Forum Games and Roleplaying / Re: Lordship: A Suggestion Game

Do we have plague victims?

Or an enemy to use them on, approximately...now?
Yes, there will likely still be some of them somewhere, and yeah, the viking-things.
Medieval biological attacks only work in a siege where sanitation is declining real fast.
Did I mention the part where we attack them?
No.
Because that's crazy.

I think we should secure Curbiston. begin cleaning it out and if at all possible restoring order (even though I doubt anyone still actually lives there). I don't think we should go into it striving to return it into a major civilian center any time soon. but instead occupy it as a military outpost... the fact that holding it will probably give us some legitimacy is a thing to keep in mind aswell. If we don't secure it and restore the Riverchain our actual civilian center will be vulnerable to raiding by the invaders.

it would be pretty terrible if the sea raiders actually set up an outpost instead of us.

Having that extra holding under our control is also a nice trust fund for our son when he comes of age.
I agree.

Quote
I think Im in favour of taking control of the capitol, and maybe even moving ourselves and our family there soon, From there we can strive to restore order in the County.... If Arthur was still alive the task would fall to him, but as it stands it seems like Stone is the man for the job.
...You mean Curbiston, right?

Basically, our goals right now should be:
1. Retain/Create order in the County.
2. Clean and restore Curbiston.
3. Prepare for war with the Sea Raiders.
All three goals benefit from improving the situation of the County, so there's that.

I suggest that we send some men to clean the dead bodies out of Curbiston, ideally giving them good burials but dumping them in a mass grave or the river if that's not possible. If there is time or manpower left over, clean the general refuse from the streets as well. Once that is finished, inform the peasants in the surrounding region that Curbiston is once more a safe place to be and work on establishing it as a functioning--if half-ghost-town--city.
On that note, we should contact the other knights who survived the plague and organize an attempt to return the county to roughly how it was before the plague (minus the people who died, of course). I'm not entirely sure what to do, mostly because I'm not sure what needs to be done. We should probably inform them about the task the Duke gave us.
We also need to make sure that the army of Feroshire and the other knights is ready for battle.

As for the "Move to Curbiston" vs. "Stay in Feroshire" thing: We should discuss it with such folks as Feroshire's mayor, the Rat, Fin, and Marna before making a decision. Learn what they think the costs of us leaving Feroshire would be.
Also, let the other knights know before we actually start moving if we do. We don't want to look, you know...rash and power-seeking.

Build a wall around the church. Leave a "gate"hole for now.

No we would probably be attacked and then just beat their asses while still talking. Especially if we had the mind link bracelet.
Heh.
Hm...I wonder if it would be possible to make something that lets whoever isn't there speak aloud. Angel would appreciate that. (So would Nuriel, but that's...less ideal.)

Wait? What am I saying? Non-lethal combat's fun!
Tell that to Nuriel. Well, I suppose she throws pretty good punches...

If diplomacy fails, we can just try forcibly shipping them until they leave out of embarrassment :P
That...could work.
If it wasn't insane. So it won't work.

They did say it was in their orders to stop us so it's not like I was the entire cause of it.
Well it was (and still is) possible to get them to turn a blind eye to you.
WE MUST BLIND THEM!

"Why are any wars fought? Any sensible ones anyway. Resources. But I don't why we open just open trade-"
There may be a hint of motivation here. He clearly indicates that he doesn't see why they couldn't just open up trade rather than fight, also, knowing what resource they think they're fighting for can help future diplomatic interactions.
It's an obvious lie given by their superiors. As Angel attempted to note, any resources one could find on Earth could be found elsewhere in or out of the Solar System.
Unless "resources" is a euphemism for "slaves," which would explain why trade isn't an option.

I just realized that Kyle could rupture lungs and it wouldn't be very hard.
And thus, Kyle discovers that he can murder people all on his own.

-1 to Fleeing

+1 to any practical, safe method to catch the new Wisp. Or maybe the Big Wisp.

"Although that last part Angel did not say, i'm sure Selina would be happy to have Angel with her... As long as you behave." Ghost stares at Nuriel accusingly.
"Alright..."

"To be fair we all will probably be touched by Nuriel. Inappropriately.
"Glad you approve."
That is not approval, that is acceptance.
"Whatever."

"That's interesting."
"Very..."

"...I'm thinking I should not have said that with Nuriel in earshot...
Probably not.

"It not just us who called you rats." Jack clime in "It true, rats is more or less a racial slur toward humans."
Nuriel, can you inform them that--
"No."

"Very simply put, let us pass. We will not leave without achieving our goal. If we have to, we will fight and we will not let up until you die or plead surrender, in which case we shall be merciful."
"I dare you to fight us." Nuriel created a little jet of flame to hit a random wall. "I've been itching for a fight."
I do not want to fight! I am still hoping that a peaceful resolution can be achieved.

"Why are any wars fought? Any sensible ones anyway. Resources."
Nuriel, could you inf--
"No."
...Ghost, could you inform the Layar that any resources that are on Earth are present in nonterrestrial bodies within and without the Solar System? Could you also thereafter request the actual reason that the Layar are invading?

Once the combat began: "Ex-cel-lent. Hey, Green, you're missing a little Red..."
Fly in between Red and Green, and slam a bunch of flames into Green if they continue to attack.
(If there is an attack:) For the record, those flames are more orange than red.
"Shut up."

piecewise, you never did definitively answer my questions about "one gang one kind of magic" or "one kind of magic one gang" definitively. All you've said for certain is that PCs can form gangs that go against that pattern...and you didn't even say if NPCs could join them...

((What about the human?))

Glance at the spiders. Toss a Geode Strike at the greatest concentration of spiders and return down through the hatch.

From its hungry mouth, Xantalos disregards intros and spews a mass of horrible eldritch monstrosity things that eat reality from its mouth!
GreatWyrmGold the Great Wyrm of Gold created the Void Plague, a species of creature that eats Nothing and excretes Something, specifically to make sure that there is always Something for the gods to create in.

Keep an eye on the dark elves. Shoot any enemies that get past the line without being nearly killed in the process.

Mind if I ask what was wrong with Glio?
He really had no cohesion as far as I could see. He's a plump, tanned old man wearing a lot of jewelry, who likes giving and receiving gifts, with the spheres of Disease, Peace, and Happiness. What does that make him in general? I don't really know. There's no way I can think of to sum him up.

Compare that with the dragon god, whose appearance, personality, and spheres all scream god of monsters; or the lady of grim winter; or to a lesser extent the helpful god of living things. They've all got fairly strong, coherent, interesting themes going on.
Part of that was me using a random generator, but that was mostly for appearance. (Bad move, then.) The rest was basically an image I had of him being basically a "nice Death" guy.
(I probably should have dropped Happiness instead of Chaos. Oh well, what's done is done.)
...Is it possible to ascend from Minor Godhood to Major Godhood (or at least Less Impermanent Minor Godhood) with worshipers or something? It would kinda suck for the mortals if their patron god vanished suddenly, not to return for generations...

Yeah sure :) I forgot about that god haha
Understandable. The copyright issues or something made the WH40k universe "forget" about Malal, too.

You sure you want us to be Greater Daemons? If so, aren't we basically unstoppaboh we're not physically manifested yet.
Ah, ye of far too much faith in yourself. Everything can always go wrong.
