Um...whoops. Somehow, I edited over the old turn with the new one.

"Welcome back to The Evolution of Us, hosted by me, Inetaig. When we left off, Junglis had just begun to make one of its characteristic evolutionary leaps. Spurred onward by ingesting the limby DNA of the Ctheux, they promptly grew five. The new creatures were much more mobile than their ancestors, among other differences. They became...

Somehow, probably due to me leaving the game running overnight (albeit in the Creator!), the game added up to 14 billion years that we've been existing! I'm going to stop leaving the game running (if I remember) and just pretend that's the age of the universe, and that the actual species's age is about 12.5 billion years less.

Anyways, Let's get down to business. We ran into Scraps. I don't like leaving known, ignored nests if I can avoid it, so I want to do something. As it so happens, if we decide that that "something" is to kill them, we have an advantage; if we decide that we should befriend them, we are at a disadvantage. Which shall we do?

To see what would happen, of course! I was hoping for an ink-producing fungus, but meh.
...I think I also had another reason, but for the life of me can't remember what.

Words of SCIENCE!! Remind me to PM them later, somehow I've already gone over the limit.

Stop the Zombies

Move TopHat, his military, and Zanzetkuken to a planet and destroy/disable their means of egress.

Prepare a trial for them.

Replace the destroyed bits of universe.
You need to speak with god like authority.
But those were just my...fine.

((I wonder how they cloned Jesus.))

"What's your favorite consonant?"

Ask the above.

Hey, GWG, is this dead?
It's really unwieldy and slow, partly because of all the rules, partly because of the size of the field, partly a few other reasons. If anyone else feels up to tackling GMing this, let me know and I can send you the Ronin's stats. Or you can start fresh.

Just because it's an expy of Christianity doesn't mean they call it Heaven.
My understanding of Middle English is not what it used to be--in fact, it never was quite as good as it used to be--yet the Old English word was heofon so it is trivial to point out that people here arent really calling it heaven. However, they also probably don't call a bear properly a bear in this language. Yet it was a bear that we fought, rather than besting a wild snargleflob. Mal speaks their language fluently and helpfully translates everything into culturally similar English words. In our character's possessions, we have a copy of the New Testament, for example.
True.

Wow, I took my attention off this for, like, a month at most, and we replaced the count and survived a plague! Great job! :)
And maldevious is going to be a daddy? Congratulations and happy, happy mother's day to your beloved! :D
Wait, that was all less than a month ago?

I'm telling ya, they're gonna be gone, with our elites killed.
Sh! Don't give him ideas!

30323
Hm. Interesting...far more so than a polar bear.

How much are we allowed to rebuild our characters?

I have to say, the following would be nice:
Phrase of Speed
Phrase of Perfection
Syllable of Swiftness
Swiftness seems useful, but again there's the issue that I don't feel like I'm contributing much. If I can rebuild by replacing Utterances, I'd probably replace Word of Dragons with it though.
As for Perfection and especially Speed, we run into the issue of not contributing much. And Perfection has the bookkeeping issue--it only helps if we remember I gave Asrean +3 to Strength or whatever.

Anyways.

C] Both of the above, via Psychic Warrior and the Expanded Knowledge feat. Pros: You get to ride around on a kickass astral dragon contruct while full attacking people and truespeaking: Cons: -2 levels of truenaming. Overall: Good, if you think you can squeeze in the feats and equipment needed to make this work.
You sell this pretty well.

I already said I wanted them to do what Stone deemed the bare minimum. You know, that one guy who was a farmer but is a baron now? Also, for some reason I thought the farmers had fled into town.
Let's quarantine all discussions about last month to the confines of last month. The reasons have been said there already.
Problem is, by completely ignoring my reasons which had been stated, you made me look like a fool. I had to point out what I actually meant to avert that.

Also, people don't flee to towns during epidemics. Even in the old days. The principle that you get sick if others nearby are sick has been understood for most illnesses such as the common cold since time immemorial.
I didn't say I understood why I thought that.

the deceased are in Heaven/Valhalla*/Whatever
Heaven. We've established that christianity, with actual christian symbols and themes, is the only religion here. This is how it must be in order to have verisimilitude with the real middle ages. Mal doesn't want to emphasize the religious aspect, but it is still there in the background. Personally, though, I think a crusade or two might be just the thing... especially after we've finished sinning our way to the top, and at last discover an urgent desire for salvation.
Just because it's an expy of Christianity doesn't mean they call it Heaven.

Let's hold off on receiving merchants and visitors from outside, but ease back into normality within our own community over the next month. At the very end of the month, send letters to all of our acquaintances inquiring of their health and the extent of the plague in their localities. I want to see how big this event was. It certainly was not The Real Deal on the scale of the Black Death, but we lost a good 20% of population anyway. Based on replies from elsewhere, we may wish to continue the external quarantine, and to quarantine the messenger, too, if really bad.
Sounds good.

30327
Was that a polar bear or some exotic, post-apocalyptic monstrosity?
The latter, kinda. A large feline creature with really large theeth.
Did it look like a Smilodon?

((Agreed.

Also, why is no variation making a light green glow?))

30329
I just realized something.

We're supposed to be like normal people in the modern world, aren't we?
Modern, with some postmodern twists. Alien species aren't a rare sight, per se. Contact was established 25 years in the past.
Ah. So Dragonborn are okay?

And are there firearms?
