That being said: Does anyone know a way that I can just give y'all the document without you folks being able to edit it? I feel it'd be easier on me to just edit it as needed and you can check it as you wish.Google Docs? You are able to set it so others can see and not edit it. (You can also edit it so that no one else can even see it, but that's counterproductive, to say the least.)

Ciro has a Sniper Rifle. Riltia has a bonus to guard checks. Al has a power that boosts resistance. Seriously, just have Al cast bulwark on Riltia, and have her stand in front of the party while Ciro snipes the two further ones! Have Slog look deep within himself to discover the Heal spell slimes can sometimes learn!Longer-term plan. For now, everyone with ranged attacks, attack rangedly!

Yes, it should be most entertaining to keep the sane one alive as the whole village perishes around them.Not only entertaining, but it makes the villager a prime suspect for the ghoulish weirdness...especially if we play this right.
Porting a system to something it was never designed for is a quite hard thing to do. Better start from scratch. Or use simple systems that are made to be adoptableWhen you strip the d20 system to its bare bones, as I suggest, there isn't anything about magic to it. Just rolling to hit, skills, hit points and dice, maybe levels, etc. Maybe not even all that much.
