifth and sixth remove. For me, the circumstances demanding that every god-fearing Kingdom man turn against the invaders, it is even acceptable to offer him a title of nobility and legitimate lands that he and his sons can hold and respectably keep for generations.
Well...that requires three things:
1. That the Bandit King be trustworthy with such power. We'll have to meet with him to be sure.
2. The ducal and ideally royal acceptance, if nothing else, of promoting such a man to a noble position.
3. That Counts actually are allowed to do so. This is a really bad time to look treasonous...

I don't want to lose Feroshire after we spent so much time working on it...
How would we lose it?
I mean, I don't want to just move on.
Ah.

Look around to determine if there is Anything aside from Mitheraria and the Sun.

That still doesn't answer Our question. Why does it need to destroy the planet? That seems like an unneeded potential disaster. Its your fault for building the potential bomb as it is others' for accidentally detonating it. Neither wanted to destroy Mitheraria, but both contributed.

Grab the amulet, then return. If the sorceress is still within earshot, ask:

"What do you want us to do?"

If she gives us the chance after explaining what she wants, explain that we were just afraid for our life and willing to do just about anything to do so. Draw comparisons with beggars and such.

Also, I suspect that someone made a big sacrifice to the Random Number God. Maybe not someone here, because sacrifices tend to be randomly applied, but still.

27599
((Actually, I think I understood until you tried to use the comparison. And now I'm confused.))

Forgive us. We're not the great, mighty, ancient Auphanim, but which part of that requires the whole 'destroys the planet as it leaves' thing?

I wouldn't be surprised to discover that the "someone" who has died is the game.
Ummm, you do realize the game was updated an hour before you posted?
...No, I didn't.

Whoops.
