Roll To Dodge / Re: Arena Deus! (Game II - Round 11: Deus)
« on: May 06, 2013, 07:24:19 pm »
Xantalos, who do you think will win? I'm thinking that, while you have the upper hand due to the bonus to melee rolls, if I manage to get a hit in I'm breaking something, which could cause things to go rapidly down hill in my favor. But that all depends on if a hit gets in, it would take a few rounds of fighting for a winner to be brought out anyway.
Obviously, Chell will win.

I also can't wait to see what becomes of the Aether Spokesman. Maybe it will destroy the whole world!

...Aw carp, I gave the GM an idea. Just wait...
[6+3] Run.

Gain Force Powers
Go kill someone

...Screw it. Full minimalism.
[6] You kasplode from the Force Power! This kills someone! Respawn?

Attempt to put Cthulu's ghost on trial and recruit it
[6] You do so. Cthulhu's ghost takes over your position. You are demoted to grunt trooping and get sent into battle for some reason or another.

Open the door of the metal shack.
[3-3] You get stuck in the closed door. You pause to wonder how this happened, and suddenly fall in half. You hear something going crunch crunch crunch inside.

Become the devils attorney.
[1] You promptly get punched by the Devil. He sues you over it and wins. He judges you unworthy to be even his attorney's assistant's assistant secretary.

EAT CTHULHU
[2v2+2] This fails. Respawn?

Use anomaly.
[5] The anomaly turns out to be of great value as a verdant mineral!

Quote from: Great Cthulhu
Le'jfams dekjv'ekan and ls;ao mal'bad
[5] Alright, set in motion.

Open the door of the metal shack.
Aid action.
As a ninja, I'm giving you a separate action so I don't have to rewrite the turn. [1-3] You somehow kill yourself. Respawn?

Spoiler: Donzor (click to show/hide)

That's hilarious.

And yeah, I can't help but wonder what I'd do if I was weaving this complex, interconnecting world for my players to explore and discover the hidden plots when suddenly BAM! Giant murderous dragon on the loose!

((The Mocker is Lars!))

Look in the abandoned houses for sharp implements, then. "It's not stealing if I'm helping them and put them right back afterwards."

"It's easy. Paper covers rock, rock smashes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors cuts paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, rock crushes scissors, scissors decapitate lizard, and lizard eats paper. Rock is a fist, like this; paper is a flat hand, like this; scissors is two fingers, like this; Spock is two fingers, like this; and lizard is holding your hand like this. Decide which one you want to be, then we go 1-2-3 and both put our hands out with the symbol for the thing we wanted to be. Whichever one of us has the winning thing, wins. Do you understand?"

If she understands, play RPSLS as the Lizard.

((The movie should be something sci-fi and sorta silly, like ER is. Spaceballs, mayhaps?))

NOO! RETROACTIVELY MAKE MY LAST ROLL A 5 & TAKE CONTROL OF HER! FOR GREAT JUSTICE!
(3) YOU'RE BACK, IN HER TOENAIL.
 LEADERBOARD:
CASSANDRA
GWG
MISKO
GAH! FINALLY WIN THE EPIC STRUGGLE OF GETTING A 5 AND BECOMING CASSANDRA!
Being in someone's toenail doesn't let you share their achievements.

Travel back in time two minutes, continue following trail for one minute. Repeat until I find her.

30759
I don't remember that. Maybe it happened at the same time I got propped against a wall somehow.

Man, how do I have a -3 to seeing things?  :P
The things are pretty far away in an urban environment...

Yes. Forgot to mention it, in part because I figured you'd act like you had them anyways. Guess it's good to mention.

((Also, it looks like the move to the apartment would have been rolled as running. don't I get +1 to that?))
Ah, right. You're not tired.

When a new player can join, I will.
Hm... I could either have this guy replace an NPC, or have you wait until someone dies.

Don't engage the skeletons. Not now, at least. Try to get to work on that food thing. Make no sudden movements...

I suspect that turning Slog into some other slime will be difficult. Let's look at the one time we have: We needed to use a semi-rare consumable (a Fire Shroom from a specific arena fight,  which wasn't gained automatically and needed time taken out of the fight to get IIRC) to temporarily turn Slog into a (powerful) type of slime. Assuming for the sake of argument that the power of the slime and the temporaryness of the transformation balance each other out, turning Slog into some other kind of slime permanently would probably require a somewhat rare and/or hard-to-get item as well.

We should also greet the traders and ask the name of their fine beast.
If you guys want to do this I'll do the naming instead of you.
I'd like to suggest calling it the Brown Stonefaced Drake.
(The Brown Tusked Drake's name doesn't seem to be in the informative post, now that I look there. Could you fix that?)

I'm tempted to buy the trader's clothes just because...but I'd rather buy useful stuff. Like the nuts.
Can we plant the nuts? If so, buy as many of them as we can.

Which is kinda sad, because A. this was a fun game and B. the arguments were fun, too.

We don't even have a mint, how could we pay him in coins with our faces on them?
