((how the hell are we even having a conversation while she's charging us so technically we're in a middle of a fight?))
She's a fair distance off still...

"did we leave the others behind?"

To the hills
"I do believe so. Meh."

Head to the hills. If any hostiles are sighted, swing/drop the sword at 'em.

The world is three rings linked together, with glowing moons orbiting them to make night and day. Each ring is different:

Alfo is a rocky ring, with many mountains, rocky wastelands where it's flat, and shallow seas. The inhabitants are dwarves, who live in converted sea caves or mighty fortresses in groups not larger than one or two hundred, living on fish and seabirds.
Bita is a frigid ring, with terrain varying from glaciers to taiga to the occasional peak poking above the sheets of ice around it. Bita is inhabited by orcs, who are divided into the Farmer Tribes (who farm various types of shrubs and lichens) and the Hunter Tribes (who mainly subsist on hunting and raiding, with gathering on the side).
Celta is a lush ring, with high ocean levels, foggy lowlands, and jungles wherever the soil supports it. Its inhabitants are elves, who are unified under a single Ancient Queen and a High Council of Druids. The elves are sedentary and live mainly by magic and hunter/gathering.

Amongst the moons and distant stars lurk strange craft piloted by the gom, known in our tongue as the Nomads or gnomes. Gnomes are similar to insectile humanoids with two arms, two legs, and four tentacles in between. They have no central government or even many unifying cultural traits. Gnomes taught the secrets of making these craft to the other three races, allowing travel between the rings. This happened barely a decade ago; contact between the four races on a regular basis is still a new phenomenon.

using crazy weapons
Might not be too far-off...
Still no heretics or childhood recruitment or acidic saliva or anything.

I suggest a hammer or mace or something, a shield for when it's useful, and a crossbow for when IT is useful.

Oh, yay, PMs. Always nice to wake up to see you're a terrible person who 'ruins everyone's fun'. I've been sick, then swamped with schoolwork, and today's my birthday. Why don't one of you ladies write a nice action for me?
Happy birthday. I don't think you ruin everyone's fun.

Do you REALLY want us writing actions for you?

Let's make the darkness-feeding cow before making a darkness-and-light-feeding cow, m'kay?
I can back this, if it works.  I wonder, can we make them 'photosynthesize' darkness, or are we constrained by the laws of biology/physics in that regard?
We're modifying a creature that's already in its adult stage; we're obviously not too closely following them.
It would actually be possible, we'd just have to use a retrovirus to go in and edit the genetic code in a manner that doesn't kill the cells, and do it fast enough that the body doesn't attack them.  Maybe also temporarily compromise the immune system.
Genes aren't magic; we'd only be able to change the proteins the affected cells made. We wouldn't causue major changes in form or biochemistry, and no changes would occur for weeks or months. (Unless the subject died.)

Space Marines need more than size and heavy armor. When they start using crazy weapons and killing heretics, you may have a point, but we're not there yet.

As for lore, there's many possibilities, from magical blessings to giant heritage.

...How is Gerv GUNINANRUNIN?

Back to the present.

Wait for all our forces to be ready before attacking or showing ourselves or anything.

I think the shaman will know what's best for his pit ;) Just let him gather what he wants.
+1

Just tell him to gather appropriate materials.
But not from our citizens, our guests, our domestic animals, or anything with a good chance of eviscerating or trampling the gatherer if the shaman doesn't want to get it himself.

(You could have come into existence as something the opposite of what you wanted to be.)

"...Miss? Are you okay?"

If she doesn't respond, give the lady a hug.

Clair Shawshank [3] is not eaten by zombies.

SC
Joe Caner [4v6-1] misses the demon.
Joe Noodles [5-1v5] gets hit in the shoulder. [5v4] He noodles Jack in his shoulder.

The MILOSs withdraw to a town hall!
Richard Hearsaym [4] successfully turns from his dead ways and [4] finds a shotgun.

Undead:
George [3] reanimates as a zombie.
A nice lady approaches.

NPC:
The armies clash. [3+1v4+1v5-1v2] The demons are the worst off, losing four. Only a few Tarheels die, but a dozen each of Georgians and South Carolinans do.
