How is it better at that than anything else?
Why is this the most important thing?
Mental poison: Makes your poison inflict mental damage, and causes fear. This carries over to your solid form.
Fear is something important, it can make our foes flee if we aren't powerful enough to dispatch them. Also, when we take over a body, we have to fight, and this poison will cause a debuff, which can greatly increase our chances of survival.
1. This only applies to our poison.
2. Foes can also be dispatched by minions, which we could increase the number of with the Mark...especially if, as I suspect, there are upgraded versions with better buffs.
1. We can choose both the Mark (ability) and the Mental poison (perk).
2. Empowering presence (the perk which empowers or allies), which helps our allies, sometimes only does so with willpower, which is kinda useless. Picking it to get an upgraded version would be a good investment, so, if you intend to pick it to upgrade it later, just remember to actually do so. I'm just against picking stuff that doesn't give us any relevant advantage.
1. Ah, my bad. Switching arguments.
2. It always helps our followers, and again, it can almost certainly be upgraded. Besides, having the occasional follower with enhanced strength would be more useful than making the rare person we bite be afraid.

As I said, if you intend to upgrade ir later, it's ok.
Depends on what it's competing against, but aye.

((Nooo!!! TV Tropes, of which I already had two tabs open!! Curse you, GWG!! :P
In all seriousness, though; how many members does each team have, out of curiosity? Words and rune counts are irrelevant))
((Aether has at least three, Bismuth has at least two.))

Wonder why someone who's been trying to lay low and hide at least partially for several turns was found so easily.

Also wonder if my shield's blocking bonus ever came up.

EDIT: Basically, unless the GM specifically tells me to post the decoded version in the post, then you'll just have to figure out the clues I left you, as if you were actually trying to, you know, read the thing. No OOC knowledge of crap you shouldn't know for you.
Then why do you get OOC knowledge of what everyone else is doing?
Either everyone encodes it or no one does; that's my suggestion.

You know GWG we could make a deal.
Which are you and what do you have in mind?

Really, (as in I didn't know that) can you give an example of a denomination?
I remember either my pastor or one of my elementary school teachers or something, possibly all of them, referring to Christians as Children of God. There's no denomination called the Children of God or anything...as far as I know, at least.

Use cooks and Light-Heat thing to finish off the soup.
[2-1] You sweep the beam across the room, causing glare off a shiny pot to blind you for a turn or so. “Argh!”
[6+1,5,4,3] Wow. You quadruple in size (forcing you to the ground) and you feel a chill. A cook splashes you with water, which burns and causes you to recoil! The burns don’t leave a mark--it seems to basically be supernatural hydrophobia.

Grab a respirator, then fly out the window and into the city. Are there any nearby villains?
You don’t see a respirator in the van, nor a window, not a way to fly.
The van pulls to a stop, then starts turning and backing up.
[2] And no new mutations come along to let you respirate, fenestrate, or aviate.

Ask for bandage. And haemophilia medication.
Heal shin.

“Hey, can I have a bandage and some haemophilia medication?”
[1] (Oh gods why do you guys suck at these kinds of rolls.) “Why would you want those? See, you’re O.K. Look, I’ll cut you to prove my point.” A slight gash on your arm turns into a bleeding river. You feel a bit light-headed.
[2+1,7+1] A fin grows out of your back and another on your tail.

Rick continues trying to get to shore with his new body with the aid of his water powers. "Is there any thang I can do to help you, little buddy? You done helped me out a lot with that thar cage, and I'm aimin' to return the favor."
”Having a tribe would be nice. Maybe you could recruit one?
[2+1] You’re almost to shore now.
[3] You don’t change any further. Although by this point, it’s kinda hard for you to get weirder.

-----

Do nothing! Let mutation happen naturally.
[5] It sure does. You feel supernaturally strong...oh wait, you’re inanimate. Wow, the dice are just taunting you now.

Get out of the creek, follow it to something interesting.
[1] You find yourself at a police station in a tiny town where you murdered someone and their police station has a creek flowing by it. They recognize you! Yes, despite glowing.
[6] Your new weakness comes into play: You have a sort of minor telepathy, causing every thought of every man, woman, and child, as well as their dogs, to whisper themselves indistinctly into your mind’s ear.

Respond to the question by punching the guy and driving off.
[3v5] FALCON PAWNCH REDUX! You miss. [4-1] Despite the “big” guy grabbing the highest part of you he could reach--just above your legs--you manage to slip into the vehicle. It’s quite cramped, but you can drive. [3] Except that the keys aren’t in the car. (Unless I said that they were earlier, in which case let me know.)
[4] You gain an almost useless ritual that requires touching someone!

CRAZY PUNCH EVERYONE! HAHAHAH!
[5v5-1] You punch the disoriented people, making them more so! Fun!
[3] Fun fun fun!

Does the cage go to the floor or ceiling?  Try to go out through the top/bottom weak point.
No, it’s like a dog cage, except much bigger.
[1] You manage to get your head stuck between two bars.
[4,5] You swing your arms about and feel a cell phone teleport into your hand. The dice have mercy on you as well, as when you tug your head backwards, you rip the bars enclosing your head out of their sockets...and wrenching your neck painfully. Use this power wisely...

-----

"May I see one syringe? Is very interesting, I must take look." Surreptitiously slip one of the syringes into jacket pocket. "Ah yes, is very good test then, all adequate and normal."
If sleight of hand doesn't work, whip out cell phone and start talking in unknown foreign language, occasionally interjecting English "Okay Suzie!" In other words, call superiors and ask for further instruction.
[2,4] “No, you cannot.” This doesn’t stop you from sneaking one off the shelves.
[7] You hear waves, neat.

Yawn. Go to sleep.
“Goodnight everyone.” You lie down and [5] enjoy a restful sleep.
[5] This is hard to convey when you’re asleep.

seek more booze and cookies
[2] “I DEMAND ALCIHOL AND COOKIE SNACKS!” “Um, no. Now tell me...how do you feel?”
[3] You feel normal. Well, normal as ever. ...Which is normal, of course.

... not with dragons.

lizards are territorial as crap.
I take offense to that.

Regardless, being world leaders means that the dragons have at least basic worldwide organization, something like the UN; and regardless, an uprising in Russia will have at least as much effect on the Golden Realm and other nations as some ocean-based raiders off the African coast had on the United States and other nations.

Also, how are we supposed to read ragnarok's action?
Short answer: You're not. :p
That's hardly fair. You can read everyone else's actions, why shouldn't they be able to read yours?

Since this seems the core of your argument, I'll hack at it.
Why do you think Owen will think we don't have friends we could send him to? If I was Owen, I'd consider the possibility that Stone sent his claimant, should he exist, somewhere else and wouldn't limit my search (or else I'd have an advisor who would do so).
My argument does have a core, at least. Yours does not. If you intend to argue that Owen will find him in Percival's manor, then you are surely planning on Owen finding him here in ours...
Wrong. I anticipate Owen looking for the claimant in Percival's land and ours. It would be easier to impede his attempts to find him if we were in the same place as Arthur, and if we had a good reason to turn away Owen's spies (as we would if we were in our town, due to suspicions of Owen planning to attack us).

Quote
That means you anticipate Owen knowing and rallying his supporters against us directly.
I never implied anything of the sort.

Quote
If we're clean, he has to keep looking, and he will have limited time and resources to do so. If we're dirty, the race stops there. Some of the potency of the unknown immediately evaporates, and we have the possibility of defnding against a direct assault, which is a blessedly boneheaded way of protecting Arthur, btw.
And what happens to Percival if he is found on his lands?
And what makes you so certain he would be found in Feroshire?

Quote
Quote
But why doesn't he need protection?
Because he won't be found.
I'm not confident of that. I'd be MUCH more confident if we were able to react to changing problems, legitimately turn away Owen's investigations, and such.

Quote
And if he is, we still stand in the way of his capture by geography alone.
So we're on an ithsmus now? There's ways to get to Percival's lands that don't involve going down our Main Street, and frankly city walls don't help unless they attack Feroshire.

Quote
You have already admitted that you expect Owen to find him in Feroshire,
I never said that.

Quote
so what I want to know now is how you plan to proceed with a delicate campaign of whispers and subterfuge after owen can shrug and pin it all on us,
If Arthur is found, that happens regardless. My point is that keeping Arthur in Feroshire makes it less likely and makes us more flexible.

Quote
and how you plan to prosecute the defense of Feroshire when Owen can openly rally his supporters against us while we are caught off-foot in a ludicrous mush of a plan where we're expecting to be discovered in the midst of a plan dependent on not being discovered.
I'm not sure what plan you're talking about so I can't respond.

Quote
Quote
No, I'm relying on keeping the reality of the claimant more secret, Feroshire's defenses, and so forth. And the fact that there's already suspicions that Owen will attack us, which gives us the ability to send back investigations into our land searching for the claimant much more justifiably than if we needed to keep the secret in someone else's lands.
Perception is reality. The perception that we're involved is dangerous, no matter how high our walls and impenetrable our security. I'd rather not have Arthur here and make of show of aiding the search here than remaining dark to his searches with or without Arthur inside our walls.
How can we destroy the perception if one of our close friends who has no particular reason to promote Arthur to the countship? Again, Owen isn't an idiot.

Quote
Quote
The simple issue is, Owen isn't the old Count; we can't assume he's a moron. If he's not, we can't assume he'll limit his search to Feroshire. If we stash him in Percival's land or somewhere, we can't keep an eye off him or justify sending the inevitable investigations away.
But you're assuming he will not find Arthur here,
STOP SAYING THAT. Please.

Quote
while for some reason easily finding him in a rural manor of no note.
Easily? No. More easily than in Feroshire? Probably.

Quote
Owen has no right to search for the claimant anyway. It's not an investigation.
Then how would he be found in Feroshire?

Quote
Even if we keep Arthur and we know that certain men are supporters of Owen asking around, what we would want to do then is welcome them openly and give them the entire town to search and hope Arthur stays hidden somehow. Perception that we might have him is the same as having him.
Two things.
1. In such an issue, we could respond by keeping Arthur moving, or even pretending to be a normal person. We can't do that if he's at Percival's.
2. How is any of that untrue if he's at Percival's, especially the bit about the idea we might have the claimant being as important as actually having it.

Quote
At the very least, we need a role less conspicuous than our second squire and a relationship less notable than cousin if he stays here and rubs shoulders with our people for two months. I regret suggesting either of those.
Agreed. But we should keep him here, not send him somewhere else.

Respawn as Sean Connery.
[3] You respawn as a James Bond cosplayer.

[2] Um...a man must walk down 42 roads?

Just search the base for anything useful.
[6] You find a missile. It might be useful, maybe even armed...only one way to find out! Respawn?
