GWG, I'd rather see you send an IC offer, OOC tells me nothing of what you want.
...What do you mean?
GWG, I'd rather see you send a message from your party to mine in-character, laying out your proposal for a coalition, rather than just saying so in this thread. I'm still pretty hazy on what your party actually wants and supports.
Well, I'm not really certain how I would make the proposal in-thread...in part why I decided to ask beforehand in the OOC thread, so my lack of idea what to do didn't impact the effect. And so I didn't make a fool of myself or waste time.

We can eat them later.

1. Disagree (it's too silly)
2. Agree

Did I make an avatar? I don't remember. Is there somewhere that this info is listed?

I just think it is hilarious that an absurd number of people believe we Aussies ride kangaroos, as if we would do that! Emus are much faster.
I'd imagine they're easier to tame, too. And your stables wouldn't need to be built to keep the emus from hopping over them.
This. Also when we have boomerangs who NEEDS kickboxing? No, scratch that. BRB, genetically combining Emus with Kangaroos. Hell, why not throw a little venomous snake in there too. What could POSSIBLY go wrong?
Nothing, if your plan is to make a very expensive stillborn.

I'd be willing and eager to share my knowledge with this new MegaList, but most of it simply isn't mine to give. I can't imagine that Aether would want to give its hard-earned secrets to anyone not helping them, so we'd need some kind of promise that Bismuth or something would also reveal their whole list...and even then, no promises.

Roll To Dodge / Re: The Marketlings: Signup on aisle 4!

After a conversation with Teddy, Player (2) tries to roll his eyes but crosses them instead, looking like (1) an artard.
...You rolled for this?

Try to find someone else who can "supervise" me so I don't need to stick with the rest of the group when I want to do different things.

((That wasn't actually intended as advertisement, I just have Les Mis on the brain. Probably has something to do with how the various songs are running through my head and have been for over a week. Current stuck-in-head: One Day More. Most annoying: Master of the House. But we're getting off-topic.))

"Thanks, Mr. Steve!"

Enter the VR, attempt to find and enter Ms. Feyri's simulation whatever-it-is. See if I can get Equaterina into the simulation with me. Regardless of if I succeed, try to find Ms. Feyri.
((This should be...interesting...))

((Hey can you say if that map is the map of the world or not? I'd love to know where the location of things around the world are generally at.))
It's actually only about 2/3 of the northern hemisphere. But the rest of the world is sort of a 'lost lands', which hasn't been explored much, and as such maps are rare.
Hm...cou,d we reach the rest by means of, say, a miles-long dragon?

Also, are there any people in play with such low Badassery that they'd almost always be the target of the Bookwyrm? And how long is the Bookwyrm's reach? I've got a plan...maybe with Hastur's watch...and we need to put Osborn somewhere safe...

Pocket the coin. Vaguely consider if this is like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.

Wander somewhere. Determine if the frog is following.

Wow, we are just going to coally with anyone these days, I feel dirty...
Actually, they're a lot like my party in their policies.

Spoiler: My ideas (click to show/hide)
Then why didn't anything happen when we went to other alternate battle systems, or when we fought the Goombas?
The second theory is interesting, though...should we activate the tactical combat system and see what happens?

Sometimes, the most horrible and terrifying monsters...are the ones who look just like you and I, but aren't.
The issue is that we already are exactly that. Mongoose fills that role quite nicely. There really isn't any reason at all to have a backup humanoid form when the world is already filled with backup humanoid forms for us to choose from.
Firstly, Mongoose is human. Nice little issue with that theory there. Secondly, we won't always have access to Mongoose or another host. Thirdly, the creep factor is lost somewhat if the monster's True Form is monstrous.

It shouldn't ever be difficult to find a host. Gettign a specific host is tricky, but just randomly grabbing someone and keeping them awake for a few days should get us an easy host. Bonus points if we use lures designed to catch weak-willed types...
Yes, because these people never have loved ones or comrades who would mind if their friend or family-member started acting really weird and deserted their home, which wouldn't be suspicious at all.

Remind me, why do we need a monstrous form again? To be good at combat--well, if we really want that, despite the fact that we've mostly left that to others when possible in the past, we can have our human form be unnaturally strong or have poisoned claws on its fingers or something. (And if we can't have that as a human, we can't have it as an inhuman, so there's still no advantage to being such.) To terrify others--what kind of evil entity are we that we need to look scary to scare our victims? To make absolutely certain that we will be dependent on having a host if we want to interact with the world, and make sure that we can't go around the countryside hostless--that's the biggest disadvantage, incidentally.

Also also, begin attempting to decipher the "language" the books are written in. It shouldn't be hard, especially the maps since they have labels next to things.
