Take an example. My original character, Angel, has the ability to create and control fire. Pretty simple--you can't get burned by magical fire. But, you can be burned by superheated air. And Nuriel is pretty much the single least flexible character.
It would help against direct enchantments, curses, and idiots, but that's about it.
Hmm. But there's no "grit, spit, and duck tape" types who actually have to work for results and who actually have knowledge of how to take things apart and put them back together is there? No engineers or anything?Kyle works with hardware.
My current main character, Will, really has to work for results. He knows stuff, but aside from that, he's normal. Not even above-average physically.

I've been thinking about restarting this for a couple days, but I don't expect to actually do so for a couple of weeks. On the other hand, I kind of want to run an suggestion game in the same universe but on a heavily-colonized planet instead. Except I expect to fail miserably at that. Ah well, worst case scenario with the suggestion game is I tell a story and people don't like it so they leave. That somehow seems better than trying to meet the expectations of all active players. =|
