That states that it was an accident, sort of, while making it sound a precious thing. Which it seriously is. This is one of the most beautiful things Chaos can do.

I agree with GWG that upkeep for followers is odd. Our magic users, fine the make sense, keeping our existence, also good, Humans that are not using our power and no one made, What? Why?.If it was needed for game balance, I'd understand that, but it actually ruins game balance...
It's not that your followers are stealing your mana. It's that you are made from the existence of people who believe in you. Basically, a portion of their minds is always focused on you, and you are the power of that collective portion. The upkeep is supposed to make it so that once we get to 200 some population, you don't all have fuck-tons of mana. Which you will probably have anyways....
Draco, the reason you had so little worship is twofold; one, I didn't realize what my upkeep increase would change completely, and so did not correct it with an equal amount of lowering followers for devils/increasing for gods. And also mortals are ungrateful bastards.SO WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!
Which is roughly 1058 GP for everyone, with one extra left over.Give it to Blace as a tip.

And I'll need to cut off my healing miracles if I want to avoid falling asleep this turn or next rather than in four turns, so there's that...
Even when you're asleep, your minions can still act.Which gives me 10 that I can count of for certain once I stop doing anything.
I give that big upkeep for a reason; it forces you all to either compete for worshipers, which I haven't been keeping track of the distribution of populations as I should, or to all work together and try and get very devoted followers.Gee, like I haven't been trying to do that already.
And no, the Synod would not count as a Pantheon. Yet. Think about what the four guys who made one did to become one. They helped each other in visible ways, in the game, not simply talking things over, agreeing, and the like. Though you might end up forming a Pantheon with Jebyg and some others, should you continue to quarrel; Ra and Set were enemies, but part of the same pantheon.Joy. And irony.
Oh, and a note for the Pantheon. It's a bad idea to let another member die. It will result in Fun.Good to know.
GWG, make your followers have a day of fasting, where they spend all day praying to you!Would that actually do anything? Aside from alienate some followers, I mean.
