That's circumstantial!...Okay, yeah.

Tap Quelaak on the shoulder.

"Hay. Ah suspeukt yaour du kan-duh gah hew wou' burn du woulr...jus' ta sae i' burn. Du kan-duh gah hew ya keul o' mayk frens wid. Whi'shall i' be--fren, o' deud?"

If Quelaak reacts hostilely, attack back. If he (she? it?) is receptive to friendship, help him search the piles.

"Or if I believe I should punch you--"
Punch Joe. Lightly. For me.
"--I should?"

So here's a crazy theory. We've met exactly one Silent in the whole game: Ciro. We also know that Ciro is involved in some elaborate cycle of amnesiac reincarnation, which s/he has repeated multiple times. So what if every Silent to pass through Underside was a different reincarnation of Ciro?

Probably the most interesting implication of that premise is that Al strongly implied he's seen multiple Silents come through the village, suggesting that either each cycle is quite short (i.e Ciro dies quickly) or Al has been down in Underside for a hella long time. Though we already knew that second one, not that we've tied an actual timeframe to anything.

This also ties into Ciro recognizing Al at the Greens.

Ciro can hardly recognize Al if s/he hadn't encountered him on previous cycles, and if Al was jive to the whole "cycle" thing then he would have known who Ciro was as soon as he fell down into Underside. Thus, Al thinks there's this whole class of adventurers he terms "Silents," when really he just keeps meeting Ciro over and over.

On top of that, it seems quite unlikely Al has ever left Underside before this cycle (we even got a whole cutscene out of it!) which would imply that Al's (and Cherish's) current Underside Exodus is a major departure from previous cycles. If that's true, then we should be really careful of Al and Cherish since it seems likely they'll be eliminated/reset at the first opportunity in order to "normalize" this aberrant cycle. Unless the reset of the cycle also gives Al partial amnesia.

Partial amnesia. Is there anything it can't explain?
Interesting theory...although for that last bit, I'd like to note that Al has not yet left the Warrens, and that there's nothing to suggest he hasn't left the Underside before and returned. Assuming, of course, that he's been down here more than a couple years or that Wilford has left out times in the interim when exceptional circumstances let him let Al out. (Say, if that Cycle's Ciro was a much larger guy who knocked out Wilford before he could complain, or Wilford had a convenient flu.)

Quote from: Tsuchi, Leng, Some
Chat, play around, chat some more, look at the weird leather socks
Go hit on the ladies. Take away one of my highest points.
Edmund wanders over to the two girls and joins their conversation. He examines the large, weirdly-colored leather socks, dodging a rock which flies dangerously close to his head and muttering to reply to the inevitable apology. [5] They seem to have some kind of activated power, which unfortunately requires you to be wearing them. After informing the girls of this fact, Edmund stands a bit uncomfortably off to one side. They're about as normal as you could expect here, but that's not really reassuring...Faye looks over the socks with this hint in mind. [4+2+1] It's clearly an activated healing ability.
The rapper comes over. [1-2] "Hey, girls, do you wanna sleep with me? Because I'm sleeping with you, no matter what! ...Wait..." He doesn't get the wait.
[9V5-1-1&4V8-1][5-3v4-1]
[8v5-1][6-1v5-1-1]
Both girls swing at Snow, Ahrian rather more successfully. Her punch doesn't really hurt at all, though. Then Edmund does the same, with Snow getting a highly probable black eye.

Summon magic girl powers to heal myself(power of believe(or sheer luck) don't fail me now)
[9-1] You cause the area to begin glowing, then fall further and leave the glow behind. [MPR:4] You're more than two-thirds down, [3-2-1] but dead.

Head back into the building and grab and put on the chain shirt.
Pick up all the loot I've just examined as well.
Try to fire a glass projectile thing in a direction with nobody in the way.

Check, that would be the loot under you correct?, and [9+2-1] smashing!
The big scary guy's swim trunks fall down; you laugh. His trunks turn into a fishy lady (literally), who wanders over to you and taps your shoulder. [2-1] Your leg withers! You fall over, feeling generally crappy.

"Ugh.... where the hell am I?" Is what Unlucky says as he wakes up his... however long his sleep was. Then he notices he has some weird stuff he doesn't recognize. And they seem to do something....
Test out what my stuff can do. Test on nearest weak looking person in my stuff doesn't do stuff on there own.... some much stuff....
(You also have two Attribute Points to spend.)
Evil Unlucky awakes from a mental stupor, trying to remember. That coif he has turned his skin leathery, that was easy to find out. However, that still leaves this weird rocky thing and, of course, the swimsuit. [2-4,10-4] The former presumably has some kind of godifying enchantment, while the latter seems to be able to summon some kind of ally. When your only combat thingies are a stone cloak and some leathery skin, allies are good, right? Let's see if you can figure out how to get the ally...[6+1-1+1] You figure out how and invoke the enchantment! First thing, your shorts fall down; there's someone laughing at you. Secondly, they sorta expand and thicken, beginning to emit smoke. It seems like they're trying to crawl away, and get a lot bigger. When the smoke clears, it's...some kind of woman. She's wearing a bikini and looks to be in her early 20's. On the other hand, she also has a round and sideways-flattened head (you'd say laterally compressed, but you don't know what that means) which looks like some sort of fish, scaley skin, and fins for hands.
"Um...hi?"
"Hi! I'm Mylio. What's your name?"
"Never mind that right now. Is there anything you can...do?"

"Oh, sure! Watch this:"
Mylio goes over to the guy who laughed at your wardrobe malfunction and tapped him on the shoulder. One of his legs withers; he falls over. "Nice."
"Thanks. It doesn't always do that. Or maybe it does. I haven't tried much. It was a great party trick, until I turned one guy into goop."

Fezzy Spawns!
The spirit of Dakota Jones's fez coalesces in the building. She notes a small club in her hand, with a little green ring around the handle. [9-1] She notices a small button in the ring.

Depends on the abomination.

I'm sensing one of those times that people will suggest their own ideas instead of +1ing anything, so I'm going to be listing a list of things. Vote on ideas which you didn't propose. (You can still suggest things.)

((If Sirius's quote of the feat is correct, and it would be moronic and probably pointed out if it wasn't, grammatically dissecting the sentence reveals that:
Combat advantage is gained by you, if you are using a ranged or area attack against an enemy and the enemy is flanked by allies.
I don't see anything suggesting that you must be flanking from range, or even that you can.))

Explain what "slotting" someone means to the candle. Wonder if this is a sign of insanity.

"You mean roc eggs, right? I hear that they contain a pretty fair quantity of salt, just cook it longer to boil off the albumen. Anyways, two-and-two, neck-and-neck. Any opinion, Joe?"

I just realized something.

"Watcher of the watch".
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes, anyone?
Then again, it could just be a rhyme :P
It could be rhyme or wordplay, but I agree that the Angels watching the wardens makes sense.
Of course...who watches Betweenford?

I think playing the guitar just gave you guitar practice.

Your math works out, but the only way you'll get better is to keep trying. And, given your lack of Creativity, there's only a 9 in 30 chance of anything bad happening, and that assumes that Confusion is bad. Is there anything that says it is?

Is there something I'm missing? Why is the Coffin doomed?

Why do the missile launchers have no range? Do they fire mini-ships?

Magnum: Open fire on the ship at (3.12) (with the E 1-LP, of course)
Magnum, Ted ships: Hold course
All other ships: Accelerate (0,0,-1)

Good, friends?
