Derm GWG before he derms me.
Derm Persus before he derms me.
Derm GWG before he derms me before I derm him before he derms me.
Derm Persus before he derms me. Because he will not have dermed me before I derm him.
Derm both of them.
At the same time.
Equally.
Synchronized.

Suggest an Enemy Mine solution to Persus.
Derm The Zoom Zoll.

Look around. Not at bright lights. Figure out what's around me. Ask someone for a toy, because I'm starting to get bored. Not that I say it like that, I say something like, "Can I pretty please have a toy someone?

((GLaDOS can probably hear me from here, right?))

i guess its fine for a one-way thing.
If you're fine with the destination also being screwed up. And don't care about the start point. And people let you near such a destructive device.

How many towns are there, other than Stanleyville?

Say abracadabra with malicious intent!
Then bash at the centipede again using my sledgehammer

[20!+1,4-2] Javier waves his wand and feels his power drain from him. A weird bearlike creature appears. It looks...mostly like a bear. It has a pair of batlike wings, however. Its shaggy fur also contains what seems to be more bats, whether growths on the bear or simply roosting there you're uncertain. The bats aren't normal bats either, oh no. They're warped bats. Some have wolflike snouts; some have tentacles growing from their faces; some have elongated snouts and large claws on their furry wings. The bear does not seem to be under Javier's control...on the bright side, you feel your wand's magic shift!

Alright then, lets try the word "Zap" on for size. Pointing at the centipedes with harmful intent, again.
[9+3,19+2] You summon another breastplate, this one seeming to be tarnished silver. It floats, before falling towards one of the centipedes and [4+2] causes the creature to shudder once, then die. Excellent.

((14 years))
((I had imagined her a few years younger. Thanks for the FYI.))

Quote
Pointing a wand at a centipede, Clair intone a incantation, hoping it will die.

"Caedis"((it latin for murder))
[9+3-1,5-2-1] A tiny glob of...something bubbly and molten-hot smelling like burnt hair, with chunks of glass holding bits of black stuff within forming from the bubbles, appears above Clair's head. [14+1] She dodges, and notes that the glob seems to be cooling into a bunch of stony strands in airy arcs, while the dark stuff seems to be harmless. Probably. Whatever that was, your wand didn't seem to like it...

"No, Sashaaaaa!"
I thrust my wand at the offending centipede!
"Alakablowstuffup!"
[Heads] Said offending centipede was killed already, so the Archmage calms and decides to go for the other one. [4+2] Nothing happens.

((A level of -1? INFINITE LEVELS!
I don't see how that follows. It's two levels lower than y'all, which means you get 25%, one quarter what you would if you (say) overpowered the Archmage and slit his throat.

Quote
Meus grumbles and shakes the feeling off. He commands Tattletale to attack any remaining centipides. "Cmon Tattle, show these centipides who's boss!"
[5-2+2] Meus still feels pretty angered at everyone. He expresses this anger by ordering Tattletale to attack the last remaining centipede. [13+1v18+2] The beast neatly leaps out of the way.

Hm. I haven't said how big the room is. It's 15 feet from east to west wall (4.5 meters), and 20 feet (6 meters) from north to south.

The room gets a bit crowded as Javier proudly summons a mighty bear, likely a head taller than a grizzly if it was to stand up, with copper-colored fur, batlike wings, and shrieking hosts in its fur. Jane summons something a bit less terrifying: A silvery breastplate, which nevertheless seems to be capable of slaying upon contact.
The other spellcasters do little, at least little effective.
Meanwhile, the final remaining large centipede
[14-5] chooses to flee rather than fight the beasts present.
The five glance around nervously. Jane is distracted by her creation of last turn, which pleads for help. It seems so lonely and helpless. The others' focus is drawn to the giant winged bear for some reason.
[16] It glances around some before squeezing uncomfortably through the southern arch to the right, causing shrieks of protest to come from its fur. Incidentally, those bats do seem to be somewhat independent entities--some on the flanks leave the bear's fur while it squeezes through before returning to its warmth and safety.

-----

I'd like to make a few notes.
One, I have a bestiary in the OP.
Two, could javierpwn please name his creation?
Three, if you want to be able to replicate a spell's effect, write it down in your journal.
Four, I've thought over the ruling I gave on secret spellcasting and am going to amend it. You may choose to not "count" for determining if anyone can hear the incantation for when I'm posting, for one or all people. For instance, if Javier and Clair made an Alliance of Science, they could go to some distant room, choose to not "count" for each other, and cast spells without the incantations being known by anyone else. All it needs is a better description.
Five, this may be a good time to explore the arena, interact with others, or whatever.

Let me clarify. Build mine, complete and get up and running the mill, Tell the new captain to begin culling and breaking our militia and recruits into badasses and to utilize our obstical coarse and swim in the river while also training combat skills. Forge them into warriors.
Also hire anyone without work to do who is willing to do so to take some of the waste stone from the mine and make a gravel road by the docks and/or market.

They won't agree to be slaves and even if they do, they probably won't be serious.  I think it's better if we just kill all but one of them and keep that one as a slave.  Also if our host dies we might lose all our goblin followers.  Better to let our followers charge in and have some die while weakening the enemy before we step into combat ourselves.  Besides, its also arguably more evil.
+1

on a completely different subject.
We need heavy shock troops, correct? for most other uses we have the stems/saps (main troops), dragons (Heavy Air), drakes (Ground support), firejackets (Light air) and spiders (light round support).
Now, think of a tank. A Main Battle Tank.
Now, use life magic to create a bio-machine that looks and operates like a real life tank that can be manned by stems.
They could either fire shaped explosive charges (our alchemist is already making the explosives) or fire flames or spores from its cannon.
It's heavy armour (heavier if we clad it in steel over the hull) would be good against the hoards of he EoT and Maher.
Even if we accept your premise ("We need tanks"), why would we make bio-machines?
We could make them fully biological, which removes the need for Stems to man it and also fits with our current feats better (not to mention isn't so anachronistic).
We could make them fully mechanical, reducing complexity and maintenance as well as protecting them from death magic.
Making them a weird hybrid gives them the weaknesses of both and few advantages of either.

About the trogs, how about instead of making them like serving us just make them enjoy working hard.  Sort of like how dwarves are industrious, these could be similar.  It doesn't force them to work for us or to perform specific tasks but it does make them try their best at everything they do which would make them good citizens.
I can dig it
I like the idea of making them motivated, or high achievers. Rather than restricting their abilities, it encourages them to reach higher and higher, helping them improve their position. I approve.

One last question (for now): How on Earth can plants feed off of metal, or off of concrete but not stone?

There is a lot of mutation going on, including the creatures and the plants. Some plants have found ways to survive without sunlight, living off electricity, metal, concrete... some, even flesh. The rest who were not mutated died, leaving the world a very strange and unpleasant place.
Hm. Where's the electricity coming from?

If the sun has been blotted for all these years, how can anything survive?

-----

Name: George Gerhardt
Appearance: This gentleman reminds you of a lost and wandering spirit. He has slanted green eyes that are like two clumps of moss. He is mostly bald, but used to have silky, wavy, black hair. He is tall and stooped with age. His skin is nut-brown. He has large feet. His wardrobe is tattered, with a lot of brown and black.
Background: George is an old man. When the bombs fell, he was barely in grade school; memories of the sun and grass still linger in his dreams. While George grew into manhood, he grew tall and very strong as he needed to, to combat the myriad dangers. He grew famed as he grew old, took a wife, had four children. Just a decade and a half ago, all that was ripped from him. Zombies attacked his tribe, scattering it. One by one, the dangers of the wild picked off the other survivors in his fragment of the tribe until only George was left. He knows his wife and at least two children are dead, but as to his other children and most of his grandchildren, he knows not. George wants to unite the survivors of his family and tribe if possible, and if not to die a death which leaves him remembered. These goals are secondary to making the world better for what survivors he can find, however.

I take it we don't get to keep our words secret this game?
You can, if you get far enough away from other people. If you get two or three rooms from any other players' characters, PM'd words will not appear in the text. As you're all in the same room, though...

Anyway, if possible, grab the breastplate without getting in range of any of the centipedes.
They're distracted, but no, not really.
