If the atmosphere is so thin then it might just be proximity to the star that's a problem. Which means that it'll get cold at night.
There's a reason I'm asking. It's all conjecture.
And it's wrong.

-----

307 Kelvin is pretty high; it's about 5-6 degrees Farenheight short of human body temperature. We could probably go ectotherm. Less heat problems, and lowered metabolic requirements. So...let's go with that, shall we?

31307
We can't do that.

Crawl backwards! CRAWL BACKWARDS!

31308
There's more deerples in the woods.

31309
...That comment suddenly makes more sense.

I'm sad.

Is there a skill or ability modifier for healing? Medicine, got it. Can I swap one of my three in parkour and six in unarmed for two medicine? On a totally unrelated note, is a roll of bandages something I'd need noted in my gear? I believe the OP said anything you're bringing into the arena.
You only need to spare a couple skill points for the 2 in Medicine. Just decide where it's coming from and you're changed.

It's not standard, so if you're bringing it mention it.

Fly/slither away from here to the woods nearby.

Perform ritual.

[1-2] You manage to get stuck. Okay, that really kinda sucks. [5-2] You crawl forward, towards a crack in the rubble. Once light falls on you, you feel better; absorbing it some feels great!

[1+2,7+1,2] No mutations, though.

You slither for the woods and perform a ritual. You get a sudden, vague image of the surrounding area lit up with a bunch of points of light.

Where am I?

You are in a pile of rubble, it seems. A bit with some breathing room, but not much else.

[6,3,4] You sprout a scorpionish tail and feel a little light-headed.

Rick investigates his the weird changes in his body. "I don't rightly know myself little buddy, I'm thinkin' this fella needs mah help for somthin'. You alright in thar?" He responded to the worm, before turning towards the giant snake and statue. "Well, uh, thank'ye kindly there pal, and I'd be more than happy tah help yah out. What would I be 'elping you with though?"

”I suppose...” You turn towards the place where you saw the statue and snake, but they’ve firmly vanished. You hear the voice.

Go down the road, and quickly! Oh, he’s getting better. Don’t exhaust yourself.

[6,4,6] You kinda blink; the world seems brighter. This is substantiated by a glowing segment of your lower body.

-----

-amusing conversation again snipped-

Both:  Dig out of the rubble with new Super Strength!

(You’ve already had super strength, we’ve just both forgotten it.)

[4+3+1] Soon enough, there isn’t rubble around you. Still rubble above you, though. [3,1] Logic manages to slip out, except a leg, but Passion is trapped.

Again.

[6,3;3,3] Logic feels something.

((Woot. Now I can walk up to stores and teleport their inventories onto the nearest person's head!))

Are you sure it works like that?

Keep driving and looking for a bank.

[4-1] You see a town. Maybe there’s a bank there? Better get off at the exit.

"Yes? You were saying? What am I wanted for questioning about, anyway?"

Ask, then make eye contact again.

“You’re wanted in part for your connection to a series of kidnappings and murders over the past month and in part for connection to more recent offenses, such a--” The cop is interrupted by turning to stone. The others, catching on, close their eyes and start shooting. They’ve evidently decided to count “turning officers to stone” as “lethal force” and are responding in kind.

[6-2v4;6-2v3] Several bullets from the exceptionally lucky cops hit you. About half graze you, but the rest strike more-or-less on-target. You’re suffering from acute lead poisoning, not a healthy condition.

Get treatment.

You plead with the EMTs to do their jobs. They’re a bit insulted by your implication that they wouldn’t.

[1] No mutations.

buy beer, get drunk, mutate

[6] You find a bar to buy beer at.

“I’ve got a lot of money and want to blow it all on booze!” A big guy behind you decides to give you a blunt lesson on prudence, with his fist.

[6v1] You get punched firmly in the head; the guy shouts in pain. [5-1+2] You feel okay, though. You must have had too much alcohol before.

[1] No mutations.

Mr. Normal continues to observe, remaining undetected.

Hm. The guy seems to be talking to himself.

[3] You vomit a bit. Useful mutation, no?

NPC Actions:

The EMTs carry wounded people to the ambulance and start driving for the hospital.

Do I still need to update my character, GWG?
Not unless you want to turn back into a dwarf.

Oops. I hope this works.
Dorbaelo plu-shastaron the diamond encasing.
This turns it into blood right?
If you screw up, there'll probably be blood, so it all works out.

Doesn't mean that they're extant. Note the "supposed".
And, remember, this is IC. The Sky Lords' copy of your game application must have been lost in the mail.

The temperature is 25% higher than normal, water is extremely scarce, grasses are relatively abundant, although they are not edible for humans. The air is only half the oxygen content that it needs to be for humans. Gravity is 2.11G and air pressure is 75% of what humans require
Ah, here we go! Right up my alley!
Mine as well.

Quote
Temperature... I would replace the hair on the head with feathers, possibly silver. A thick coat of feathers is much better at losing/gaining heat than a similar fur coat, so it'd stop overheating of the head. Long fingers could also help increase the surface area, as fanning with a larger hand would also help with the hand losing heat.
For the head, why not just go bald?
Overall...maybe go ectotherm?

Quote
Water... Uric acid instead of urea. The genitals would need to be modified to be able to do this, but we'd save a lot of water. Better panting ability and wilful sweating might be of use, too.
I'd advise altering the kidneys...but yeah, uric acid.
Or suggest retaining the life-support systems from the spaceship. Or both.

Quote
Oxygen... Larger lungs are an obvious choice. Perhaps increase the amount of mitochondria, so it's got more efficiency. An avian lung would vastly improve breathing.
I'd advise avian lungs and such.

Quote
Shorter, stouter limbs are a must. Improving shock-absorbing would help, and hollow bones (which could fit into the avian lung system) would also reduce weight-to-volume.

Air pressure... Well, better breathing helps with that. Other than breathing problems, low air pressure doesn't affect humans much, it's just moving between the states that's the problem.
Indeed. Although, as noted, hollow bones might not be a great idea--thicker ones might be better, then reduce weight in other ways.

We should look into why the grass isn't edible. If it's simply an issue of digestion, we should look to improve our creations ability to digest roughage. Possibly by strengthening the appendix and stomach systems. We should look to cows for inspiration.
Aye, cattle.

I'd also suggest looking at the fat layers, specifically reducing them. That reduces the amount of heat retained and weight. Efficient. It would lead to issues with energy storage, but that shouldn't be much of an issue in modern times...or future ones.

Most of these solutions are either relatively simple or can be taken from an average bird. Should be a relatively easy job, since we have plenty of resources.
I hope so...although I doubt it's that simple.

"I have a few questions. Firstly, how consistent is the temperature? Do you have crops? Why are the native plants indigestible? Is there any reason you can't use the life support systems like spacecraft do to deal with water? Can I do side projects? How will the end results go--replacement or modification? When do I start? Do you mind that my few questions multiplied?"

What would prove the Great Plan to you? We can't reveal all that Swizerland can, for risk of jeapordizing the Great Plan. In a few years the Great Plan will, if there are no delays, be complete. We don't know how we might use nukes, which is why we wish to keep them. Later we might find we needed those weapons.
"I'm sorry. This plan is so already-planned that someone finding out details will doom it all, but so unplanned that you're not sure if you need nukes? And as for proof, some explanation of a nonvital bit would be a good start."

It protects humanity against outside threats. After the Great Plan, the body snatchers and Watchers won't be able to get to us.
"The WHAT?"

The nuclear devices aren't for blowing things up. We don't know what they might be used for. In any case, we have only nuclear warheads, so we would not violate the proposed reasonable deterrance.
"Forgive me, but if you don't have missiles, what good would they be for deterrence? 'If you nuke us, we'll detonate these warheads in our own cities and rob you of the pleasure!'?"

My main reasoning was this:
We know that Ciro is in a cycle, yes? Ciro does stuff and dies, is reborn, so on and so on. And has been doing this for a long, long, long time. Except there was more pods, but they're mysteriously gone. Well, what I was thinking is that leaving the dungeon would be breaking the cycle, which would be rather bad, so the cycle is trying to force us back into the dungeon. At least, that's what I was thinking, that the Cycle wouldn't be so easily broke.
My reasoning is this:
We already did an arena battle, no? And we didn't bleed then, did we? (Injuries from Goombas don't count.)

-see above-
Perhaps being in such close contact with a 'foreign' object(something not native to the Arena or Dungeon) like Megaman* is causing it as well? I wonder what would happen if he brought us out of the dungeon with him or vice versa... Anyone up for bringing this guy home with us to see what will happen to him?
*I think that is the name
That is his name.
I'm not sure if Megaman is nonnative to the Arena, and even if he isn't, why aren't the others experiencing the same effects? For that matter, why isn't Megaman?
But I'd like to see if he could come back. Maybe everyone grab hold of him right after we kill the last Met?

The REAL noteworthy thing there is Cherish now has a ? picture.
What, not that she seems to have advanced in her healing abilities?

Or that "Oric"'s title is "????????"? Which, unless it's a typo, is an extra ?, and therefore can't just be "Awesome". Oric doesn't seem the type to append his title with a '!', so it's probably not Oric...who may not be as important as we'd thought.

Sure. Maybe we should play a member of the Celestial or Infernal army this time? To round out our initial chapters.

Head on in. You have Wizard Work to do!
Also tap the warrior's armor so that we can have stoneflesh armor. Or at least tap the helm for a helm.

Remember: Commit gendercide and the survivors can't make more.

That said, killing all but one male won't affect reproductive capacity nearly as much as killing a quarter of the females. So we might consider hunting that one male.
