Forum Games and Roleplaying / Six-Person Chess--Red Needed!
« on: February 20, 2013, 09:56:29 pm »
Sorry guys I'm gonna drop out of this. These new pieces confuse me and it's just sort've lost my fancy.
Sorry to hear that. Who wants to be red?

Which means it's Remuthra's turn.

Sure. Whatever preserves your delicate self-esteem.

35013
So I am. Nerjin should have a guess as to the real reason...

The main advantage I see in fast zombies is that it's easier to make a threat that you need to confront, but can do so with conventional weapons. With slow zombies, about the only way to do so is to make a zombie or two confront the characters in an enclosed space. With fast zombies, you can chuck a zed or two anywhere and have that work.

Anyone else probably going to mass kill Entropy guy once he arrives?
I'm waiting until he does something bad.
Prove me wrong, Jbg.
Well dammit, now I have to be good just to mess with GWG's perception of reality.
Ah, but I instructed you to, so I will be expecting the possibility.

Hey, I sent a PM requesting to join, are you accepting new players?
Yup. It's "Infimicon," though.

You talk, I act.

Create some mats of sargasso-like plants, but silicon-based, so big and thick they can function as small islands when creatures come along. Give them floating, juicy fruits. Also create some sort of animal to eat these fruits and spread the seeds within.

I think we've found the problem.

Inform him that the spark plugs are missing. Suggest they may have been stolen.

Thing being, though, people still can't find Udil unless he wills them to be able to. So Corvus potentially being a snitch isn't going to do much for him, and he has incentive not to betray me.
ASSUMING that's true...I pointed out several mundane ways to figure out where Udil is once given a general location, and I have a few ideas of ways to find him much more easily...
And that's assuming that being a demigod with multiple artifacts doesn't make the unseeability invalid or circumventable.

Quote
I do feel it was rather sad that you never got to respond for your fight, though. Udil's protection has the strength of only ONE mighty act, so you might've broken through.
You better believe it. Especially since his Act was used for offense, correct?

The easiest solution to all your worshipping needs, would be to improve the Shade's way of life, and get worship from them..... Who needs dwarves or humans when you have Semi-Immortal Humanoids of Pure Darkness worshipping you!
You mean the easiest solution to all your worshipping needs would be to summon an entropic/extropic being from beyond the Veil, have him support you because your brought him into the universe, and have him stir up worship for you or else people start breaking down everything into electrons, positrons, and neutrinos?
Fixed that for you.

I'd also prefer starting over!

Not because I have the lowest point total or anything...

A - Slow zombies give more dread. Fast zombies are also vulnerable to head shots.
The point of fast zombies is that you can't evade them by walking away. A single fast zombie is a threat; a single slow zombie is not. A mob of zombies is a big threat that you probably can't kill, regardless of type.
Fast zombies are just boring though in the sense that they don't inspire a true dread. Too powerful, too easy to get infected. The slow zombies are more interesting due to the following reason: They just keep coming. You can "outwalk" death for a while but it is always there, always coming closer. So you killed 499 zombies? That's nice, but maybe there's a slow one still on his way waiting fro you to drop your guard. With fast ones? 499 zombies dead? Too fast for there to be any stragglers I'm afraid.
Fast zombies can be slow; they're not immune to losing/breaking limbs. In fact, as injured slow zombies can keep up with the horde far better than injured fast zombies, fast zombies actually have a wider array of speeds...

Also no special infected as that's dumb... Death is not a super power guys.
Plus rotting one. (That's a good thing.)
No idea what you mean by this.
Plus 1, but rotting because it's zombies.

((Ok.... what's a cray supercomputer?)) ((inb4 you say it's like a cray computer))
It's a kind of computer. Probably the best-known is the ones used by John Hammond in Costa Rica along with the Hood gene sequencers, but I'm pretty sure a few were used by the SCP Foundation's Project Olympia.

Shove superblast into shadow dragon SCP-914. Set to Fine.
Shove superblast into shadow dragon SCP-914. Set to Fine.
Aid action.
[1v3] superblast isn't interested.

Kamikaze on someone.
[6] You kamikaze on ShadowDragon. [4v2] You sprint into his internal mechanisms and screw them up. But you don't die.

Respawn. Punch the earth
[6] You break your arm.

GNAW ON EVERYTHING.
[3] You gnaw on the soil.

Hm... shove the computer into someone's head and see what happens. If it's too big then shove somebody's head into the computer to see what happens.
[1] You smash your head into the computer. This doesn't hurt at all. Respawn?

Punch anything useful until its destroyed.
[2] You punch ShadowCragon Person 914 a little, but your fists hurt.

Write quick virus program. Corrupt Nano-bots and computer. MAKE THEM BUILD ME MY EVIL LABORATORY.

And then use lab to make Resonance Cascade.
[2] You can't find a good program on the bloody Cray. All you see is a Word document with "Jurassic Park Hello, please give me some booze." as its title.

Roll To Dodge / Re: Roll to Beta: 5 weeks til release! Test 1 Starting!
« on: February 20, 2013, 09:03:47 pm »
Maybe if you make a map of where each team is like Roll to be an interstellar mercenary.
I'll try that next turn.

"Soooo... I'm defense. That's what Green does, right? How did I just cap that point then?"
GM malfunction.

-----

Find a good spot to camp from.
Utilize clipping through walls to sneak up to people and shear them. Capture a point if possible.
Use the weed killer, and do not let go of the fire button. Spray reds as they come through the walls.
run up to my nearwst team mate and give them a power boost. (Hopefuly the put a few in in lue of my class)
...plant sword into ground and sit down for a nice picnic.
Don't follow Marcus, go through the wall where I shot my grenades, and go to the nearest control point. Cap it.
Attack Old Man Kingsley with Longbow.
Punch wall. Attempt Physics glitch.

-----

Bug Roll: [1]
[4] Larssen locates a sweet spot on the roof where he can shoot into the Red spawn area while being able to retreat behind cover (well, concealment) when shot at.
73+ clips through the wall for a control point. No one is within sight...until Old Man Kingsley investigates the unmistakeable sound of a point being captured and sprays the weed killer at his fellow Gardener! 73+ is set on fire! Archangel hurries into the room and [4-1v6] misses as Kingsley dodges. Joe hurries through the wall and captures a point!
D.D. fires his Flesh Welder at Archangel...[1] and promptly crashes the game.

-----

Joe utters a loud, four-lettered word which is promptly removed from the record as seven chairs move backwards more or less at once. Old Man Kingsley admonishes him for swearing, continuing to hold down the mouse and tap the arrow keys for several seconds before realizing there's an error message.
Well, this is a good bug to figure out.

The programmer observing, a bit pale with embarrassment, says "Well, we can continue onto the Comments and Critiques Conference, but we've still got time before the triple-C where we could try another playthrough if you promise not to use the Flesh Welder this time..."

What's your choice?

That's it. I'm lobbying for robopolarbears.
Since we melt the ice caps will they need to be PirateRobotPolarBears?
That does sound pretty awesome.
If we do that (and I don't want to), we'd need to make them ninjas and zombies as well. At minimum.

Oh, and seeding life will probably disable terrain controls like making the life-planet disabled systemic controls.
