You can also steal food after razing the hut.

No rockets means no early space program means no space program means lots of sad stuff. Aw.

Anyways, looking up mid-1930's sociological theories and going from there...

"We can talk about that later, sir. First..."

Head over to Pantyhose.

"Don't worry about your name. There's a mighty warrior in my hometown named Brasiere. No one really says his name of because he tends to get enraged by anyone doing so, though. Anyways, you can rise above your name. Anyways, let me see that knee."

Examine and try to patch up the boy's wound.

So compromise: undeath becomes a penalty under the justice system. Loyal goblins are, instead, rewarded. No undue cruelty is meted out. Our decisions should be made to benefit those who serve us, as well as ourselves.

Think of it more like a cattle farm than a potato farm, except that you need live cattle, not beef. So a dairy farm. Do you slaughter the dairy cows?
It really is exactly like a potato farm, potatoes don't magically appear from the ether... But if it were a dairy farm then it would be castrating a proportion of the dairy cows so that they magically don't need to graze anymore but still produce milk. And I rather suspect that an evil dairy farmer would be producing a lot more dairy cattle than they could feed...
Except that they produce much lower-quality milk. And the non-castrated cows would not be happy about it and might rebel...this isn't a very good analogy any more.
(And, as a side note, many breeds of cattle only produce milk after their calves are born.)

It seems neither GWG's Gedankenjustierer nor the Alldeutsche Verband are going to enter elections...
My party is based on the scientific theories of the time, and it's hard to make a platform from those if I'm not sure what they are. Should I use modern theories, historical ones, what?

29856
I think they replace SP or something.

You contemplate testing the metal bar for edibility, before asking Figura about that.

"Hey, Figura, can you eat this?"
"I'm not sure if I can eat ANYTHING.

Time for other stuff. First: See if we can fix the hot-plate.
[20+2][-1 Creativity] The Hot-Plate is working again! Next, let's make some kind of food-maker. Again. A hydrocarbon synthesizer, perhaps. [7,20;4][-2 Creativity] You create a normal pot. Darn it! [14][-1 Creativity] Stupid die. Well, the inside of the pot is pretty greasy, that's a start... [18][-1 Creativity] You see that the pot is slowly filling with a black, greasy, oily thing. You decide to call it oil.

Perhaps this could have been avoided if you had mastered basic chemistry?

Alright, you've got enough Creativity to try making some other food-maker.
[20,3;20] [-2 Creativity] You create a wooden spoon. A very nice wooden spoon.

Finally: Meditate.
[10-5][-1 Creativity, +1 Confusion] You just can't concentrate, and nothing makes sense. It doesn't help that Figura interrupts you.

Why not cooking? If she wins the cooking contest she can eat the egg for a big 50 point bonus to con(I think) or keep the egg for 100 points in sensitivity, but talking to the Jester will raise sensitivity anyway.
+1ing this.

Play With Your Buddies / Turn Tribes-A [14]
« on: May 26, 2013, 09:58:09 am »
From what is believed to be the next volume of his journals

Soon, our village expands. We have the {mates? allies?} make some maracas; Froko and Pondu make a hut to put them in. On another note, at about the time the hut is filled, a baby named Kimes is born.

We may have trouble on the horizon.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
We do, however, have some {daggers? tricks? [fish]?} up our sleeve...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Little Kimes is full of ideas. For instance, he grabbed a maraca, and later he took some food to a meduza and tamed it.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
In other news, Aigray and Poussige were born. Yes, our village is quite functional.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I decided that everyone should grab a maraca, since they seem so useful. Except me, I'm the Chief. Maracas aren't a chiefly tool...and besides, I'm already holding a staff.

In any case, we have decided to pay this Brown Village--appropriate name--a little...visit.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
They saw our maracas, and interestingly requested a concert. I consented...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
They requested an encore, followed by an alliance. We accepted both. We swapped knowledge of our tools and instruments, and then a lightshow started at the village!
Spoiler: The above sentences (click to show/hide)
Now there are three new villages sprung up, calling themselves the Pink, Cyan, and Lavender Tribes. I suspect that the Pink Tribe is tired of its name, as it hates us and everyone.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Editor's Note: The proliferation of intelligence among several species at once is presumed to be due to the Niosan tendency to assimilate genes. Hence, our kind came first, then other species began assembling sentience from genes gathered from dead Cupcakes. By the time they reached sentience, the Cupcakes had a head start on virtually all technological and cultural processes, which is why they are the lower races and we are not.

Can we build mounds or something? As I think we should, and make them big. Like, really big.
No, but we can build tool huts!
Yeah, Spore is kinda limited in Tribe Stage. Which is kinda sad.

Anyways, shall we keep allying tribes or start exterminating them?

make sure we have all our stuff, including Mr. MacGuffin.

Attack its weak point for massive damage, naturally.

Quick! Aim for the cephalothorax!
Well, duh. What else would we aim for, the abdomen? The cephalothorax kinda blocks it...

You guys need to decide which direction to disengage in, or I'll just coinflip it/do what I want.
How about...away?

Awww... Was I too late with my sheet? :C
