My amazingly brilliant story developed after learning the finer points of writing during thousands upon thousands of hours studying in the American Educational System:

Bio: !ku was a glorified street rat (well, the Kogan term translates closer to "Roof Pigeon", but same idea) until ve found a chance to join this tournament. Ve's not sure what a dollar is, but if he can sell it for a dozen a y!, ve'll be a rich Kogan.

The Death Dealers use cards impregnated* with crystal from the crystal meteors.

*As in the crystal is embedded in the cards.

There will be a Meta stat, it determines the how well a character can use meta knowledge and target entities on the other side of the fourth wall (such as bonuses and dice and text).

This stat is tied to players, rather than characters. It starts at 0 (-3 to Meta rolls), giving a modifier to Meta rolls equal to (M/2)-3. Meta can only be decreased through a few violent types of trauma, including a card from the Death Dealers.

All supernatural effects are due to crystal meteorites in some form or another.

Crystal meteorites hit Earth before the phygs' experiments, just not in such high concentrations.

Why do I think that religion c is the most attractive?

Jane twists the band on Meus's wand so both are on the Θ setting. She then mutters the same word once more. [14+3+1+6,19+2+6] Out of the twin wands comes a new breastplate, made of some golden metal. Jabe, irritated at how much breastplates seem to come up, names it the Yetanother Breastplate; as if it's responding to her demands, it reshapes itself into a golden cape. Worth it, no?
