2. I fail to see why flying out over their heads would be more difficult with the guards more clustered around our current location.

a. I wouldn't bet on it...
b-d. Is the best time and place when we're in the middle of a city we just set on fire, with the city guard aware of that and where we are? Also, I was mostly arguing for "Try for alternate methods" rather than "Don't try this one".
e. True...but I'd still prefer not to rely on a plan like that. Heck, I don't like relying on any one plan, which is why I am suggesting we attempt diplomacy before throwing that option out of the window for the forseeable future.

Also, you'll need to stop main-game +1s for a bit.
As opposed to what, minigame +1's?

And, looking at things pragmatically as promised, an excellent opportunity for Stone. Oh, it's a tragedy all the same, but that won't change if we take advantage of it.

Out of curiosity, what will the final results of the plague be?

28190
I hope so! I think!

28191
I suggest attempting to learn mining and masonry so we can make this a proper lair later (and block off the entrance for now).

I've JUST now had a great idea to deal with refugees. Build a separate town on the edge of our lands solely for refugees. they dont have to have 1house for 1 family, more like barracks or bunkhouses.

that way, everyone wins.

we can also supply them (with food, tools etc) with a drop off point so we dont have to come into contact with them.
Not a terrible idea.

Suggestions should be posted in the game thread, don't you think so?
It's locked.

1. True.
2. How is that different from now? We can't really fly, and the city guard is surrounding us. A minute or two won't hurt at this point.

a. Why would they do that? If nothing else, the sorceress could take the amulet with her.
b. She's not defenseless, and I'd bet a dollar to a Mercedes that she knows more offensive spells than we do.
c. The question isn't "Is this better than fighting guards," it's "Is it plausible to get the amulet this way?"
d. They'd have to be moronic to abandon the amulet, and see a (which this pretty much is).
e. And that gets adventurers VERY angry at us, and doesn't get us the amulet.

That said, your plan at the end is acceptable (and pretty much what I was trying to suggest for a long-term plan...).

The one plot point missing GWG was the massive plague currently devastating the land, which Feroshire is mostly avoiding to date.
Oh yeah! People were discussing if we should let refugees in and what we should do them to make sure they weren't infected.

28195
I think that's the plan.

I'll see if I can type a summary without being ninja'd.

Sir Stone was a peasant who saved the life of the king. In gratitude, the king (who vaguely remembers Stone) knighted him and gave him the town of Feroshire to rule over. As Stone improved the town, he discovered rich mines nearby and began developing them. This attracted the attention of Count Foles, who is Stone's lord.
Not all was simple infrastructure, minerals, and intrigue, however; there was also love. Stone fell in love with and married Marna, the daughter of the duke (who is Foles's lord); they later had a little boy. Despite the happiness, there was also woe in the form of a couple assassination attempts by Foles (presumably) and a war. The former lead us to coming in contact with the Rat, an...unofficial aide and adviser, while the latter (if I recall) caused us to be promoted to Baronet. Or was it just Baron?.
Plotting against and by Count Foles was halted when he died under suspicious circumstances and was replaced by a claimant who was even less liked by the people and Stone. With help from the Rat, Stone found an illegitimate son of the old Count Foles and, with the support of at least some of the Count's subjects, installed him in the county.
That's all the major events that come to mind. I probably scrambled the order and left stuff out, and I know there are a lot of details left out (like Stone's glorious if dangerous hunts, or how the claimant was previously a knight who challenged us to a challenge that would take place when we were recovering from a bear injury), but that's the gist.

I totally own up to the fact that I went too grim, GWG. Most of that rage in the last two pages resulted from my suggestion that we shouldn't care if our wife died, because we could marry better next time. That was not in-line with Stone's established persona, however, which is occasionally pragmatic and ambitious, grim when necessary, but not an outright monster. He loves Marna. I get it. Heh.
I'm glad you're able to admit your faults and understand why they were such.

Which one?

28198
That, and it was OOC and not IC disputes.

And no worlds were devastated by the wars.

And, thankfully, there was no Udil.

28199
The biggest problem was that, while each update ended a series of arguments...the tensions remained.

As did some of the longer-term arguments.
