I have no idea how it would work.

Anyways...to pass the time.

A Resolution to Make an Official Office In the Synod
As my position as Synod Scribe is essentially fiat--something best to be avoided if we can--I propose we add the following Law:
"6. The following offices exist in the Synod. All officials may be impeached at any time by a 2/3 majority and replaced as indicated.
a. Scribe: The Scribe of the Synod records votes and keeps track of the Synod's status as needed. The position is held for the life of the participant Power or until impeached. A new Scribe may be elected by a simple majority if the seat is empty; in the meantime, an interim Scribe may be appointed or appoint him/herself."
This Law would also allow greater flexibility, should we need to add new offices later.

I am also against soul theft.

I may be vanishing next turn, depending on how successful my evangelization is. Who wants to take my place as Synod Scribe?

General Discussion / Maryland Exists
« on: February 07, 2013, 08:08:22 pm »
I have an occasional debate with some people I know over Maryland's existence.
I'm on the "it exists" side, of course.

Any suggestions on proving such?

Woodcutters? Huh?

So you can fake.

Which means it is super much more helpful to only put in zero.
Hm, true.
You can PM how much you put in, but don't expect me to accept them.

How so? This means you contribute nothing, and thus can gain nothing if others follow suit. He never once said this was competitive. Thus, we can neither win nor lose. I'm almost certain this is trying to show how socialism works. If everyone is willing to put in? Good things happen. If no one is? Bad things happen. To me, it's like the good man falls farther thing. If it works right, it's super good for everyone. If it doesn't, it's pretty bad for everyone. With capitalism, if it works right, it's good for everyone, and if it doesn't, it's okay for everyone. Since we're people, and as this is showing, people are assholes, it usually goes wrong, meaning capitalism is the bettr choice is most situations. In societies where people are neither lazy nor douchebags(at least most of the time), it would work marvelously. Which is why I suggested the continuous cost.
I don't have anything specific in mind. Political discussions will await a new thread and a better definition of "socialism."
As to the continuous cost: How would that help?

Respawn and bite someone to death
[6] You eat the only person who you can see: Yourself. Respawn?

Well, I should be, as of this turn, 3 away. Especially since you haven't defined how far it is by a given means of travel, therefore, hypothetically, I could crawl there and be there as fast as someone who sprints.
Break for lunch. Slaughter deer, eat heart, frolic. Continue in direction of the city.
[4] You find a deer and [3v4] get a bruise. You are three turns away at a normal walking speed, so you're still 3 turns out.

keep going
Two turns left.

Desperately salvage crop. Continue regrowing crops until plentiful again.
[5] Crop salvaged! [2] Then stolen.

Well singing got boring, Walk backwards while going to the city thing.
[6] You trip. Four and a half turns out.

Steal whatever Xantalos has.
[5v2]
You steal
Oatmeal!

Continue traveling towards the something.
One turn left. It looks familiar...

Trot horse to settlement.
One turn left?

Spawn as ant, start digging.
[6] You are a giant ant, and collapse under your own weight.

Try to go faster in the almondmobile.
[1] The almondmobile falls apart! Four turns left...

Guys? What made you think this was a real-physics world? The god? The reality warping? The chimera-people?

35919
I meant the pretty little picture that clearly stated "HEY YOU. YES, UNSUSPECTING PLAYER. YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE DESTROYED.
Which one is that?

35920
I'd prefer that you simply PM me the amount you want to add to the pot, since posting something fake in the thread runs the risk of me forgetting that you PM'd me something.

I had a Contingency spell active. If I were to be about to die, it would teleport me to a safe place, like the Astral Plane or my lair.
Have that activate prehumously.

FUCK IT
DETONATE WITH THE FORCE OF 10 TRILLION SUPERNOVAS, DESTROYING EVERYTHING IN A 10^99999999999999999999999999999 LIGHT-YEAR RADIUS

That's within a few orders of magnitude of being the cubic root of a googolplex. That's...comparing a sphere with that radius to the diameter of the known universe is a bit sillier than comparing the diameter of the known universe to the width of a proton. Maybe a quark.

How much health is left on the centipede?
How would you know?
