Which is a weakness with shapeshifters; either they show up as a stranger, or they take the place of a person who's still around and probably do a poor job of imitating him/her. The influence fungus or whatever sound more versatile. Here's a compromise; turn those trogolodytes into chameleon doppelgänger things to be our spies.but we already have a spy. I think.

*Raises shield*
Dat elf god........
Just remembered his sphere switched to peace right? Another aspect of elven culture!
You guys suck.
And the Eladrin are not elves!

Anyways, I'd like to see how the race I made reacts to me. If they don't like me, I'll try being a benefactor to the Squiddles, and if THAT fails one of the human nations, and if THAT fails, I'll make a new race.

« on: January 30, 2013, 08:25:07 pm »Also I hope that "whatever we need" is not a fighter or a skillmonkey or we did something very wrong.I'll approximate an arcane spellcaster's "blasty" function as much as possible (AKA be a DPR kind of guy). I'll try to be flexible though, he he.
Ability Score Rolls
8, 12, 12, 12, 13, 17
Lots of mediocrity.
Are we supposed to roll for HP past 1st level, or do we get full?
Spoiler: Description (click to show/hide)
For reference, The Evolutionist.
And, finally...The third character!
PS: Try not to create a character while staying up-to-date on what's happening in the forums...

« on: January 30, 2013, 07:15:47 pm »True but not germane. He claimed that drakes attacked every day. IRL, big predators don't even eat every day, let alone eat the dwarves every day, which is heightened in cold-blooded predators. Since most dwarven settlements wouldn't be in the hunting range of more than a few big predators, period, drake attacks would be weekly at the very most, even assuming the drakes only ate dwarves.Reputation here is key. There aren't that many drakes! They can't be attacked more than normal when normal is being attacked everyday.(Do they have the drakes attacking them?)No more so than normal.
It's a normal jungle. It has scary predators, but they're not particularly antipathetic towards dwarves.
You have shit reputation, no offense.
I find that claim dubious at best.Reputation here is key.I think I know what the first words of the diety of death will be, "I really need to talk with Neyravah. That Elder God has killed the most creatures on the planet, despite, maybe in spite of, having the sphere of life."
You have shit reputation, no offense.

Lucien is such an adorable little creator of crimes against nature...
Wouldn't that make it kosher to directly cast on the god itself?
And of not, what makes making an avatar a way to game the system?
If you look back he said as long as we refrain from directly casting on his followers :3 We aren't directly casting on them if we're channeling our power through an avatar plus the skeletons and zombies we'll fight aren't his followers are they?Ah.

Whatever we do, it should at least be able to subtly affect the behavior of the host if not have outright control when needed. In a previous post, I already gave an example of a real life organism that affects the host's brain without killing them or causing any real damage. Also this is a god game, so we can make it the way we want it.Well, I agree. However, a compromise is forged from everyone giving up something.
Now, now, they're not so bad. Just arrogant. This new guy's probably had a lot of successes, makes him feel cocky.Damn elf god.The dwarves gave them to us.
In other news, I missed where we got the troglodytes from. When were they introduced?
And does anyone else hate those damn hippie elemental sphere elves?

« on: January 30, 2013, 07:11:30 pm »Let's set up a wargame!+1
Maybe scatter the troglodites through the forest for starters and have Leto catch them?
This new god must not be too intelligent if he's so quick to insult a god he has little to no knowledge of whatsoever.I suggest we show off some of our creations, such as our dragons and perhaps Leto. That'll show him...

Hate to bring it up again but please try and open up trade with Maher. We don't need to be best buddies with him but trade would increase our wealth and remove a potential enemy. Also at least he was respectful to us unlike this other god. We'll see how he feels about us later, give him a chance to be a helpful or at least a respectful neighbor and if not we could always "remove" him as we grow in power.Agreed. Just because we aren't the friendliest on personal terms doesn't mean we can't have our citizens trade. China and the US have some...differences, but they're big trade partners. Tune up the dissatisfaction and tune up the trade, and that could be us.

« on: January 30, 2013, 05:42:28 pm »Oh.That was actually a legitimate suggestion, not an argument. I thought you would know my tendecy to try and do things like that when I play god-games.How about we start kidnapping people, altering their minds to obey us, and send them back. Why? Because fuck being nice. What is wrong with this argument?
Oh yeah, it's a blatant combination of the Strawman fallacy and the Slippery Slope fallacy.
In that case, no.

« on: January 30, 2013, 05:35:56 pm »Irrelevant. You were...I misunderstood the question.Yes, but does Ciro remember being male? She doesn't seem too startled by the new body, if she doesn't know she was a guy, the whole drag statement would be fairly confusing.Ask why this guy seems to think you're in drag?He knew you when you were a guy and now you are wearing a dress. Somehow, "drag" seems more likely than "postmortem Gender Bender."
+1I'm with both of you on this one.I believe that Ciro just doesn't give a shit and wants to find Ritalia as soon as possible.
Yeah, but some exposition would be nice so we know how much we remember.
I do want to hear how much Ciro can remember, but more than likely she just doesn't consider suddenly waking up a different gender all that pressing of a matter, given that the option to do so was available in every shop. Besides that, she seems to be either recovering memories from before he lost them the first time and/or getting them mixed up with Mili's. I'm guessing more of the former than the latter though.
>So yeah, another +1 to exploring the greens and attempting to get our head straightened out.

Fungi can also grow on/in live things, and worms in dead ones. Your point?Yes well fungi grow on dead things and I for one would like living spies(First person who mention the zombie ants should think of what they are about to type.)How about a parasitic worm that can use it host senses and take a small amount of nutriment from it host but otherwise unnoticeable. No mind control, give us spies and the other gods will be none the wiser.Sounds good. Not ideal, but acceptable.
I think it would make sense to use fungi of some sort, since we already have made symbiotic fungus but not worms of any kind.

« on: January 30, 2013, 05:24:09 pm »GWG it'll help because Maher see's this as a game against an enemy he wants to savor beating, a physical form we can possess will allow us to wreak havoc without breaking the 'rules' Maher put in place. We know he won't break his own rules, first because he would have done so by now if he would, but secondly because he savors the game to much, keep him playing, keep within the rules, and he cannot directly harm us or our followers with his powers which outnumber ours by far even in our current state. This assumes that Maher would see destroying the avatar as a direct attack on us, as opposed to destroying a creation, as well as assuming that Maher would stick to the rules when we aren't.
