Roll To Dodge / Finimicon: A Magical Arena: Turn 3
« on: February 10, 2013, 07:35:52 pm »
We're over 400 views!

"Sentential demonic staff if possible, if not magic staff."
"Sure, just get me out please."

Try to break trough the vines and get closer to the pool of clear water. Cast SPELL if anything goes wrong.
[2-1] You can't escape the vines; they sort of constrict around you, making it harder to breathe and move! [4-1,5-1-1] You summon a healthy, vivacious calf. It and you are both surprised.

I initiate plan Magic is Fun
[3v6+1] You do not steal any energy from Arnok, but keep trying! (Maybe you should get Arnok to let you?) [2+2,3] A ball of roots, leaves, and stem flies out of your outstretched finger and roots itself into the ground next to the magma.

Look into both pools
Ask it
" Can you give me an item?"To the clear pool
Threaten to throw the cup into the black pool if it doesn't answer me
Say word to the other guy in the room

You wander over to the pool, and notice two items in the clear pool: A coin and a dart. You ask, it doesn't answer, and you realize you left the cup floating in the air behind you, so you shout at the guy in the other room.

walk through the door into the statue room, fire off a beam of orange at the statues abdomen then dodge back into my room if it hurls stuff at me
How do you intend to fire a beam of energy at it?

'Bah magma, that's not any fun at all is it?  Well I'm outta here' Initiate plan, hot escape.
Thank you for actually PMing your words to me.
[2] Your spell does nothing. You do, however, flee successfully.

Unless it looks like I'm in immediate danger (eg if the magma/lava is close) carry on trying to save Arnok's life. If the lava/magma gets close or he dies, just grab his stuff and run.
Edit - edited a bit
[3] You manage to slow the bleeding some more. He's likely dead this turn, barring something from his action, but he'll go peacefully.

While other guy tries healing me, blurt out FakFeeFerusFleurGars. Don't point in any general direction.
[4+2,2+1] You summon a truly remarkable...thing. It's a condor or something made of a rusty ugly dull yellow metal, like iron mixed with gold or something. It is covered in dirty, ragged cloth feathers. I call it:  The Alloy Bird of Cloth and Detritus, or ABCD.
Joachim's efforts have bought you a chance, however slight. [5] You just hang onto consciousness, and shouldn't die until next turn.

-----

--on, die alr--this thing is on? Oops. Ahem.
The calf moos unhappily, probably looking for its mother.
The Alloy Bird of Cloth and Detritus glances around, and [4] hops towards its maker.

-----

Don't assume I can guess what words you're using, state it.

Go get the mountable heavy rifle.
Swear loudly.
Do not have this replace my other action.
It is a joke. Kinda.

Spoiler:  {681,I} (click to show/hide)

With a gesture, the platform shifts, directing itself with bursts from the barely functioning engines. You run a finger over the surface of a screen, feeling the dilation of time fade as you complete the necessary calculations.
With a blink, you’re standing atop the main engine core, a dome of power holding back the primal fury of a captured sun. You sit cross-legged on your heart and soul, just as the thrusters flare to life. Matter, space and time blur around you as the long-forgotten but still familiar power roars into your veins and the satellite soars through space.
You activate time dilation, making each second that passes feel like an eternity as you enjoy, perhaps, your last flight.

You pass three planets, and you’re close, relatively, of course, to [681,I]. You have a few seconds --which to yourself, is all the time in the world-- to adjust your fall trajectory according to your wishes. You tap your fingers on the energy shield surrounding your heart as you think.

How would you like to land?
In the cool Volcalnic north, try to save the passengers, not the ship, Let it twist and rip apart. Keep the cabins and quarters whole. We can pick up the other pieces later.
+1

because you were in your sleeping form? And thus not able to cast any mighty acts?
I only had 1 turn left before waking up. And wouldn't i wake up if somebody was trying to kill me with a hammer?
A turn makes you as asleep as a hundred; and the Overgod's sleep seems more like a coma.

Rewards shall be kisses from the fairest maiden (unless she/the competitor disagree, of course.). Cost = none, incentive = high. So that means fairest maiden competition first, too.
...We vetoed this idea remember?
+1, especially if the maiden has veto power.

Also, I had an idea for the village(maybe not this moth); basically we see about building a small chapel and see if the Church can provide us with a priest. That should make the citizens happy, increase our reputation, and impress our fellows with our piety(and I don't mean false piety, we'll be attending Sunday Mass ourselves naturally)
Sounds good.

"Well done, Thaneos. We do believe We couldn't have done better Ourself. As for the New Overgod...what better way to help the world?
"...Come to think of it, there are many. We could not bear to sleep for eons as the world worsens. We will not attempt to usurp the Overgod's position.

Ignore previous post.

Instead, do this:

Neyravah, freed from fear of the old Overgod and flushed with His power, gave one last gift to the dwarves: Mountain Tortoises. With a Mighty Act, They fused several tortoises with several mountains to make a race of, essentially, living mountains. These Mountain Tortoises were released near the dwarven settlements, with forests living on them already.

Then, Neyravah searched the world, searching for any desert, tundra, scrap of rock, or other lifeless place in the world where there are people. They attempt to locate some downtrodden person, make that person aware of Them, and offer to help them and their society.

Spoiler: Mountain Tortoises (click to show/hide)

Anyhow. We need a new Overgod. That means, all people with Overgod sheets and all people with Elder God Sheets get them ready.
Wouldn't it make more sense for one of the Elder Gods or something to become the new Overgod?

Jon's finished.

Crawl towards a nearby wall in hopes of cover. Check bag.

Use appropriate bag item or clothes to improvise a bandage of some kind and otherwise stop the bleeding.
I'm a biologist, not an MD!

Killing me means that you wont get anymore power except through eating everyone else or consuming the souls of mortals. B-B-B-B-BRING IT BITCH.
Don't care; Ancient.
When the Elder gods have to eat the souls of mortals, they will eat your followers. Again, you need me to live by extension.
Any entity that eats souls will have to answer to me, unless those souls were already judged and sent to the council of deities.  I will create a seal to prevent divine intervention around the entire planet if I have to!
I do not intend to "eat" any souls. I'm not quite sure how blood sacrifices go, but I'm pretty sure it isn't "eating" souls.

-----

Also, what kinds of sacrifices give Elder Gods Acts?

35713
In every city, teach all those who will listen the true history of the Universe (excluding the bits where Mutare dropped War Giants onto Dwarves, drove mortals insane, taught them knowledge that shouldn't have been known, and generally things that would make Mutare look like a dick. He might be one, but still.)
That deceitful Overgod...
Manifest alongside Mutare. Add in these things He left out. Also reveal his thoughts of drowning the Ninth Continent and how He despised Us for giving the dwarves such gifts as the Flamoaks.

Join Thaneos in his attack on Mutare.

About the festival...

Anything that doesn't require significant expenditures should be approved. Anything else should be considered.
For instance, cooking and farming competitions shouldn't take much in the way of extra resources (except preparation times for the contestants and, of course, a time and place to do it), but depending on the craft craftwork might. (Unless the crafters are going to show off crafts made with their own resources and not town-provided ones, in which case go nuts.)

Also make sure not to schedule any two events at the same time. That way, people who want to compete in or watch multiple events won't ever have to choose, and we can personally show up ourself to each one (which we should).

I vote:
Mountain Pass as Humans and I don't cares, Extra Fame, a God of Flesh*, and this:
Our avatar will be a human male, named Olaf Sitrur, professional industrial (miner/smith/bossy), whose favourite color is Gold
as our avatar.
*Ideally, one of Life, Chaos, and Fire, but the closest seems to be the creature-making Flesh. If Life can make new species, change my vote to Life god.
Blasphemy! There is only one Donut.
And He is in Many Places.
