Roll To Dodge / Re: Warframe Prototype - Welcome to Hell, Beta Tester!
« on: March 04, 2013, 08:16:29 pm »
Shoot Lucius with the UHMG. Contact Clair.

"Is a ceasefire, eg we don't kill each other until we kill everyone else, acceptable?"

(OOC: I suppose I can tell you I was pinning the blame from Greenstar offering to send you the money on you. Fair, ain't it?)
"Loyalty Officer, I overheard a citizen telling you he would send you fine money, which is not where it should go. And while happiness is mandatory, Citizen Madha-R, it is secondary to proper investigation of treason, for who can remain truly happy when they know a citizen of Alpha Complex, who has been enjoying its benefits for untold years, has turned against Friend Computer and now seeks its destruction?"
"That is a blatant lie. In addition, it would not be my fault if a traitor attempted to bribe their way out of a fine, and any credits received in such a manner would naturally be forwarded to the proper accounts, while the traitor would be further fined for attempting to pay a bribe. I suggest you cease inventing lies in the defense of a criminal."
*turns towards whoever was fined*
"Is this so?"
"Oh....Uh...by 'You' I meant 'FC'. Can't Friend Computer, like, hear everything we say anyway?"
"Please make yourself more clear in the future to avoid unjust termination."

((...Saaaay. Not being able to use money to purchase excess commodities? Sounds rather communistic, Friend Computer.))
((TREASON! Pew pew!
Anyways, you can buy some stuff...but it's limited. And a bit odd--slide rules are pretty low-Clearance, but instructions are a couple levels higher.))

GWG: I think it's empty now but it's creator has OOC shown interest in reclaiming it.
I guess we'll need to get there first.
Its creator is the 21 Acts God of Chaos. Also known as Azthor's character or Aodun.
Neyravah was no pushover when Udil struck Them down. There's two of us.

More importantly...

Can't we just rent it with blood sacrifices or something? :P
(Wrong terminology...)
Give us 2 Major Acts to ascend; we'll give you several acts in return. Name your price and we'll make it work IC.

All the better for us--worst comes to worst, the Count arranges an "accident" for his nephew-in-law.
Which will still further implicate him.
Precisely.

"And you mine...if I ever get doors. We will be in contact in the future, I hope. May the grace and might of late Neyravah fill your veins and guide your actions."

Hurrah! It worked this time!

Spoiler: Orders, Pt 2 (click to show/hide)

"Sir, I believe we have a use for those...'horses.'"
"The animals which humans ride? They're not even tasty."
"And the humans don't expect them. If we use some effort and large quantities of horse blood, we should be able to gain the ability to
transform into horses, temporarily of course. We gallop into the humans, and when they least expect it..."
"...a dragon attacks. Brilliant."
"What's more, as the creatures are graminivorous, we don't need to stop and hunt, increasing our travel speed."
"Brilliant!"
"Shall we start work?"
"Aye...use Earthstench the Vile, this can count as the rest of his sentence if he survives. Oh, and let Swiftbeast know what's going on..."

34164
Dag nabit, I think I hit the character limit for posts. First time ever, in any forum. Now I need to do all that over!

Spoiler: Orders, Pt 1 (click to show/hide)

A Azthor is the incredibly Mighty 21 or even more (i need to look that up again) guy who was just released from prison and will propably weed out the herd a bit.
Wasn't he Aodun?

B) the Spire is active.
YES!

Quote
@ the two Ascendants: you need to hold the Spire till the end of the turn to get something out of it...and it can only be claimed by one being. Meaning you either have to kill or imprison the owner to get a grab at it. Or hope that the one who owns the thing is nice enough to hand out free acts...which i doubt.
Aw...we'll figure something out. Who owns it now?

If your only goal as an Ascendant was playing as a Younger God, rather than paving your way to Ascension, you should have applied as a Younger God. Ascendants are about !!FUN!! and struggle. It is even written as much in the entry for Ascendants in Ghaz's first post.
I do enjoy the struggle of achieving godhood but I also consider it a self imposed challenge to ascend as soon as possible from an OOC perspective.  IC, Traurig wants to ascend quickly because he has seen too many of his species die, be enslaved or other nasty stuff.  Thus he is afraid of suffering the same fate and he sees godhood as a way of becoming less vulnerable.
Similar here, except with more general motivations.

Quote
Actually after typing that I just realized how many acts you have.  Pretty please ascend GWG and me!  You'll get a super cool evolution god best buddy!
And complementary divine mountain dragon of life!

Evolution is sort of chaotic...  Just throwing that out there.
So is life.

Quote
Actually speaking of eating people look at his last turn.  Pretty much attacking every god except Udil.  Good thing I'm not a god yet, I guess.
Aye. One wonders why Aodun hasn't learned from Udil's previous allies...

Not sure who you're talking to... IC I don't even know you exist though.  Just saying.
Nor I.

34166
This puts us in a rather dangerous situation.  If he has killed so many in the past, then there is the risk he will do so again.  All the more reason to prepare ourselves for the worst.  We need more allies and we need the means to achieve godhood.  I know of few gods who could or would help us, so we may be forced to work on our own.  I will gather followers and build great underwater fortifications that we may take shelter in as needed.  Perhaps you should continue looking for a way to gain godhood while I build up our base of followers.  In this way we may achieve multiple goals at the same time.  After all, being gods would do us little good if we did not have a strong base of worshipers.  I fear that is what led to the end of my old ally Aldemas.
"Risk implies that there's a chance he won't. Aye, we need allies, followers...probably before we become gods. First, we need to find somewhere...alive, somewhere with people who aren't dead or slaves to Udil. Then, we make ourselves known, protect some village or something. Then we can ascend. But we'll need to plan more when we get there."

We need to head to wherever the merchant lives, unnanounced if laws and our warrant allows such, leave some men on the road and some in obvious non-road ways out of the city, enter the city, show the warrant, never let it leave our hand, and get to the "actually get ahold of the merchant" part ASAP. Then send him to the Duke, ASAP.
I'll point out that carrying a hostage across land is hard,
Thankfully, we'll be taking him lawfully. How do police officers do it?

Quote
and the Count specialized his forces in cavalry.
So? If he tries to stop us so...brazenly, so openly, he's betraying the Duke if not the King. No contact is worth that.

Quote
I'll also point out that someone else can show the worthless piece of paper while we touch the hilt of our sword.
...If needed, why not?

Quote
Just don't go into that city thinking you can get the Count's front man without a fight, please.
Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Quote
Please, don't approach this as though your warrant does aught but soothe your conscience.
It also gives us the legal right to do this, which means that should this come down to a contest of arms, the Crown and various allies will be on our side.

Quote
The Count has every reason to get rid of his front man, one way or another, or fight like a lion should the front man be taken. That dude has dirt on the Count that you can't even conceive. We're probably just the tip of the iceberg.
All the better for us--worst comes to worst, the Count arranges an "accident" for his nephew-in-law.

Anyone skillful enough with .gifs to make a .gif of the game?

Oh, and Loud? Invalid move. If you don't like my interpretation, let me know before javier's next turn.

Dariush?

34169
Note: I didn't block you because I couldn't.
"Well, why not?" This is my first time playing, you dolt. I didn't even know how conquering stuff works until recently! Although the "conquer" button clued me in...

Orders deleted and moved.

You people really need to read the intro and major updates. You took Ascendants without even reading the entry? You start with 1 minor act, make or break it, that is all you get for free; if you want more acts, you need to find a source.
Oops.

Quote
And GWG, I think we are not playing the same game. Do you notice which character you just threatened?
The guy who just angered the...sleeping...crap.

You forgot his fangs GW.
Weapons made from Seaspawn fangs can hurt even Shades and Nelkathar.
Good thing gods don't have seaspawn fangs, right?
Anyways, even those take a while to hurt a motile, intelligent, dragon-shaped mountain...

Oh, and Iamanelfcollaborator: This is a good time to intervene in our conversation. Gods, especially Knowledge Gods, probably know when they're being talked about, or being ignored/forgotten, and if not...you're the God of Knowledge!
Do you want a new pantheon?
