This is the text displayed, aka the thing.

((Ah...is there some character list somewhere?))

32523
((Quick question: Who's playing May and Thomas?))

32524
Another thing to consider is varying from standardized or traditional combat techniques where it won't screw us over--he won't be expecting it.

Accidentally encounter Thomas and May. Being bored, set something of theirs on fire.
((Please don't mistake me for theirs...)

Well, I would actually not overly mind an MLP if you don't mind, say, reading Explosive Runs.
You should probably be aware that the Giant in the Playground forums, the home of the Order of the Stick webcomic, are also home to the largest array of ponythreads this side of Canterlot.com. Ponythreads I am likewise a part of. So of course I don't mind. ^_^
...Hm. Suppose I'm not missing much.

Ah. I'll keep this in mind...I'd edit my last post, but it was kinda lengthy and it would be an extra pain on my tablet.

Also, damnit GWG stop being right all the time!
I am SO sigging this.

I do pretty much agree with you, but I'm trying to play the 'other' intelligent and sensible head, meant almost to be your arrogant and douchey dark side(Auris, Goldie. Hmmmm...)). This means that I need to be correct sometimes, and that I need to disagree with you. I can't do that if you're consistently correct and well-informed!
I'm willing to admit to being wrong, but I typically avoid being wrong on purpose.
Maybe next time.

EDIT: Also Goldie seems highly unwilling to compromise. And is misunderstanding the point I was making, for a lot of it.
Well, what compromise is there between "Represent ourselves" and "Show up in person?"
And if I misunderstood something, please explain it even if you need to do it OOC!

Accidentally run into the people who I don't know who happen to be May and Thomas.

"Hi, Mister and Miss! How are you? Have I met you before? You look familiar, Miss. What are you doing? Why are you doing it? What's that? Who's that? Why does everyone look at me like that? Why are you looking like that?"

32530

Comfort the sick lady.

"Is there something you want, miss? Soup, a drink, candy? Ooh, I know, a book! That sounds like something you'd want! Bye, miss!"

Run out of the room and wander the corridors for a library until I find a distraction.

((And yes, I know she's only sick OOC, but still. Anyways...yay, escaping from the conversation with the lady who won't actually be doing stuff for a while!))

Remember: I'm not suggesting we ask for an actual position (though I probably wouldn't be opposed to such). I am suggesting we ask for the right to speak at their meetings.

"Firstly, any nation which equips its armies with multiple magical items is one which we do NOT want to mess with. Secondly, she wasn't just a scout; at minimum, she was an expert spy, evidenced by not only the magical armor but also by her training. Thirdly, while archers may be a bit of a threat, our scales should turn aside enough arrows for us to close the distance except in extreme circumstances. Thirdly, I doubt any head would be so stubborn as to not save the life of the whole. Fourthly, how would we get our necks jumbled? We're not nearly as clumsy as you seem to think. Fifthly, how will we make fewer enemies by speaking our mind rather than appointing someone to do so? I can just as easily see that doing the opposite, as our emissary twists our words to support his faction. Sixthly, how would we GET more allies with an emissary? Rather, we would NEED more allies. Seventhly, how would we KNOW if our emissary spoke other than what we said, and how would HE know if he spoke against our wishes WHEN something we don't think of comes up, or he forgets? Eighthly, why can we not speak in person? Ninethly, these are dwarves, who have patience. If anything, being able to contact us without actually meeting us will make them less reluctant to bother us with their petty problems. Tenthly, do you really think that the dwarves will NEVER do something which involves us? Eleventhly, have you considered the possibility of a sudden emergency which we could participate in discussions of if we were present but could merely receive orders for if not? Twelfthly, just WHAT do you think my position is?

I was trying to hit that 'notify' button at the bottom posts bottom right hand corner, next to 'reply' 'mark unread' 'send this topic' and 'print'.
Let me rephrase that.

WHY did you do that?

32535
We should definitely be getting involved in the politics. It makes us important and gives us a little power, but more importantly gives us a wider variety of things to do than "The dwarves have informed you of X. Go take care of it."
