((Hey can you say if that map is the map of the world or not? I'd love to know where the location of things around the world are generally at.))
It's actually only about 2/3 of the northern hemisphere. But the rest of the world is sort of a 'lost lands', which hasn't been explored much, and as such maps are rare.
Hm...cou,d we reach the rest by means of, say, a miles-long dragon?

Also, are there any people in play with such low Badassery that they'd almost always be the target of the Bookwyrm? And how long is the Bookwyrm's reach? I've got a plan...maybe with Hastur's watch...and we need to put Osborn somewhere safe...
Quite probably. Even an airship or a boat would be just fine, since it's not too far, just large and mostly uninhabited. The bookwyrm's range is pretty massive, but it's really too big to notice most people without them doing something to attract its attention or drive it into a blind rage.
(The Bookwyrm is really the ends, not the means.)

Anyways, I have a plan. It involves taking control of the Bookwyrm for our own purposes. If anyone wants to know more, I'm forming a PMing "alliance," inspired by similar teams in Perplexicon, with which we can organize some efforts to harness the might of that awesome being.
You may have to do that before Hero McSilverSurfer with me tries to kill the thing.
Why?

Coincidence? The same thing happened again. Evil Unlucky has two points to spend, Snow has -1, and Unlucky...
As he crosses his arms, a reddish, cape-shaped cloud of energy manifests and drapes itself, flowing in the wind, dramatically. As it solidifies, it becomes more heavy and flows downward around his shoulders, with a final burst of solidity becomes a mantle of reddish stone. It's heavy, [7+1] but you manage to remain perfectly fine under the pressure.

Climb down the way down.
[4+3-2] Oh dear. You would be perfectly fine, but your broken ankle can't hold much weight; you lose your grip and begin to fall down the mountain! The bad news: [9-2+1-2] You are badly scratched and scraped. The good news: [MPR: 4] You're now halfway there!

Wait to turn back into a human.
Get dressed.

You turn into a naked human, save the monocle and hat. Blushing slightly, you slip your suit back on. It's badly scuffed, seems to have a couple rips, and you're not sure if that footprint on the shoulder will ever go away.

"so... what now? any idea what we're doing here?"
look around, continue following spear-girl.
Turn to Ahrian.
Y-yikes! I didn't notice you come up behind me like that, ah... Please don't do that, I might have attacked you, and I don't want to cause any trouble...
Shyly back away, sure not to step over the edge of the mountain.
dont get the message
"Bah, I'm not that scary."
Step over next to spear-girl, ignoring her personal space, and look down the cliff where she did
"Hunuh, long drop. anyways, what's up? Got any idea what we're doing here? and what's with the spear anyway?"
Girl talk. How uninteresting, as far as things the GM has to do go.

Explore the great unknown! To the east!
There's a couple girls talking to you towards the south, and the monkey turned into a naked man. He looks vaguely familiar...

It should be noted that I gave Snow a +2 to all rolls in both rap battles.
It didn't help.

White spice is a bug caused by colonies being placed on planets which can't have spice.

I swear, I'll update this...

When did we see proof that Oric or Cain could Oversoul?

29555
I meant PMs, but *shrug*. Suit yourself.
Wait...I thought you meant "propose in the IC thread"...

Yes reptile-looking man is acceptable for a rough draft form.
WE CAN ALWAYS IMPROVE LATER
*crosses fingers that this is correct*
Shapeshifting can be a later ability, right? (Just so long as we don't turn into a snake. That never helps.)

Alright, I am going to put as a thin tall man with slight reptilian characteristics. For example, he has vertical pupils, and his skin look scaly up close(said skin is also tougher then basic human leather). There's this mild thing that just a little bit wrong about him that would ennerve anyone quickly, but demon ancestry is common enough that people wont start burning you at the stake just for looking a bit "off".
When being chased by a tall, hissing man with a larger amount of toughness then any normal human, I'd personally be scared.
Add in the toxin-delivering fingernails that can extend, please. That should be pretty cool, and easy to disguise.
Agreed. Best part, no one disagrees with that and most of us agree.

The wax was just an adhesive, and the same has been pointed out to me.

"Hm...did I try this already? Well, can't hurt to look again."

Search the jungle for a gourd or something else hollow to put water in.

"Why is this town so devoid of water-carrying objects, anyways? No one had a spare waterskin or barrel?"

Themeatic!
Aside from the aforementioned age issue, I'm going to request that you either pick one of the talents or narrow them both.

Looks pretty good. Excellent backstory.

Pray to God for mercy, then release the sill and fall to the ground. Check self for injuries.

Wonder what happened to OSHA. Then do all that.

Actually, the bigger issue here is that they don't have anything to steal yet. Of the two times you tried to snag Plans, one succeeded and the other got very unlucky.
Eventually and when you get unlucky, yeah. You had no trouble eavesdropping on a lot of conversation prior to getting found out, even with all of them clustered together.
I note that we seem to get unlucky with fair regularity...

Quote
No, you've tried asking them why they're not on your side already. Also, no reason at all?
We did? and None that I can see.

While they're busy doing dumb things, sneak beyond open shield like so:

Sneak in low and slow over the edge of the split dome, then sneak up to the green.

... and surreptitiously hide underneath asteroid-thing.

When they shut the shield again, then either the plan worked or they caught on and imprisoned you in a sphere forever with no chance of escape.

Either way, your situation hasn't gotten worse!

This. It's about the best option we have.

I really don't see why we would need to be hostless, unless we are being scanned for possession, in which case a manifesting demon would have to be detectable too...
Because Mongoose is mortal. Because he can be captured and we may need to succeed. Because any of a thousand things could happen which deprives us of our host or even our whole cult, and because we can't expect the universe to give us anything we need, no matter how much we need it.

Quote
We would not associate with our host's former acquaintances unless pressed, would typically choose hosts who lacked social support, and have done perfectly well at mimicking our hosts thus far.
What makes you think it would be our choice, would we then scan our potential host for however long it takes to determine they don't have any relationships, and would we then toss aside our cultish desires for the sake of the masquerade.

Quote
Mongoose being literally human really doesn't seem to be an issue to me.
There's another factor that's harder to put into words. Basically, if we are actually a horrible monster and just inhabit a human, if forced out of or leaving the human body we become "killable," not to mention less chilling and fearful. To explain the latter...have you ever seen Resident Evil 4? Were you more afraid of the human-but-supernatural Wesker or those weird zombies with the deadly tentacle things?

Quote
In combat, it would be less about potency, though form is a factor and human could be improved upon, and more about varied abilities.
Which ones would we be unable to add to a supernatural human form?

Quote
There are many physical abilities outside of combat,
Which ones would we be unable to add to a supernatural human form?

Quote
we already have cultists if we need human abilities,
So, we're going to become dependent on a resource we can't guarantee the longevity or loyalty of?

Quote
but if we need to pull something along a narrow drainage pipe without being detected,
...Why? And snakes aren't too good at that...

Quote
or stretch up to reach something two storeys above us,
How would a snake thing do that?

Quote
or fly,
How would a snake thing do that, and can't we do that in gaseous form?

Quote
or have folk turn into stone if they look at us, or swim indefinitely(Actually, I expect that water currently represents a significant obstruction to our gaseous form, an aquatic form would probably be ideal.), or fight armed opponents when unarmed(Which really requires some form hardened body part, which is fine for a claw, but harden your whole arm and it impacts your mobility...),
Why couldn't we add those to the supernatural human? For the last, such a human would do better than a snake.

Quote
or hide where a human couldn't,
Gaseous form.

Quote
or be worn as clothing,
Why?

Quote
or be identified as a peaceful woodland creature with an antidote to all toxins...
Why, and what's wrong with being identified as a hermit with an antidote to all toxins?

Quote
As for social engagements, If our true form becomes known, and it is human, then others might suppose that we really are human, and if they believe that we chose to be human, then what does that say to dwarves? Or elves? Or mermaids or orcs or goblins or pixies or minotaurs or 'obbits or humans of a different age, gender, racial group, height, hair or eye colour, build, proportions or anything else that might catch their eye and ire? When we could choose anything, being just like everyone else is a wasted opportunity. I vote sea serpent!
Why would this matter? And, for that matter, did you note that I was also suggesting forms which could easily pass for human in proper clothing?

Generally speaking, critters either breath water or air. There are exceptions,
Cutaneous respiration and modifications. Heck, even some turtles can breathe underwater.

Quote
Well, we could just cheat and have one of those serpents that can fly just because.
Couldn't we be a human/oid that flies just because?

Quote
I think that you can qualify as a sea serpent with a diameter of only about four metres, you could get around on land with that.
Oh, yes, great for dragging stuff down narrow pipes and hiding places humans can't...

Well, we can pass for semi-normal, so this is good enough for me.

Can we go with an amorphous physical form?  One that can move underwater or on land and is slightly blob like so it's hard to hurt with weapons.  We could also form arms, legs and other stuff like that if we needed to but normally we would just get around my slithering around like a little fast moving amorphous eel.  Oh and with a form lik that we could slither into peoples' mouths in combat to possess them or eat them from the inside out, almost like a horror movie.
Seems a bit OP...
