« on: February 20, 2013, 04:53:33 pm »Wait... so the thief is revealed at the end of the round and the game is reset, except for the points? So the entire game is basically a shitty 5-person mafia with absolutely nothing to base votes on, and points tacked on for no reason?I was hoping for the same thing. This is kinda simplistic.
And here I was, hoping for a strategic tracking of the thief over multiple rounds, with it not being known what happened to the pot, bluffing about betting more points than you have and the person who was voted being essentially a confirmed townie and so on. Screw this, I'm out.
If you're not the thief, the best move is to put in as little as possible, because there's not much chance of catching the thief.
If you are the thief, the best move is to put in as little as possible, so that those points aren't halved (and, of course, to reduce suspicion).
Anyways...I vote mcclay in case Nerjin was lying and he is the thief again.
