[So, who thinks I'll die horribly to trying to covenant with two different deities? I got my bet on a "maybe." Either way, it will be a learning experience for everyone. If I survive though, it does make me wonder if its possible to covenant with all of the deities, and if so what would a maxed covenant with every deity type character look like? I can only imagine horror, horrible horrible horror. For the Other.]
Or maybe your soul will be ripped in twain. Which could be good or bad, depending.

And I just had a funny thought. We all gain knowledge and magical weapons and stuff, we kill all the sealers, we confront the Other, we all cast our most powerful runes and spells and we all fail to kill the Other. And suddenly, when all seems lost, kisame walks in and beats him to death with his staff. The only way this could become funnier would be if instead of a wood staff he had a flesh staff.
By the way, what is this Other? I think it showed up when I was propped up against a wall.

Continue to harry the retreating mercenaries, focusing on those already wounded, in hopes of downing a few more.

Once this is completed, loot the bodies and see what we have. Don't divide up the loot yet!

While I'm in the houses, look for other receptacles for water.

Search for the Canadian planet. It will be full of moose, and hockey, and maple syrup.
Or it will be made of Canadians.

Resolve the reproduction issue by making the gravel dragons not die when they reproduce.

Fonzor, not Fonzie...note to self, don't expect people to google strange names. Instead, link the first time!

Determine if my magic works by attempting to use Rock Armor.

Hm...there's that one guy who doesn't seem to be wearing much under his suspicious sweatshirt, and who wears a top hat? And what's with that one woman in fatigues, or that guy in the plastic shirt? You'd come up with ways for Kyle to be suspicious, but you aren't aware that they're here.
(I profiled myself...)
...You can't be too thorough?
Besides, it was kind of a silly action. Yeah, that's my explanation.

And what's the Soylent Green made from, anyway?
Um...think about it for a sec. What do you put into the machine to make it?

Nice try, but you won't trick me into walking over the bottomless pit. The fact is that a name is only as good as its consistency, and if you include everything that has ever been referred to as a dragon(This would likely include a few abstract concepts and methodologies) then the word doesn't really mean anything at all. We have basically seen the equivalent of a shark, tuna, squid, and whale. There is no real reason to believe that they are particularly closely related, and none of them show the least signs of being any more draconic than an average lizard.
Putting aside how tunas and whales actually aren't that distantly related, and how squids look nothing like the others, there actually are morphological traits linking the Brown Tusked and Green Ridgebacked drakes.
And while we're at it, how about I point out the number of animals grouped together under one name despite being a nonmonophyletic group, or even being paraphyletic?

Proposal:

Hats are now known as Fluffy Wambledrakes.
That's just silly and it seems to be strawmanning my position.

I think we need to develop some god damned eyes!
No we don't. Eyes are pretty useless in murky water, and rather hard to develop anyway.
We need eyes eventually though.
Why?
Eyes are only "dominant" because those clades that are unusually good at adapting happened to have eyes as an ancestral characteristic. If the ancestral chordates had electricity-sensitive rather than light-sensitive cells, we would be arguing over electric sense vs. that crazy light-sense. Also, as noted, many creatures lost their eyes, so clearly they aren't all that important...especially if we have a variety of other senses that can be used in their stead.
And look at our creature. Its closest parallels are cephalopods and cnidarians, two clades which have not ever had a terrestrial member. What makes you think we're going on land any time soon?

Chilled icecream did exist, actually. It was however more of an Easter/arabian thing.
So did firearms and pyramids.

Ooh...

Can't wait for the next bit! And that game sounds fun.

I always thought of dragons as typically possessing more than one of the following qualities: Flight, Fire breath, Wings on a quadruped, Intellectual but uncivilised, Reptilian features, Large enough to make human comparisons inappropriate, And opposed to human civilisation. Most of our drakes would be pushing it to make two and those would be the dull 'reptillian and liable to eat someone if it gets a chance' category...
Well, you're obviously none too well-versed in dragon lore.
Take ampitheres. Flying, sure, but no fire, no legs, not always intelligent but often civilized when they are, avian, not particularly giant, and not particularly opposed to humans. Or how about the dragonet, which is small and flightless, and in fact only has the "winged quadruped" and maybe the "reptilian" one? Heck, Eastern dragons are civilized, wingless, apyric, have more piscine or mammalian characteristics than reptilian, aren't usually huge, and get along with or are aloof to human civilization. Your definition is specific to a few dragons.
And that's not even getting into modern-fictional dragons. For instance: Check here. Notice how each medium has its own trope page. There's a lot of different kinds of dragons out there.

She met his corpse
Well, we'll just need to win her over with our excellent personalities.
Ciro and Rilitia, that is. Bay12 sucks.

Mostly, my objections for immediately continuing our quest for the Ruby boil down to the fact that our two best meatshields tanks just fell in a pit, leaving squishy us with squishy Slog to do any fighting. And so far, the vast majority of new rooms have involved some level of combat.
And Slog sucks at combat.
I knew he wouldn't be worth much from the moment I saw we could buy him with a cookie.

I wish we still had our ladder, though.
Where'd it go, anyway?

Hm...become a female-sounding, violet, yellow-eyed creature? Perhaps some kind of bird?
