Quigley is neither a biker nor violent!
DO NOT RESIST THE LAW, CRIMINAL SCUM.
He's neither scum not a criminal, as well!

Talk to dwarf about himself.

"Hello, dwarf. What are you?"
"Name's Tech. I'm the mechanic, technician, outrider, and shortest member of this team. And you?"

(I meant in the character-sheets in the second post.)

OOC: Ok, Cheesecake, you need to show me how you do that. Right. Now
Simple, have a 6 in Showmanship.

Say, "Sowwy big man, dat is just the way I think. If you don't like it, I'll go away now."
"Sowwy, beeg man, dot is jost de vay I tink. Eev you don' like eet, I'll go avay now."
"Well, if you're adamant in your discrimination against those shorter than you, then leave. Just remember: I will be facing you tomorrow..."

Approach the knife guy, and ask him what his position is.
"Hey. What's your position?"
"I'm the Banger."

His response was brisk and curt. "No, sir." He watched the kid, the sir sounding more disdainful and spiteful than respectful. "Why should I know him?"
"No, siir. Why should I know him?"
"I dunno, cuz he's on yo' team?"

I touch my glasses "I'm ze medic."
"I 'zee'...so, anything else you wanted to chat about or are you just scouting out the opposition a little?"

This guy speaks a lot and I don't understand much. He reminds me of when Flash talks to us. thought Alan as he struggled to understand the difference between ronin and ninja.

"Oh. OK then. Ronin. That sounds like fun. I think you brawl because it's fun. I brawl because it's fun too. I like to play with my friends here. And I like that I can smash things. That's why they call me "smash". Some people say it's because I'm usually smashed, but I don't get that. I try to not get smashed by others because it hurts. So, how do they call you?" ((Whew, trying to write speech using small simple words is harder then I thought.))

Could everyone check to make sure I put your username at the end of your character sheet, please? It helps me figure out who's who, and I forgot it on some.
(Parisbre56) in Alan "Smash" Gazeer please.
Thanks.

"Well, why exactly do so many gangs want you guys gone?" Mouse asks, quickly tacking on: "I mean, I get we're trying to settle some feud or whatever, but we've got nothing against you ourselves. You seem like a half-decent set of guys, ya know?"
He shrugs. "We're taking their 'turf,' I suppose. I certainly can't imagine what their complaints would be otherwise; we've thoroughly engaged in what I can determine is the local system of honor."

Hey, Grate's a child!))

Spears can also be stabbed with.

There's no Game Police that will break down your door and confiscate your computer and dice if you borrow elements from established systems, so why not do so?
Shit, then who were the people who just broke down my door and confiscated my computer and dice?!
Burglars?

31102
...
That's not exactly kosher.

31103
No, we don't need to guard the next turn. We attack before them. If Riltia or Al jump down to the lower level, AFTER we shoot, then the Met WILL more than likely die before it gets to attack. We might as well do the swapping, and try to regain HP this turn, as they won't be attacking.
Forgot the turn order bit.
Still, are you willing to bet that we can kill the Met in one turn? Megaman did, sure, but are we operating on the same rules?

And is there anything stopping us from inventory-swapping AND shooting in one turn?

Quote
Is it just me, or does near NOBODY else understand the Mets' attack pattern?
"Attack a turn, guard a turn"?

The Link system sounds neat. I just need a game to link up with it.
...Maybe A Beginner's Guide could be a prequel of sorts?
...To The End of the Universe???
No, just A Beginner's Guide.
Advertisement achieved!

Would it really matter what we did though? We'd be in position to attack next turn either way, and its not like we're expending resources from attacking. We can just attack again next round, not like its going to attack this round so no need to guard and do nothing.
EXACTLY.

Why not just build regular altars through the mine and immerse them in bacterial cultures for a constant green glow as the untold millions of lives are tributed to death?
that's... that's... GENIUS!
Assuming it works, of course.
Let's hope it does!

Anyways, Orebaron is going to continue to be useful. There's a lot of minerals under this mountain and a lot of mountains around this mountain. An item sounds nice, but we can make one separately whereas we can't get Orebaron separately. And look at the proposed workaround--"Dig random tunnels." Not only does this waste time and labor, it risks caveins. You don't cause massive potential seismic issues where you sleep.

Well, one thing that comes to mind is from an episode of The Simpsons...

"I want you to re-invent the wheel. No, de-invent it--no, reunvent the whool."

Remember that this enterprise was a failure.

There's no Game Police that will break down your door and confiscate your computer and dice if you borrow elements from established systems, so why not do so? Use whatever gamebooks you have lying around the house as a basis. If you've got GURPS sitting around, have skill rolls determines by rolling low on 3d6. If you've got 2nd-edition Shadowrun, have skills give you a number of dice to roll to hit a Target Number. If you have the D&D basic set, use the d20 system. They were simple enough to sell, they're simple enough for us.

But remember this: It's not the system that brings in players, it's the game. Don't sweat the small stuff; as long as the system isn't horribly broken, it's fine.

(I claim black! With glows for various personae!)

Herold Onehand, a fairly short man missing his right hand and with a curving scar over his right eye, entered the inn. He had heard that some adventurers were going to be gathering here today, and intended to hire out a mercenary to them. He sat down at the bar, ordered stew and ale (the latter more for politeness than a desire to get drunk), and looked at the other patrons...a few looked like they'd be a good bunch. For now, we wait.

That doesn't mean it won't feel a bit off when we test gonnes on our enemies' knights.

Well, glad to know that the things can do a powered descent.
For when falling is too slow?
Actually, that is a feasible scenario. The helium is captured and compressed rather than vented, and that proces can take time. (Venting is possible, but helium is rather hard to get)
Ah, right, lighter-than-air craft.

Explain that such hostility is entirely unwarranted and, moreover, quite unfair to you. I mean, they're all doing something presumably important, and you're getting excluded from all of it. You, who is mostly their equal in power and probably entitled to at least some information on what's happening. Dammit, you wouldn't behave this way if they didn't act so dismissively toward you! How are you supposed to avoid snooping if everybody tries to keep you in the dark? Literally, one might say.

I mean, sure, you may have done something they do not entirely like, but who's to say that you don't have any interesting ideas and cannot contribute absolutely anything to a creative process? Your differences with the rest are to be appreciated, as conflicting beliefs breed refinement of ideas and a more complete perspective on what's happening. Not to mention that having seven entities rather than six makes voting much more efficient and eliminates any possibility of a tie!

So yeah, the other entities should totally at least let you participate in these things, if not decide anything important until you have proven yourself to be a valued member of the team.
