[Pretty much what Empiricist said. First guy got split in two after failing to murder someone, second guy almost got it if it wasn't for a good endurance roll and is now beset upon the guy's ally. Could go either way, but is kind of staggered against him. Really, who is even at the temple still honestly? Like... Five guys? Not counting Derm and company in the rune'verse.]
IM NOT DEAD YET!
[I didn't say you were dead man, I said that it could go either way but things are currently rather staggered against you, which is true. Get outside the antimagic zone and things would change.]
With magic, the biggest effect on who wins and who dies is who prayed to the Random Number God most lately.

"Fuck, Fuck, Fuck, not good!"

Preform a tactical retreat and fix my bleeding problem. With karma! Have Mylio do whatever she wants this time.... maybe touching herself willl do something... like touching that one guy shriveled up his leg... er... well do it anyways! If I get challeged to a rap battle by a crappy rapper named Billy Snow, accept the challenge.
You crawl out of the building, but get interrupted...
Rap battle Evil Unlucky.
"You're pathetic, you know that? You call yourself a rapper, but you can't even beat someone who's more concerned about his gaping chest wound than making sure his sentences rhyme."
This hurtful comment makes poor Billy Snow get -1 Attribute Point. On the other hand, victorious Evil Unlucky gets one, and a shining feel of gold manifests over him. Looking down, he sees a chain shirt of gold on his chest, stained red by the wound.
"...I finally have a shirt..."
[3+1-4] In case I didn't hint at it enough, Evil Unlucky bled out, grin on his face. No Attribute Point can save him now...but hey, he survived being stabbed in the chest long enough to best Billy Snow a third time.

Only stone Unlucky if he loses. Respectfully wait and watch the battle.
Well, it's a bit late; a little fall of rock can hardly hurt him now. But darn, is that Lucky impressive...and Billy's not a very good loser. (Well, he's good at being a loser, but you know what I mean.)
As Unlucky dies, you feel full of power...2 Attribute Points, 2 Karma Points, and a sapphire badge of power.

"Argh, how do I..."
try to heal tea girl again.
[1+1] "Why isn't magic easy?"

Just...lay here I guess. Wave an arm or something to signify that I need some fucking help.
Somehow, no one is paying attention to you.

Make Mylio my pet before finding some water.
Mylio needs a new owner, and she chooses you now that she doesn't have to attack you. Just as you hug your new pet mini-chipmunk, she turns into a fish-lady again. At least she's still only a bit over 21/2 inches (a bit over 6.5 cm) tall...
As for tea, [10+1] you now have a fine tea party which would be fit for the Queen, at least when the Royal Family was camping or something. And under the circumstances, that's pretty darn good.
[9+1] Even better, your bleeding has finally stopped!

Stay out of the way. Also edge round to that vine covered boulder and see if there's any way to attatch the vine rope to it.
You could tie a rope to the vines, but then you're depending on the vines being connected to the rock sturdily. [6-1] There is also one little outcropping you might be able to tie a rope to.

Squintage the Tinkerer appears!
This...did not end as expected. You are in some kind of building, covered in an odd mixture of blood, brains, and botanical matter. There's a moving headless woman in one corner, and you can hear some guy protesting about how he should have won "by default". Oh, and you seem to have a weird polehammer. The pole is made of wood, which you're certain isn't the paradigm; so it the "spike" sticking out one end. He looks about and notes corpses to the south and what appears to be a tea party to the west. That complainer is really getting on your nerves...

Real life calls, so I can't make the map. Remind me later.

Say, Ardas, while you're here, could the king give his verdict on keeping the large escort? I'm sensing that Alexandria is interested in Grewie leaving soon...and I kinda mentioned that I'd leave once I heard that from the king...

@GWG Maria is Anima.....in either form she's good for persuasion.
Oh, yeah!
I forget who's who a lot of the time. Not-Kyle's easy to remember, of course, but I can't remember who Gintama is or who Cyrus turns into.

Also, anyone consider that the government may actually be traitors and/or sympathetic to the invaders?
If they are, we'll need to find out.

((GWG, planning possible tactics, what equipment does grate have/plan to have?))
((Well...Grate has nothing so far and hasn't exactly planned ahead for something like this...or much of anything...so maybe something Feyri asks him to get?))

"Then why did she say you were married?"

Spoiler: Violetchiller (click to show/hide)
Hm...that ended up more min/maxey than I had imagined.
Mostly, I used a random generator and tried to make it all fit.

Realistically, letting some scientific types study some magic would probably be the best long-term plan for keeping extra-dimensional horrors from conquering the earth...
Indeed.

That actually seems like a plan. An out of control illusion of doom is certain to attract the adventurers, distract everyone from us and provide lot's of fear/mana.
Of course, it will also...attract the adventurers (and probably guards and such), make people aware something's going on, and make people afraid of us, making it harder to find hiding places. It's a last-resort kinda thing.

You realise that clashing personalities is normal for basically every single group of people since the beginning of time, a personality trait will not screw up a mission unless the person is incapable of being professional. The blades are professionals and will get the mission done as ordered, the personality traits don't come into it since of those 4 none of them hold any rank so all they do is follow orders.
I am aware.
And if you're talking about my comment about the leader, it's uncommon for someone to cause so many to dislike or distrust her so fast and without gaining any obvious friends. I know assassins and such aren't meant to be friendly, but you haven't been an assassin in our own castle. (Not that you've admitted to, at least.)

Quote
What did you expect, 40 perfect emotionless killers?
No, but the half-dozen we're aware of the personalities of struck me as being varying degrees of emotionally incompetent. Especially the one who won't kill, period. That one also suggests to me that the personalities of the others could get in the way of the job...

Clair has a Fury Relationship with Gretchen of 2 points. Gretchen is close to Clair in the class ranking making Clair feel threaten by it. It also doesn't help that the slight of her(Gretchen) set her heart aflutter. She recognize that this tend to be classify as love, but she refuse to acknowledge it. This mean that she tend to verbally lash out at Gretchen.
The technical term for this is "tsundere".
Do you want a gold star?
Um...sure?
Here, only nine more till something, I forget. It been a long time since I was in class R.
Well, I got one from Weirdsound in The Last Night Troll ("Alyce, Alyce, burning bright/In the forests of the night"), so...eight to go!

The weirdest thing is happening right now. my internet has been kicking EVERYTHING out, i'm barely getting this in.

And couldn't Nuriel and Not Kyle just carry Maria and Selina to the Capital with Conny flying behind them?
That could work.
I call Selina!
You guys do realize Anima can fly and summon a winged demon, yes?
Anima's coming with?

I would brighten up at the potential match but I have grown cynical to that thought.
Would a trope make you feel better?

I think we should all act normally, if we act dumb we may lose confidence in people... Then be thrown in a lab and tested on until science figures out how magic works.
If they did that, the scientists would have to ignore methodological complaints, research suggestions, and result requests from Angel.
But yeah, no playing dumb. And avoid turning into magical girls who are dumb.

Because then i'd have to try and take a weapon out of the sketchbook, leaving me defenceless. After the fight, you can have it and Ghost can draw a new weapon.
Selina really needs to work on her...
8)
quick-draw skills so she can get weapons more easily in combat.
Maybe she could try just scribbling a handle on one end of a line and see what happens.

Given that magic stats are more potent than normal stats, and HP is based upon stats, shouldn't magical forms have significantly higher HP than normal forms?
I think they do.
