((Oh man- this is the PERFECT mission for Thrak, Steve rest his soul.
((Why?))

Quote
Can we get an innocent civilian killed counter like the sharkmist mission?))
((Maybe one for each character? I would be amused if almost everyone's counter is in the thousands, and then Grate's and Feyri's are about 3 or 11.))

Alright, I haven't played Spore in a week, let's get a move on!

-----

"Relations with the Pizeans improved once the Imperials loaned them money for their development of various things, allegedly including cannons capable of reaching other continents; this lead to improved relations and even some trade (via Burglars)."
"The final major city of the modern world, Salds, the southern neighbor of the Kaspaitans, was founded. It was a nation under King Braun, who enjoyed and followed the teachings of Spode and hence liked the Imperials from the start."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"On a similar note, the Kaspaitans finalized an alliance with the Imperials shortly after the founding of Salds. A connection is suspected."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"When Hullin was added to the Empire, there was much rejoicing in all parts of it, from the Hullins because of the greater infrastructure budget of the Imperials and the rest because of a recent discovery in Pizean...flight. The Pizeans were coaxed to share this discovery after being reminded of their outstanding debts."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"Thus was born the Airship Enterprise, a massive zeppelin which searched the globe for obscure tribes to locate and sell stuff to. This airship had a wide variety of incidents occur on it, which inspires a series of films and other programs that continues to this day, Cloud Journey.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"The Enterprise inspired the Enterprise-class airships. While not even a third as large as the original Enterprise, these were still quite capable freighters. The E-1 became the backbone of Pizean trade."
"Velbart and Styrumin had been at war for a while, but it was getting to the point where Imperial interests were threatened. Hence, diplomatic measures were taken to prevent this war's conclusion...but it was too late."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"Trade was opened with the neighbors of the Forest Nation, after a generous donation to their infrastructure and military. It was also opened with Salds, without the need for bribery. However, the Homarpians were being besieged by the Forest Nation..."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

-----

Will the Red Nation survive siege by the Forest Nation? Will the Forest Nation rival the glory of the Cupcake Empire? Will anyone read this update?
In case the answer to this last question is "Yes," here's a little treat I just made:

In case it's not clear, that is the yert, a Lesser Race mentioned towards the beginning of the Civilization Stage.

I thought the team going to the capital was Selina, Maria, Angel, and one of the NPC girls.
Yes, but the whole "destroying Selina's house" makes Selina more certain.

And Conny should probably come, too.

Still, destroying its mind and keeping its body locked away for emergencies wouldn't be a bad thing...
Also, having a mad werecreature locked in the closet could well end up giving a nosy adventurer a fun time.
Especially if it was a heavily locked closet with a sign on it saying "DO NOT ENTER".
Or even better, SELF DESTRUCT BUTTON that releases it.
No, a "SELF-DESTRUCT LEVER" than opens a trapdoor that drops you into a pit with it!
That would probably provide sufficient food for the werewolf.

with bandits and raiders all over the place.
Oh, yeah, bandits. And raiders.
Grewie will still be a bit doubtful of why Alexandra wants ten Blades to protect him, though...

Oh for the love of... I'm sure one of you has the bigger dick. Are you seriously gonna spend your time trying to show off how 'badass' your characters are even though you're not even in conflict IC?
Have you ignored how we've fought in nearly every conversation we've both been in?

Or magically.

And, um, might I suggest Selina accompany us to the capital?

How exactly do you intend to escape 10 far fitter master assassin spies, they make a living out of tracking and killing people.

So good luck giving them the slip.
Step 1: Offer to take first watch.
Step 2: Walk away.
Step 3: Be aware that since they're master spies and not master rangers, I have a fair chance of getting to the next town before they can find me.
Step 4: Avoid spending too much time in towns.
Step 5: Arrive at my destination.

Well yes, but it depends on the time. I assume a spell takes at least a few seconds to cast, even if you're doing it in a hurry. A trained assassin should be able to kill you in that period of time.
If it comes down to combat, magic is probably my best bet. Likely followed by running, either from survivors or possibly the effects of the spell.

Don't rely on magic for self-defense if you intend to survive, maybe as a final "I am taking you down with me!", but certainly not for self-defense. Take our word for it.
It's better than dying. And, if nothing else, the threat of MAD should keep the Blades in line.

The are spies and assassins dude, and I didn't downsize the guard. That choice is mine your request was heard and promptly dismissed, sending to few places my blades at risk as well so 10 I decided and 10 it remains.
Then 10 will be left behind at some point. (I'm not sure if you've picked up on this, but Grewie doesn't trust Alexandra.)

You can try to use magic to escape but that includes the very real risk it will back fire on you,
When did I say I would use magic to escape? Magic would be to avoid being killed, if it came to that.

which would be pointless since they are only along to escort you, I have orders not to harm you.

But they'll keep going either way since they are meant to locate and assist Alexis once your delivered.
See above.

I think it's more 'You just summoned an ancient demon/faerie queen to the mortal realm. You are all now helpless slaves to their whims for all of eternity. Oops!'
I imagine there's also a chance of success.

We going to get the fight resolved? :P
Oh, eventually.

A 1-point Heart relationship with Jane Gardener, Gretchen's younger sister. While (as is the way of the world) the younger sibling annoys the older, the two are pretty close, and each appreciates the other more than they're likely to admit...perhaps in part because Gretchen remembers how Daniel was to her.

"The entirety of the Crown's income comes from the Royal Demesne and the Capital, as bishopries and your noble vassals are not taxed.
The old king really was laissez-faire.

GWG, I seriously hope you did not call me a rubbish king.
No, I was questioning her premise on the basis that you are not a rubbish king.

Because if you did.... well your gonna be alone with 10 blades for half a week or more.
I requested that the guard be downsized, the Blades follow you and not the king if what you claim is true (and hence if what I said would insult the king), and I'm a wizard. Somehow, I imagine I could shake off a few warriors without much trouble, and since they're more spies than rangers they'd probably stay shaken.

Hm.

Have the hives evolve to be symbiotic with trees. The hives get off the ground and a solid protection around them; the trees get protection and are fertilized by scraps of food and waste from the Hives.

Utilize on all available persons above the age of 13.
((Oh, good.))

"Suits? What suits are we wearing? What's Miss May doing to Miss Feyri? Is Miss Feyri okay? Why are we hurting the people and not giving them food? Why don't we move everyone from the desert to a nice place? Why don't the people move? What happened to all the water? Is there going to be a water shortage, too? Why are the people revolting? What are we doing again? Why do we sound like the bad guys? Is Miss Feyri okay? Will Miss May be coming with us?" (Breathe) "Can I get a retraining order* to keep Miss May away from me? Why are we helping the king guy? Shouldn't we be helping the peasant people? Do the kings have guns? Are the guns scary? Who has more guns? Will we have guns? Will I get a gun? Can someone teach me how to use a gun? What's a Molotov cocktail? Why will people throw drinks at us?" (Breathe.) "When will we be back? Will Mr. Jim be here? Is Mr. Jim coming with? Are these other people coming who I don't know more like Mr. Jim or like Miss May? Do I get armor? Is there a swimming pool where we're going? I always wanted to swim in a swimming pool. Where will we be sleeping?" (Breathe.) "I'm hungry and thirsty. Can I pretty please have a cookie and something to drink?"
Be extremely inquisitive.

*Restraining order, but it's something that Grate has only heard of a few times long ago.
