"Aw hayul. Ah hayt thays slayms."
(Oh dear. I hate these slimes.)

Spring at a slime and attack it with the doll arms!

"Correvon, please for the love of all that is good never utter that sentence again."
"Why not?"

"common, heads, I just want to eat, and fighting will just hurt everyone. and we are staying still too much. we need to get going before the fish or animals will be long gone"
"It won't work if half of us want to go one way and half the other! Please choose."

Laugh at Kyle.

"Okay, that was uncalled for--"No it wasn't."--sorry about that." No I'm not.

Go and rest my eyes for a moment. Try to accelerate their recovery.

Predictable? Sure. You could also have predicted that Ciro would kill Riltia...but he didn't. Besides, I'm not sure how "predicting" the possibility is germane, but I've also mostly forgotten what the root argument was about.
He didn't, this cycle. As for other cycles, who knows?
That was my point.

Quote
Predicting the possibility is relevant because people were saying "the guys in charge have noted there are anomalies this cycle, the whole system is in danger!" when we have no real reason to believe that anything that's happened could cause that. If something is an easily predictable- even if uncommon- occurence, it's that much more likely to have been factored in by whoever set up the cycles in the first place.
Ah. Yeah, that's a bit of a flimsy basis.

Quote
Oh, sure, some are more important than others. But none are unimportant, not to Oric, not if he's thinking...um...the way I would if I was an evil overlord in some kind of dungeon.
Important to Oric, perhaps, but who says he's the one in overall control of the cycles? The flash minigame suggests he's simply the current warden, not the only one who can do the job, and that replacements are built in to the system, so him losing control is not likely the end of the cycles.
It's important to Oric, and Oric is in control of a lot. Oric will use that control to make sure things are the ways he wants it to be, which if the last cycles ended as badly for the Target as it seems from the fact that he started in power and Ciro didn't, are how the last cycle (and maybe the cycles before them) ended--with the Target losing and Oric on top.

Quote
before I used that to support a theory that the dungeons somehow autorepair.
I'm not saying that the dungeons must be autorepair, I'm saying that they can be quickly and easily remodelled on a very large scale. Whether that was done by Oric, Proxxy, the Angels, the Dungeon itself, or someone else entirely doesn't really matter.
Or...they were designed by a crazy guy. Or they could be remodeled slowly on a large scale. Or there was a magma pit in the original designs.

the Greens, which seem to be a life-support system, are in the Underside. That would evidently spell doom for the entire complex within hours.
Remember how I said the Underside may well not be an original part of the Warrens? If they did get added on, they would need their own life support.
Then why did the Warrens system care how much oxygen was left in the Greens? They're part of the Underside.

Dorfliw, Nightmare Knight encounter confirmed! Think we can talk him down when we see him?
That depends on whether we have Al with us.
Or if we're in Oversoul.

The spots of light...I'm going to start with the obvious and suggest that they're just lights in a dark room a few levels down.

What's wrong with my idea?

29286
You know what I'd like to see right about now?

The Shipping Grid

So, what to add next?
Goom-Bess.
Maybe Floe too since she had some sort of relationship with Ciro in a previous cycle according to flashbacks
Really? Which ones?
Right here.
They met before, but she seems to call everyone "darling"...

The good course of actuon would be to push Floe into an acid pit again.
You have a funny definition of "good"...

We should upgrade it to a Shipping Triangrid one of these days. Or maybe Shipping Hexagon?
...Why? What would that even display?

Shipping Hypercube, so we can monitor how relationships change over time.
This would make more sense, except that we only need a rectangular prism.

This reminds me of old newspaper stories.
Well played.

I hope to make this fun to read AND to play!

"I give up."

Bring the water receptacle to the woman. Fill it first if it's not full. Hope that this works.

"Um, Ok... well, he's crazy."
Ahrian turns around and looks over at the spear-bearing-girl.
"Hey, careful now, falling off that cliff would really suck."
Ahrian offers a hand to the spear-carrying girl, and watches in case she might stumble off the cliff.
If she does stumble off the cliff, try to catch her, but don't go so far as to dive off the cliff myself.
Back away from the edge, attempting not to bump anyone. Gaze out over the edge and look for a damned way down.
Ahrian reaches a hand to her new friend, or at least she thinks she's a friend. Faye steps back, considering how to get down. Well, there's nothing obvious on this side, [7+1] but there's clearly a rope on the other side of the mountain one could climb down...a little...

Challenge someone to a rap battle that isn't Superblast.
Try to find a way down. Preferably one that doesn't end in my death.

Also, be slightly willing to do rap battles, I guess.
Edmund contemplates ways to get down, but gets nowhere before Snow comes out of it and starts rapping!
Spoiler: Rap Battle III (click to show/hide)
Wow, for a rapper, Snow sucks at rap. Anyhoo, a point to Edmund from Snow.
As Billy Snow skulks off a bit, he hears a deathgroan from the building. Weird, normally he didn't notice others deaths. Weirder, he can see a strange item materializing. They're a pair of simple, dark blue, high-heeled boots. They come into half-being, float over to Billy, and merge onto him before solidifying. As they do so, he can hear the voices of half a dozen whispering in his ear. From the sound of it, they sound as confused as he does.

'Hey..... does anyone know the way down?'
Search for anyone who doesn't appear to want me dead. Propose a team up.
There are several options. Surprisingly few people are actively trying to kill you. There's those other women on the edge of the cliff, the rapper rapping against some kind of poet (and losing), and even those guys in the building aren't trying to kill you. You're paralyzed with indecision...Try being more specific.

".... Erm...."
Shrug
"that was strange"
Walk off and look for something intreresting.
"You was supposed to wither him like a slug! Not turn cute and furry! I'll just do it myself...."
Knock out the guy and steal his stuff. If anything looks fun dangerous, use it on him.
[9-3-1v3+1] Evil Unlucky swings at Ludian but is too slow to strike a crawling man. Pathetic. He curses at Mylio, who chitters angrily back, presumably complaining that she's not any more thrilled about the result than E.U. is. [3-3-1-1v10+1] Angrily, E.U. stomps over and smashes at the other man's head, [10+1+2v1-3-1;6+1v2-3] caving it in instantly. Hm, maybe "knocking out" someone requires a more...gentle touch? Still, something gives him a willie. Not the willies, just one. Maybe two.

The First Age has ended! The last survivor: Billy Snow!
As the Age of Confusion has ended, let the Second Age begin!

Nancy Albello Spawns!

Nancy screamed as she fell into the book, and then picked herself up. This wasn't the library, and it didn't look like the inside of any book she had seen. There were vines and a tree inside a solid-looking stone building, with a big, angry man standing over the corpse of a withered man with a crushed skull, and a chipmunk who looked somewhat irritated. Weird. Weirder, and that's a word that's being bandied about a lot, there's a fading sound of epic but ominous music. As Nancy stands up, she notices a weight on her back. It is a white, skull-shaped backpack, and in it is a little book with her face on it...
But that man...that mad man, he must die. She knew it.

What exactly are all the lesser races anyway? We saw their color-coding in tribe stage, but what were they called?
Well, out of the five other tribes, one (the Gorvask) had their names displayed, while the others didn't reveal their names. I've assumed that other Lesser Races were added later, too.

I support the Economic path. Really, we don't have any justification for staying Green after the multiple acts of genocide. It's time to nosedive into Blue and get ready for our Red Galactic Crusade.
Actually, only one or two genocides.
The rest were basically enslaved.

Technically we'll be Shamans even if we kill everyone on the planet with nukes.
In theory. In practice, no nuke access.

I don't think we have any Psi powers. Or the means to create an army of little grey clones.
Tau are n...oh, wrong Ethereals.

Hmm. Might you be interested in adding me to your buddies list? Maybe one of my crazy-ass things will show up during the space stage? :P It's EricBlank on the sporepedia.

I can't play spore right now because I don't have the keycode anymore so I can't install it, but I can still access my account. I've got 138 items I haven't updated since... January 2010... Huh.
Sorry to hear that.
Well, let's see if we can find anything. Who knows--a vehicle of yours might show up before we leave the planet!

We didn't exterminate them, we just enslaved them.
Then where have they gone? Are the slaves all wearing stealth camouflage?
The LP fluff is a bit divergent from what's actually happening. But you need to be trying to see the citizens, anyways.

Which information were we going to use to recruit Proxxy?
We say that we overheard the Blue Chick and Betweenford talking about Oric losing power soon.
Her loyalty to Oric might play in our favor if we share the information. She might be willing to work with us if she thinks we can help her help Oric.
At the very least we can bring about a truce.
I like this idea. Even though it seems like it'll make Proxxy say something to the effect of:
"[identify_threat:greatest:Target ERROR To prevent harm to Oric, you must be eliminated. To aid Oric, kindly jump off the nearest cliff at your convenience."

Spring 1915
Spoiler: Turns (click to show/hide)

Notable Events:
Battle of the Channel: In late April, English and French fleets clashed in the English Channel. Casualties were few, but included the HMS London and the French Bouvet were sunk.   Some believe it may mark a new era for Anglo-French relations.
Bulgarian Annexation: Turkish armies invaded Bulgaria in late March. Bulgarian resistance was tough, with casualties of the campaign estimated at 2,000.
French Diplomatic Overhaul: Due to a number of French diplomats retiring within the span of a couple months, many undertrained diplomats are filling their ranks. The new diplomats are described as "eager but subordinate to their bosses".
German Cruiser Destroyed: The German cruiser Dresden exploded in mid-March, off the coast of Chile. Sabotage suspected.
Germo-Holland War: In early March, German fleets entered Dutch waters. By April, the might of the German armada crushed all but some token Dutch resistance forces.
Panama–Pacific International Exposition: A World's Fair held in California. Held to celebrate the recovery of a major American city from an earthquake and the completion of the Panama Canal.
Rumanian War: Austria invaded Rumania in late February, leading to a long, drawn-out campaign. Austrian and Russian forces clashed early in early May. While casualties from the two militaries numbered about 2,300 and 1,500 respectively, civilian casualties are believed to have been in excess of several thousand.
"The Trieste Incident": On April 1, 1915, Austrian forces clashed just south of Trieste. Casualties included 16 dead, 213 wounded, 5 MIA, and a small ship sunk. The battle lasted nearly 20 minutes before each side realized the other was Austrian.
Triple Alliance Broken: Italy dropped its alliance with Austria and Germany on May 4th. A pact with France, England, and Russia is suspected.

Casualtiometer: 6,000
