I'd prefer to use Serena's favors to work on our renaissance.
Agreed.

I thought Selena was air. Guys, if she's water, then we have every element. We must make Roku.
Is that a reference to Avatar: The Last Airbender?
No, there's some OTHER Roku who can control all four elements, just like there's some other pyrokinetic Azula.

I'm past trying to catch up with all the scheming. You guys should go work for Maher.
WITH. With Maher.
Maher would probably end up working for us pretty quickly...

Instead of straight up stealing we could maybe 'hire out' our mayhem.

Ho ho ho! You are mine, human! I, Lared, shall devour your body and soul!
"Scraaaaaaawgle!"

Disembowel Javier with my beak. If that fails, use mighty and powerful word!"
Beat his face with my sledgehammer
Grab my wand back

[Initiative: 18+1,16]
[18v12, 1d8=3] Lared, the newly-self-named beast, lept at Javier and ripped at his stomach. Javier felt a large wound open, and his lifeblood (not that there's any other kind...) gushing out. [18-1] He staggers, managing to continue to act, and [13-1v4+1] mashes at the poor little creature with his mallet, [1d10=6] greatly wounding it. [1-1] This action proves too much of a strain for Javier, who promptly keels over.
Level Up! New ability: Savage. Your experience in combat has made you good at destroying foes with nothing but your body. All unarmed melee attacks are at +1 to hit and for damage.

Hok crowbar through silvery breastplate, drag it along. Say Word.
Will silver breastplate to not kill him, and choose to not count for his spells.
Jane sort of wills at the breastplate, and sticks her crowbar into it. She then tries casting a spell. [18+3+3-2, 8+2+3-2]* Another silvery breastplate, much like the last, springs into existence, floating in front of Jane. She notes that it looks more tarnished, yet paradoxically the silver looks shinier.

Well, I'm still going to throw spells out there, maybe I'll get a useful one.
PMed.
Archmage Coolguy feels his vitality slip away as he casts his new spell. [15+2,5+1] A fairly thick sapling erupts from the end of the Archmage's wand, streaking with greenish energy. It misses the centipede, but vines sprout from the remnants, glowing green. [1!+2+5] A further effect fails to occur.

Meus puts the silver breastplate on and examines his wand too.
"Hm, my symbols seem to differ from yours. Strange." ((Just assuming something here. I hope you don't mind, and edit this if they don't (altough I would be surprised if they were identical.)))
Strangely, the symbols are essentially the same, with about as much difference as exists between this and this. Your wand is on the α rune.
Slipping on the [Tails] new breastplate, you wince, feeling a bit of energy coming over you! [6] Jane isn't terribly fast with her reaction, [18-3] but you don't die!

((Insight please.))
Clair turning away from the wand, regard the spider "Hi"
Attack with umbella.
Charging at the surprised spider, [11v5+3-2;11+1-5] Clair's umbrella bends the beast's chitin damagingly, [1d10:10] driving a splinter of chitin through the beast's...some kind of vital organ, you assume, because it's dead. You glance back at the place where the spider was standing. It's some sort of magical circle, with the armor still there...
Level Up! Umbrellomancer: Your ability to use a...unique weapon has benefited you greatly. You get a +2 on rolls to attack with a weighted umbrella and a +1 to damage with it.

-----

Two people fell beasts, one a young mage crushing a spider bigger than she, the other an angry creation turning on its master. In addition, two others manage to form a bit of friendship, tempered by his near-death by her creation. This leaves the Archmage, who created a plant which future generations would no doubt enjoy if the giant centipede doesn't destroy them first.
Said centipede strikes!
[5+1v6-2] Despite the Archmage's slowed reflexes, the centipede misses him completely.
A new person appears alongside the new friends. He is wearing baggy clothes with large pockets, a fine birch wand with a golden band nearly 10 inches long in his hand, and a surprised look on his bestubbled face.

-----

*These last couple modifiers were supposed to be there last time, but I forgot.
Since the spider could have easily been FAR more lethal if the chitin had deflected the blow, or the damage roll wasn't max, I've chosen to count monstrous spiders as being level 2.
And increase insight!
You didn't level up. A bit moot at the moment, because you're dead.
Say, javierpwn/Wwolin, wanna name Wwolin's species?
Okay, the two of you who leveled up? Choose a stat to increase.
scapheap, you're leveling like mad!
We could use some Waitlisters, neh?
I made a couple of minor rules changes, notably one which slightly changes how hit points are determined.
...And that's all.

The grapes were found growing naturally on your land, for what it's worth.
I guess they survive then.
Well, yeah. I imagine that the discovery, way back when, that grapes grew on our land was what started this discussion.

I suggest we at least try to grow some grapes, and go from there.

I dislike making our fortress life based, we have dwarf god that can arm us with a nice set of mechanical weapons that are not so  vulnerable as alive things. (and not need to eat) IMO, Most of armaments should be mechanical and stems are quite enough to man them. No need for new solutions when old work too.
I agree.

Quote
And my focus is not on weapons but airbase role. Workshops\living chambers\breading pits\munition storages
The two are not mutually exclusive. I'd like both.
My ideal image of the floating fortress is an armed arcology, ideally with some extra workshops and such.

NSCP-011: A statue made of what appears to be concrete. It vaguely resembles a humanoid with an oversized head, and has been spray-painted yellow. NSCP-011 appears to possess qualities similar to SCP-███, which it resembles. It is considered highly dangerous; no personnel entering NSCP-011's containment chamber are to do so in groups smaller in number than three, at least two of which must be making constant eye contact with the NSCP at all times.
Incident 011-006: During a containment breach on 2/5/██, NSCP-006 somehow breached containment not only of its own containment unit but that of NSCP-011. 006 seemed unaware of the nature of 011 and was swiftly terminated. This lead to █ injuries and a revision of the containment procedures for humanoid NSCPs.

PAP TOPHAT ON SNOUT
GENTLY.

(antagonizing you has become the best idea i have for actions nowadays)
(Invisible text? Cool!)
*reads transparent text*
Also pap LordSlowpoke on snout. HARD.
[1] LordSlowpoke smears mushy food on his own nose. [5v4] TopHat's brains form more pap to strike LordSlowpoke's face, hard.

BOSS TURN:
The Dark Lords and the Lichs pause to summon minions. [5,6+1,6,4,6,4] The Dark Lords summon a thousand orcs (okay, just 886, but "a thousand" is much more ominous), a huge swarm of Nazi Stormtroopers (about a million), a similar swarm of Imperial Stormtroopers, some [DATA EXPUNGED], Generic Minions, and twelve Death Eaters. Supplies become an issue. [4,1,6,5,2] The Lichette and Dirg summon a dozen drunken fools, which cause as much harm as good, while the other liches summon Corai, Corai, ZombieCorai, and a rampaging silver golem.
The Foundation [5] files several new NSCPs:
NSCP-011 (see above)
NSCP-012, a scimitar which cuts the user the same way said user cuts an enemy.
NSCP-013, a set of thirteen sticks with anomalous properties allowing the users to control various aspects of reality. Currently uncontained, as the sticks' current owners are unwilling to part with them.
NSCP-014, a strange device consisting of a 3*4*7 meter box with about █50 cubic meters of additional machinery attached. It can transform items somehow.
NSCP-015, a species of spider which lays eggs in sleeping peoples' eyeballs and, as it matures, replaces said eyeball and controls the host.
NSCP-016, a largely indestructible and omnicidal cephalopod showing adaptive capabilities. Compared to SCP-███. Suggestions to attempt to use NSCP-016 and SCP-███ to terminate each other upon establishing contact with the main Foundation immediately suggested.
NSCP-017, a large hostile humanoid composed of silver.
NSCP-018, a mirror which creates clones of people who look into it. Such clones can only be removed by the cloned individual. Dr. Bright forbidden contact with NSCP-018.
Attempts to utilize the unique abilities of SCP-076-2 and NSCP-007 [2+2+1v2+2] successful. NSCP-005 contained.

This game does involve some RP between characters. Answering IC comments with OOC remarks tends to cause annoyance in other players and a deep desire to murder you - which if you haven't notice is likely to happen since you're screwing off more than you are helping. In fact you've done more detrimental effects to the rest of us than anything beneficial
I was the first one to find ANYTHING in the catacombs, recall?
...and the books were an accident, caused by a bad roll...and I have tried to fix it...and I'm having trouble coming up with an IC way of expressing that argument...

What happen to just turning this castle as a forward base of operation in war time? Right now your sounding like you want it to be a weapons platform.
The two aren't mutually exclusive, you know.

Attach smaller islands to the main fortress. The small islands will be weapons platforms and docks for flying creatures. In fact, shape it like a chaos star. Each spike is another island coming off the main body.
Patience, Grasshopper.
...But yes. If we don't make it like this to start, we can add new islands later, or make a horizontal tree to build from, or something.

PMed my spell. (write that in my journal if useful) Centipedes are attracted to my coolness obviously.
You shout the spell. [20!+2,12+1] You summon a weird magnifying glass, with a mark on each of three sides. One side has a strange symbol on it, one has a branching symbol on it, and one has a cloaky symbol on it. [12+2,4+1] You then create what seems to be some sort of fishtank. You feel an odd sensation in your mind, like you can do something new.
You decide that, whatever this is, you'll pass on the opportunity to scribe this into your journal...

Check Umbrella and wand. Regain mana by mediation maybe.
(You regain 1 mana per turn. Guess I didn't make that clear.)
You fiddle with your wand, noting again its unusual length and how nicely polished it is. Around the middle are six runes: φ Θ ⌂ α ╒ ô The band, a nice rose gold one for your rosewood wand, has a single flowery shape on it, with a single petal jutting off, pointing at the ⌂. As you fiddle with it, you notice something you've never noticed before: The band can rotate! You click it over to the φ rune before deciding that it has some kind of purpose, although what it is you can't imagine...
Level Up! New Ability: Aura. A slight aura of shimmering energy surrounds you. All attacks take a -1 penalty to hit.

Examine my wand/other gear
write spell down
command avian to cease it's attack while pointing my wand at. It

You, too, note similar things--the wand's strength, rusted iron band, six runes, sideways spike (pointing at the ╒), discovery that the band rotates, soon ending on the ô rune.
The creature, which needs a name, refuses to respond.

Quote
(I'm guessing my wand has a preference for creating beasts?)
Not originally...and not the reason.

"Yeah, I could do the whole alliance thing. Especially seeing as I seem to have little offensive power."
Put on fleshy breastplate, then if possible put on silvery breastplate on top. Inspect starting gear. Ask breastplates what they can tell me.
You slide the fleshy breastplate over yourself, feeling a wave of gratitude and joy wash over to you from it and a little bit of disgust well up from inside of you once you feel its flesh against yours. [Tails] As it is a breastplate, you can't really fit it over yourself--the other breastplate, you mean. You glance over your wand, same runes, on the Θ, move it to the ╒, yadda yadda.
Sadly, with a crowbar in one hand and a wand in the other, there's really no way to carry the floating breastplate. However, you suspect that you could sort of nudge it with your head...or something...

This man is unfit to be the master of a noble creature such as myself...
"Scraaaaaaw!"
Fly at Javier C's wand and swallow it. Tear off and swallow the hand too if that's what it takes.
The strange beast leaps and soars towards Javier's wand arm. [6v2] It rips at the mage's wand hand, [1d8=6] causing a lot of blood drain. [Tails] While the wand is too long to fit in the creature's gullet, it can (and [19v6] does) grab it with its weird spiderleg things and yank the wand out of the wizard-to-be's grasp. It, that is to say you, feel an odd surge of energy...

-----

Discovery! The wands seem to have six runes which probably change something! Whether this will help those locked in mortal combat with deadly beasts will be seen.
The giant centipede attacking the Archmage leaps forth and
[9+1v11-1] just scrapes its mandibles across the Archmage's form, [1d10+1:3] causing a deep gouge and a burning sensation. [11-2-1,1d4:2] The Archmage feels himself stiffen...
Meanwhile, the monstrous spider fighting the young girl creeps forward, not certain if it was noticed yet. Clair can just see the outline of a magical circle...
The
Ursa squeezes through the arch of choice.

-----

Good job, y'all! Javier C and Clair get bonuses to Experience! Because Clair noted her wand specifically, as opposed to including it as part of an "Anything I have" statement, she shoots up to 2nd level! Pick a stat to increase by 1.
Meh, I'm feeling generous. Jane gets a little EP, too.
Oh, and just a note: Opposed Quickness rolls will be used to determine the order of actions if it ever really matters.
javierpwn or Wwolin, could you name the unnamed critter?
...I think that's all of note. Let me know if you spot any errors.
