There's four of us, each with our crossbows out. Turn around real fast(he said not to do it real slow), and point crossbows at him. "Now who the fuck do you think you are?"
Agreed. A crossbow might seem low-tech, but it'll kill pretty well, and I imagine that we'd pump him full of bolts before he could kill four people with his single weapon.

With no metric to measure them, the most is as good as one needs to be really. I mean, how it is set up here, the person who put in the most, Rolepgeek is actually going to come out with less then he put in. Thus the safest strategy is to put in nothing and profit off the risks of others.
That was the point, actually.

Surely the experiment was not this simple? Perhaps if it was reproduced in full the outcome would be more interesting.
It involved actual money, IIRC, but other than that no.

I put in 100 points.
Sure thing!
(Positive amounts only, smart-alecks.)

I could use a couple more. 12 is a lot more divisible than 10.

You're going down, javierpwn.

Hmmm, ok its a 6th level spell that is a ray with a range of medium(100ft/10ft per 2 levels) and a duration of 1 round/5 levels that mangetizes an object or person with an extreme magnetic pull(that has a radius of 100ft), attracting metal objects to them(or attracting them to a stationary metal object). The maximum damage that objects hitting the target can do is 5d6, though if the spell causes the person hit by it to move instead it deals falling damage as if that person fell the distance the person moves until they strike the object they were attracted to.(in your case, BOTH happened.)
And yes, it's called Magnetize Object
Where's the spell from?

So yeah, in case my post in the other thread doesn't make it obvious, I attempt to make the pit trap safe to walk over.
The DMG, I think, says that pit traps can't be disabled like that with Disable Device. Doing so just ruins the covering of the hole, in this case the trap door.
I certainly don't remember smashing the trapdoor.

I suggest leaving the pit trap there. We can get over it pretty easily, but not everyone will be able to. Say, people chasing us.

Don't erase the database, there's not much we could do with it.

Ew.
Oh right. Do you (players) want me to tone down the gore stuff?
I didn't consider some might be 'ewed' by it (It's bay12 I mean...we burn elves) but if it disgusts you I can probably 'blank' the dismemberments and so on...
It's fine by me. But then, I'm the only kid in my high school I know of who really liked dissections (except the squid one, but that's mostly because I broke the gladius a lot and was...otherwise incompetent.)

Speaking of dissections, that's the least crazy thing so far. Why oh why would you set off a trap ON PURPOSE?

35947
"Um.
"One of us is giving a premature Cesarean to a dire rat we just killed. Another just triggered a trap to see what would happen.

"...Why did I join these people?"

Go see if I can help with the rats. Because that frankly seems the least crazy thing to do.

Alright. I'm going to go with a god for now, though I'm slightly confused about the upkeep. 34 seems like a lot. Is that a fixed amount, or does it vary depending on something?
I recall reading about it on the other thread, but I can't find it now.
It goes up with human population.
I wouldn't go god. Rolepgeek promised to lower upkeep, but he hasn't seemed to. I've been playing from Turn 1, evangelizing each turn and providing miracles untuil very recently, and my followers haven't been generating enough to counter the upkeep. Any new gods would have a tough time not going to sleep very fast.

Eh...long as you're not a Draco knockoff.
That wouldn't be so bad.
A Celestia knockoff, though...

I haven't.
Go ahead and update.  :P
Remember not to do the second part unless I'm actually about to fall asleep. It would be a senseless waste otherwise.
What kind of miracle could you achieve with one worship?
Not the one worship. There's a reason that I don't want to do it unless I actually have to...

Because it appears that you are trying to recreate the prisoners dilemma without all the parts that make it a actual dilemma. The winning strategy is to simply put in zero points. Every single round. The worst that can happen is you tie for first place.
As it so happens, I'm borrowing an idea from an experiment I read about in...something.

Because, the only way you would gain by putting in points is if the total number of point-givers was less than the multiplier of points. Otherwise, asshats like me will always win since they contribute no points, but still recieve points.
Well, yes, that is a problem. Not entirely true, however.

Two things to consider:
1. If several people put in lots of points, everyone benefits.
2. "The goal is to get as many points as possible." Not "the most."

This game design needs a little more thinking through...
Why do you say that?

Continue recruiting. Pray that I get some more people.

If I'm about to fall asleep, activate Operation: Great Miracle!
