Also, about the guard general, after our minions get information about his agenda and relatives, we should whisper in his mind while he sleeps, to try to convince him to join our cause, but with subtletly, so it can't horribly backfire if it fails.
He would serve us better as an ally than as a body we can control, it's difficult to pretend to be someone else, even if we are in his body.
Agreed...but possession is a decent backup.

Also, Ebbor, could you please put a link for the IC thread into the OP here, and one for the OOC thread inside the IC thread's OP. And could we get a map update with this turn once it's done?
Yup, I'll do it soon.
As for the map. Trying too. However, my original plan of doing it gradually isn't working. Map changes too fast.
Which sucks.
Have you considered dividing the world map into a ton of little "territories," putting it into Paint or something, and then coloring the territories according to the country that controls them?

"Agreed. The devil is always in the details. What are we talking about--anyone who attacks another gets attacked by everyone else to attack them and gets kicked out of our club, probably in the other order? Stern rebuke for war? What?"

((Whack them in the head, whack them in the head!
Originally, I was writing the above for Shashari but I just realized that a good headwhacking to the right people or objects can solve the problems all of the prophets are having.
And headwhacking+fire can solve all of the problems the prophets are having in an amazing way.))
((How does headwhacking solve wells being stuck? No, seriously, tell me.))

((Just to make sure, it's only the runes that use up my pool, right? Circles don't?))
2.Costs and Cooperation:
Unlike words which are always instant and always cost 1 point, circles can cost many points and take several turns to make. However, these costs, both in time and points, can be lowered substantially by cooperating with another player. If 2 people work together the circle is completed twice as fast and each person need only pay half the point cost. If three people work together it goes three times as fast, is split 3 ways, etc. This means that a few people working together can do a hell of a lot more with runes and circles then they could do individually with words.
((And that is why it's good to work with a team if you're doing runes. Team Bismuth does rune science. Join team Bismuth!|!htumsiB meat noiJ))
((Aether has more knowledge and more members. We're also cooler. We're Ęther, a magical substance; you're Bismuth, a component of bismuth bronze. Oh, yeah, and you get to bump virtual shoulders with such notable characters as myself and dermonster. Who does Bismuth have? Parisbre?))

I'd like to point out that, since the demons are not in Hell and presumably aren't allowed in Heaven, by the process of elimination they are on Earth.

Confirm that the above is true.

Begin reforms. Keep things the same for people who actually deserve to be there--murderers, rapists, dictators, televangelists*, stuff like that.

*Not serious¤.
¤Probably.

I probably sent it to everyone on Team Aether and not the GM. Typical, I guess...

Alright, NOW do that circley runey goodness.

31644
Yes, but that doesn't make you saying that you're happy about the relative power of ranged weapons mean much, now does it?

Anyways, can we waitlist characters for the next round?

We think something like this is a good idea.

True enough. Supplies are a problem, and AFAIK there's nothing like plump helmets they can grow :P
Nope. MAYBE mundane mushrooms, but you'd really be better off with cannibalism in a pinch.

Why does everyone want me dead?

You're genocidal towards dragons, which earns you their hate and harms the efforts of more peaceful humans?

The same people that messed up the intrigue to capture the wool merchant are up to their old accustomed gaucherie once again. Why am I not surprised?
Ad hominem and not entirely correct.

Bloody fucking brilliant. He's safer in the second most noteable city in the county, right at our side, the target's main rival, than he;d be in the countryside at the manor of a small-time knight. You honestly couldn't write this stuff into a farce about the world's worst intrigue and have it be believed.
We can keep an eye on him and adapt to changing circumstances. I've repeated that over and over yet you always ignore it. You also seem to be assuming that I think that failure is inevitable, though, even though I never said or implied that, so I suppose that you completely ignoring one of my arguments isn't surprising.

I go with Urist's suggestion. Attack now. Mount up, lads. We bloody well ride to Curbiston at dawn.

Do you want to get us killed?

A.) This can't be the first time a fight over who gets a noble title has happened, there have gotta be rules and somebody's gotta know them.
Case in point. The rules are... we get more people to back us by whatever arguments and bribes and alliances necessary, and then we win on the battlefield, or appear so overwhelming that it doesn't get that far. It's not a modern country. Your airtight law doesn't exist yet. there's no body of professional national police to enforce it impartially, even if it did exist. Welcome to feudalism, enjoy your stay.
Feudalism is not anarchy. Stop saying it is. The rules do matter. They may not be absolute, but if nothing else they'll get people on our side.

We could have had a turn this morning my time, or last evening for you westerners, but it wasn't to be that simple, was it? Instead you have to override the key priorities in my plan, which you clearly didn't understand to begin with.
And you clearly didn't understand MY plan, seeing as how you kept misprepresenting it.
Besides, there's many other possible reasons why there isn't a turn yet. The GM isn't a machine.

We're far better doing this bluntly with rapid action than relying on subtlety that most aren't appreciating, anyway. I continue to advocate a switch away from intrigue that most aren't coherently understanding. The first principle of intrigue is don't get caught with the bag in your hands. Doesn't matter if you think you can protect the bag better when it's in your hands. Don't get caught with the bag. Period. And as for Truean suddenly piping up about taking this too fast when it's already set in motion, that's just the bloody icing on the cake. Bravo to that sense of timing.
Regardless, cart after horse, Gerv. Rumors THEN claim. I don't care that much about the timing as long as the people are comfortable with the possibility of another claimant and a bit doubtful of Owen's right and ability before that.

This thread still has the same people I've always disagreed with since page 90. GWG, Truean, and that like. It has few of the people that I used to enjoy reading like Tryrar and Gotdamn. The democratic nature of the suggestion format has pivoted toward people who really are not my cup of tea.
So enjoy all the cool ideas I left for you to play around with. The art festival, the wool trade, the bastard himself that I thought to seek out. Enjoy the heraldry graphic. Crabnumber is right, obviously I bring nothing to this thread, so I'll leave it to the rest of you. Democracy is so awesome, especially when all the fun posters left weeks ago.
There you go misrepresenting our posts again. HE NEVER SAID THAT. He merely said that our suggestions have value, too. You did NOT suggest EVERYTHING of value save that mentioned by Tryrat and Gotdamn. We also contributed. Get off your high horse.

Right, well, moving on from that.
I say we keep the fact that we have a contestant to Owens claim a secret, and we send out feelers in order to ascertain whom we can expect to back us if we do attempt to install him as the count.  Also, ask the steward about how one goes about contesting a claim such as Owens.  Let's stay away from military action for the time being, as we don't want to be considered rebellious, which would get a much larger army bearing down on us.
I can't argue with any of this...but I think just about everyone agrees as well.

As well as I can be having just discovered that half of the corpse of my great-great-great-granddaughter is being used as the mascot for a terrorist group. Do you have any such groups in your domain?
