Play With Your Buddies / Turn Junglis 1 [5]

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"Welcome to The Evolution of Us, a Biology Channel Special. I'm your host, Inetaig, as seen in Cold South, Right Spores, and The Man with the Red Tentacle. We're starting with the first Niosan to walk on land..."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"Junglis massiv, a creepy little creature just out of the water. It has a few adaptations to live on land. While it still breathes through its skin, it has a pair of spines on its belly to help propel it forward. Its little beating tails turned into a pair of useful antennae, and the electricity used for defense has now become another sense and a communication device. Its most notable characteristic is its poison gland, which can ooze out poison at a surprising range for a creature only four or five [9 cm] long. It was probably brightly-colored, to let enemies know that it's a baaad idea to tangle with it.
"Like all Nisoans, Junglis could absorb DNA from other creatures and copy their bodies."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"It's believed by some scientists that Junglis was capable of eating a wide variety of foods."
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
"It's believed that some DNA for the creatures may have been obtained from skeletons of dead animals left lying around.

"Junglisses were presumably rather...

"...open in their affections. Sorry, sir, not interested today! This Junglis is going elsewhere...specifically, to this nest of fellow amphibious creatures.

A name would be nice, too.
You've hurt me Wyrm... My heart hurts in a way that cannot be described.
I thought you wanted to save it for later. Sorry.

Omnivore would make survival easier. Anyway, as long as we don't evolve eyes for the entire creature stage, we get an achievement.
That's legs. Eyes would make sense if it was an achievement, too.

Anyways, what shall the Junglis race do about these lobster-like critters? There are...choices.

And, for that matter...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

So. Plans?

Man, everyone has such luck except me.

I can't just jump into this alone...but my servants--minions--whatever--won't last much longer on their own...

Prepare for an expedition and try to guess where my servants could be.

At this point in time, there's two main factions among the players, Team Aether and Team Bismuth, along with a handful of minor groups which have no more than a few people each. If you don't know many words, I believe both teams offer their entire word list to members, but you'd have to ask them about that.
They offer their whole word list. Aether's builds on that of the first alliance, which means they have about 95-99% of the words.
Also, despite what you've heard, I believe Bismuth only has about four, maybe five members total. Sorry, Paris.
Now THAT's a lie big enough to walk on its own, like they say where I come from. 99% of the words? Don't make me laugh.
We've been at it a while. Like, since way back when there were characters of the first generation in the Arena.
And 99% was an upper estimate. We certainly know enough to duplicate essentially any magical effect you say.
MAKE A GIANT MONITOR LIZARD MADE OUT OF POISON GAS AND ALCOHOL THAT IS FIRED AS A BULLET OF A GATLING GUN OF GIANT MONITOR LIZARDS MADE OUT OF POISON GAS AND ALCOHOL.

IF POSSIBLE, MAKE A GATLING GUN THAT FIRES THE ABOVE GATLING GUNS.
1. Duplicate.
2. That would cost a crapton of mana.
3. Hm...do we know any words for "monitor lizard" ir would we have to just make a big lizard?

Even 95% is a ridiculous number. That means that you somehow got to know the exact meaning of all but 9/191 words. And THAT is a lie, since there are definitely words that haven't even been used by anyone yet. I have your own admission that you don't know many page 3 words.  If you said 85%-90% then MAYBE I'd believe you. But as it stands, everybody knows that at least 25% of page 4 and 5 is unknown. So, stop lying, you're just making a fool of yourself.
I'll admit to not having made an exact count of the words we know, or for that matter of the total number of words.
Last I checked, there were a lot of them.

Replication is not the same as knowledge. Do you, for example, know the word for link? The word used to alter the effects of your spell with your mind? The word for pool? The word for suck ethereal walls out of people? I may not know these words, but I've seen piecewise hint to their existence. And since nobody has used them yet, you definitely don't know them unless piecewise started giving away words or something.
"Duplicate" means others have done it. No one has done those. Besides, some of those might simply be combinations of words rather than single words.
However, that does remind me...I'm checking the word list for things to test.

My vote goes to burn the fields more physical damage then attacking the dang tree thank of the economic effect and the fire will spread hopefully even to the tree and start a few fires and run like heck less risk.
...So? We were told to pierce the Tree's bark, so we will pierce the Tree's bark.
Exactly. And nothing more. But not before getting to know the tree and its surrounding a bit better.
Which does not reuire setting it on fire.

When do we learn about Muffini Minor? [Best name suggestion ever...]
Do you want to name this that?

Also, it seems that we have the following:
Use a pair of flagella as horns/antannae
Legs are for WIMPS!
as suggestions for the creature. Do you want it to basically be like Spodinger?

"...Spodinger minos, which was approximately the same size and had electrogenic organs and toxin glands, as well as several flagellae. However, it was slightly smaller, and lacked the spines and jaws of its ancestors. It was swiftly followed by Spodinger neot, which was about twice the size, about four [9 cm] in length. Its world was a dangerous one..."

It tried to hunt Spodinger mega, with success varying on if they were caught in the cloud of poison which follows Spodinger. This was a slow time in evolution for Niosans; it took 600 million years between minos and rex. By the time Spodinger rex evolved, Mapajun junior had evolved into a new species--Mapajun pama."

Creature stage!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Now we have a new editor and stuff.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Two things to know about the Creature Editor:
1. Cell parts cannot be added after now! Last call!
2. Adding redundant parts doesn't help--1 flagellum is the same as 12 (specifically, giving Sneak 1).

We could add legs and feet, or we could, um, not. We have 70 DNA points, legs are 50. Oh, and if we want to be able to eat meat, we need to shell out for those jaws now.
