NEW FEATURE: Group inventory.
Stuff you have between you. You have to either claim it for a character, or indicate who is carrying it. This is to prevent objects magically floating along alongside the party on their adventures.
The dagger is the one you took from Moldour.
Oh.
Um, I'm editing my post.

Take 10 gold, 5 gold, the last 4 rations (the rations and the 5 gold for the Group Inventory), and the axe.

"Who wants the buckler?"
"We should probably practice with this thing."
"Don't fret, we will."

Move away from the others and swing the axe around experimentally, carefully.

+3 (Kadzar is a person)
Did you forget to include yourself or Vector, or is that counting all the plusses that aren't NRDL's?
It counts everyone except freeform. And placed the wrong username with the right post.

>Ask purple haired guy who HE is.
Only slip him one, he'll probably say a few words then claim you need to pay him for more. Just be prepared to spend 5, but only if he's got anything worthy to hear.

By the way, those are some awesome tools. And we really need meatshields--I didn't realize Grace was also a mage until I had finished everything but the Heroic Deeds and part of my backstory.

Hm...so circles basically combine the effects of runes. I now have a way to use runes in Infimicon without seeming derivative!

Sketch and activate PM rune.

continue adding people to shadowdragon
[4v6] Nope.

Great... time learn the old fashioned way, first make a backup of everything on the ultracomputer in case I screw something up.
[1] You screw something up while performing the backup.

Strangle self. Stab self in foot. Kill self. When sucessful, Respawn as Scientist, with Force Powers. IS NOT MAGIC. IS THE FORCE.
[2-1] You fail to strangle yourself, instead giving TCM a neck massage. [4-1] You poke yourself in the foot with your finger. [1-1] You give yourself some medicine.

Respawn as a tap-dancing gnome. Confuse the world with my prowess.
[3] You respawn as a tap-dancer.

Fly sort of glide at Xantalos and steal his sword.
You flap over to Xantalos and [1] strain, strain, strain at the sword, but it's too heavy to pick up so you just stand on it.

Stab II as he goes overhead while I stab my sword upward in the air, screaming, "BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL!"
Become He-Man.

(II = Insanity Incarnate)
You don't have any hands, only half a metal arm.

Force InsanityIncarnate and Nosaneinme to fight to the death
[2] No.

Kill someone.
[1] You're someone! Respawn?

((Ft Brag?))
It's in North Carolina, IIRC. Google/Wikipedia it. It's a bit less abandoned than this one is.

Output daemon lord loyal to me.
...No.

What do you want the avatar to look like?

1. The gobbos quite possibly don't deal with assassination, thus the point is moot,
True, but my statement was valid when I said it due to the prevailing assumptions.

Quote
however: being a 'god' doesn't preclude attack.
It does, however, make it much less likely. Lynch mobs are more likely for deicide than mere homicide, for instance.

Quote
2. This is what I was trying to point out; none of us really knows how to get them to think us gods. Just showing up and hoping they don't shoot first and ask questions later might not be good for our health, and even if they don't we lack a cohesive strategy for achieving godhood.
We've got a better shot with the dwarves than with humans, elves, or wandering randomly through the wilderness hoping we find something.

Quote
Also: some heads will try to eat..
And they will get overruled. With our teeth, if need be.

Quote
-ps, I think it's the straight-up unliving-ethereal-ness that gets them worshipped as gods.
The GM explicitly stated that hydras are sometimes worshiped as gods by goblins and dwarves.

Quote
3. I've been trying to avoid making overt suggestions, (I know, doing a shoddy job), so here it is: get some of them thieving lizard people to scout around further than 3 km. Specifically ask them about the other civs and their relations with them. Try to collect more info before waltzing into the (now thoroughly-)unknown quantity that is the local dwarven civ. In the meantime bide your time and get yourself fed.
Somehow, I can't imagine this would be too effective; even if the little guys could carry out such an expedition without being captured or killed, would they and would they have a chance of bringing back useful data?

Huh?

Eh, well, this is after all on a subforum of DF forums, (with characters & elements reminiscent of the game's universe). That you didn't think of it doesn't mean it shouldn't have been thought of.
Well excuse me for expecting basic logic and non-cruel-evil GMs.

Quote
The best I'd hope for is our heads matching the gods of their pantheon-- which we don't know and could use some scouting to learn.
Or we could try a simple mutual back-scratching. There's a few things I can think of we could give them, like protection, lizardy servants, and an All-U-Can-Eat Hydra Head BBQ.

Roll To Dodge / Re: YOU AT SEQUEL'S FINAL BOSS: Dammit De--Chrome.
« on: February 23, 2013, 12:39:01 am »
I MUST update tonight! MUST! NOT! RUIN! PERFECT! RECORD!
Even if it ruins my REM sleep!
This is actually on time!
Well, dang it.
My record is finally gone.
But I will rebuild it!
Damn it, Chrome, why did you crash, taking 2/3 of the turn with it and making me redo the turn on Firefox?
Early turn, record safe!
Almost-forgotten turn, record in jeopardy!

get a negative 100 bonus.
get a negative 100 bonus.
Aid action. This must happen.
[5-5+1] You get something even worse than a -100 malus...a -101 malus! Which, if I am not mistaken, makes you, quantitatively, the single most pathetic character in any RtD EVER! Congrats?

I still have no idea what's going on but this is fun!
Glad to hear it!

Chuck as many explosives as I can in a turn at whoever has the giant hat the voices told me to kill. Also laugh like a madman while doing it.
[5] You hurl explosives at that guy. [1+100] He is unfazed by it, except that that hole in his belly gets slightly larger.

Earn a +130 bonus, using my current bonus.
[4+4] OH NO YOU DON'T. You momentarily have a +134 bonus, but the high result on your roll activated the Overshot Detector, which caused Head Death to feed you to Cthulhu.

Respawn outside of the amalgamation because this is getting unfun.
[6] You respawn about a hundred thousand miles above the amalgamation. Gravity's pretty weak out here; you've got quite a while to fall.

Observe the effects of dying in the realm of the dead.
Hm. You don't seem to be dead. Shoot.

((Which friendship?))
You, my friend, just tripped my That Was Freaking Obvious device. -1 malus for 1 turn get!

Quote
Training montage.
[1+2-1] It's a tedious one, and since it's just a montage you don't learn anything.

GUYS CRAWL INSIDE ME YOU CAN TEAR HIM UP FROM THE INSIDE OUT.
Create Golem from nearby discarded metal using magical powers (oooooohhhh!!!)
[3] You create an Aluminum Foil and Penny Golem.
*knock knock knock*

Kill Self.
Respawn outside of the boss as head of new 'Hats' faction.
Summon Hatlings.

Try again!
I'm not going to give up, you know.
I told you random.org cheats!
Maybe so.
[6v6+100] You can't escape. Maybe you should try to exploit Furtakarcichlordandrandomprisonertoo's weakness...[3+2] You summon 50 more Ultra Hatlings.

BOSS TURN:
The drunk girl looks for alcohol. [1] She finds an AA meeting and cries for help!
Death of Getting Glared At Angrily By a Giant Frog tries to avoid work. [1] He gets promoted to Death of Universes Ending.
Benjamin Franklin gathers some superheroes--[4] Spinnerette, Ultra, and Tiger. (It's just Tiger.)
Kitty Pride and Buttercup spontaneously decide to go into a Pokebattle. [5v3] Ms. Pride wins, hands-down.
The Mythbusters realize they lost a dangerous amount of one of their stockpiles of infinite explosives and therefore [5] find another. Now they have 2-4/5 stockpiles of every explosive device that ever has, could, or will exist in any universe.
The Pope tries to get a Popemobile! [6] It appears, as if by divine will, and crushes the Pope. God must not be Catholic.
Ursula shoots Doomblade, for good measure. [3+3v4] She hits, stripping him of the remainder of his bonus.
