IMA is still running? I, too, vote that that one explode first. It's kinda, y'know, overly silly.

1. Disagree
2. Agree (it sounds like an interesting idea)
3. Agree, obviously (but I'm not listed there, so...)
5. Disagree (I wish I could have a line-item vote...)
6. Agree
8. Agree
9. nervously Agree

Oh, and doesn't Petition 3 kinda negate the Petition On Hold?

Alright...let's see if we can have this work out. This asteroid seems to have strange properties on the surface, strongest in the caves and valleys. We're detecting a cave system underneath the surface, where these properties should be enhanced. Now, then...remember, here's what we need from you. First, set up the 'Port. This will let you get back and more easily send reinforcements. Secondly, explore. Try not to get lost! We've included some spray paint, use it to mark rooms. Thirdly, try setting up some basic equipment we've sent with you to make a temporary base until such time as you can return. Alright, do you understand everything? Good.

-----

This will be a fairly simple game. The premise is exploring a bunch of caves with weird effects, which would be called magic in many worlds but are called "Anomalies" here. You are a team of explorers, technicians, and such of various backgrounds, brought to investigate the Anomalous Asteroid, a small asteroid orbiting erratically and currently near the Earth-Sun L4 point.

System:
While numbers won't be used much, anything needing such will use the same skill system as in A Beginner's Guide. Basically, a d30 is rolled and modifiers applied to figure out how well you succeed or if you fail.

Characters:
You're experts in your fields, well-known to fellow professionals and possibly to the public at large. You are the best of the best. That's why you were brought here.

The initial team will be somewhere between 4 and 6 members. Waitlisters will be added later, once the 'Port is set up.

Oh, one level wasn't the maximum? Good.

I'm inadvertently running 3 partially-illustrated games at once on top of a job and school. Start placing your votes on which of those things explodes first. Note: "freeformschooler himself" is a valid option.
I vote...Which three are you referring to?

29961
You started this only a couple months ago?? Freeform! You monster! D:

4 months is more than a couple :P
It's within 50% of Several's lower edge.

I know, as indicated by:
I'm glad I finally got an answer, though.

By the way, for one of my Powers, I'm torn between Astral Construct and Control Flame. One seems like a lot of work, the other seems...limited. Advice, party members?

I suspect I'd be better at mastahcheese's game if I stopped wandering off the sides of the screen.

If you could keep a civil tone, I might answer you, rather than just snub you.
I started civil and humble...
How much are we allowed to rebuild our characters?
...that got no answer. Hence I got, well...two posts above. I'm glad I finally got an answer, though.

"As much as I'm reluctant to work with you, I'm more worried about what happens if I don't. To translate: I'm in."

Not as uncrowded as Antarctica!

Warning: I take no responsibility for anyone settling in Antarctica and promptly starving or freezing to death.

Determine its edibility.
It's...metal. Metal is inedible.

"Hey, Figura, can you open this?"
"Yes."

It turns out to be boring--just some kind of small, solid metal bar.

While we realize that other countries may be hesitant to restrict guns, we would like to propose two documents. The first is a treaty regulating the sale of heavy weapons internationally. The second establishes an international Antiterrorist Council dedicated to coordinating antiterror efforts.
"The latter is a bit more limited in scope than we'd like international organization to be...but we approve of both."

"The terrorists or the nation? If the former, you're an idiot, but if the latter, I don't see why that privilege would need to be specially given. It could be removed at times, of course, but I feel that it should be the norm rather than the exception."
"Of course I meant the country. I thought it was obvious enough that I needn't provide the antecedent."
"Off the records...you know what happens when you assume something, right? You make an a--What do you mean, I can't say stuff off the records?"

"The Swiss Government is firmly against the former, and will pursue the latter so long as it is in line with our sovereignty and our neutrality."
"I'd like to point out that the former bill is just restrictions on selling artillery-level weapons to those in other nations. Hm, wait, you export a lot of those, don't you?...Yeah, I see your point."

PX-39 is absolutely astonished you'd harm her ally and leaves the party along with the loot you had her pick up.
You idiots.

I prefer not killing things when possible.
+1

I suggest we start by removing ourselves from the water, then have Slog nudge the robo-corpse to the edge of the pool. Meanwhile, Ciro will head north and try to reconcile with the other robot. The plan will probably go awry by then.
