jbg, i have to interfere with your thing. Even if he disappeared from your board you don't know where he is...DH specifically posted from "Divine Eyes and Senses" so you can't even see him...or feel, at least not without the major investment of power from your side, which you currently dont have...
He dissapeared from the board, I could go to the last location he was at before vanishing, then find the source of the screeching, the giant fighting the dwarf. And if he is invisible to me, i'd know he is there from the giant's interaction. I could talk to him (in the physical world, not psychically), but only be able to sense him only if he replys.
Also, you'd be able to look at the ground. You can't see the dwarf, but you can see the impressions his boots make on the grass. And you could communicate through writing.

I tried to make this post twice now. All nice and pretty, individualized treasures and the goddamn thing didn't save.

Here's 21,114 gold pieces to divide evenly.
:'(

A bit over 3,000 GP? Hm. What could I get with that...

I see the werewolves more like our hammer if we are going to use them for spec-ops. We need something which can be used as scalpel that can be used for precise strikes and then disappear like a ghost. Perhaps we can just use slenderman with just some camouflage.
Any reason we couldn't train the werewolves to be scalpels?

On the topic of life and camouflage, I would like to being to light the friggin unnatural camouflaging abilities of the octopus.
Ah, yes, the octopus. My favorite animal. We must get a seaside city sometime, both for octopi and sea turtles.

Name: Maxine Squall[/abr]
Description: This girl reminds you of a placid lake. She has almond-shaped orange eyes that are like two rising suns. Her silky, curly, white hair is worn in a style that reminds you of a rocky outcropping. She is very tall and has a voluptuous build. Her skin is pale. She has thin lips. Her wardrobe is businesslike.
Sex: Female
Backstory: Maxine was a sailor's daughter. Her mother disappeared unexpectedly when she was 11, and after that her father didn't feel safe in letting Maxine stay at home alone when he was sailing, so she was brought along. The other sailors didn't much appreciate this, due to the superstition that bringing a woman aboard a ship was bad luck, but they understood his reasoning. Granted, storms seemed to be attracted to their ship whenever Maxine was aboard, but those same storms also lingered over whatever port she was in at the time. Whatever that had to do with anything. It only took a few months before these storms wrecked the ship. Maxine was placed in a buoyant crate of supplies by her father when the ship's mast was snapped; she fell asleep after a while, wondering if the ship was OK. She awoke with the world not rocking like the ocean. Maxine would have probably been executed, but one of the Cabal's members took pity on her for her to tell her tale. Then one of the Cabaliers noted that a storm had rolled in shortly after they scooped up those goods from the wreck...Long story short, she's become an apprentice to make her useful while the Cabal tries to figure out how to study her storm-attracting ability.

Actually, we just killed seven of them, we should have some of their armour lying around.  Get some of the more combat hardened mages to dress up as them and go kill some orcs.  Or we can just create something with innate magical powers that look like Justicar boons.
At some point, it's probably not worth it.

Dratf 3:
Critiqeus 3:

Quote
1) Grant Eldrick a minor chaos boon, plant mutation one, added to his plant creation
2) Grant him all mage kids as apprentices\assistants and give them minor plant boons to speed up the education and boost their natural power.  Also, by using their own power, they can do more things with that minor boon than any other worshiper. And those kids can provide quite an assistance for farmers later (kids are useless otherwise) Also give every farmer a minor boon ( up to ten farmers) We shall consider taking those away after we'll do the landscape improvement
3) Grant  Azula chaos shield boon (shield that turns hostile elements into unharmful ones)
4) Grant her 4 volunters, preferably  females  as apprentices and grant them minor fire boons.
5) Start digging Tunnel to the dwarves,  Ask for Uristiel participation to make this a joint project.... It should begin after our lines of defense
6) Eldrick, Plant magekids  and farmers do a massive landscape designing : Assist in the tunnel construction, expand the rosebush (or raise several new in new places, especially along the roads), grow wood for the construction (or palisade directly), make our village prettier. Make new plots for new crops\just plant more of existing
And start a grassy road to the Ceres
Surely, kids should be watched by adults and don't work on potentialty dangerous things like rosebushs... But kids are creative and may do something interesting. and they have raw power to do simple things using more power than boon grants
Still no complaints.

Quote
7) Eldrick, alchemist and a bit of Donut's help are trying to do new trops
a) One that can be processed  into a very flammable oil,
b) One that have poisoned darts\arrows\javelins\spears as fruits
c) One that can be procesed to natural glue
d) One that will have wheellike fruits from light, woodlike material, that can be either turned into shield or into wheel with minor effort from capenter ( we need shields for our stems)
e) One that can be processed  into luxury food\spices for trade
f) One that extract the tiniest pieces of metals from soil (including manarack) and concentrate them in their roots\fruits
g) luminescent fungi
May combine some of them into one plant
Or whatever else ideas they come to
A seems almost redundant; G should wait for collaboration with Serena.

Quote
8) Fire mages should train and improve numbers of our fire jackets in process ( Basically they should use firejackets for  target practice). Or help in civilian jobs, when fire is needed
9) Other villagers should start building a palisade, permanent market, setup the landmines and do other stuff
10) Save at least 300 mana always
No opposition here.

Quote
11) Do a major troop  raising
a)  Create some  angels for the afterlife
b)  Find and convert some kid moles to kid  firemoles, that should be cheaper then doing new adult moles
c) Gather together that moles, firedrakes younglings and whatever cattle our village has ( may even buy some young animals in Ceres)  And feel the area with Life magic area. Idea is to make them adult instantly
d) Creat giant grasshoppers to act like our cavalry units (and fast transport)
e)  Create immobile iron beings of fire, powered by fire magic and ,maybe a bit of manarack. Our damned turret: Small iron box with fire inside, can shoot rays of fire through any of the holes it have. ( one top and 4 on the sides). May also shoot clouds of ash. ( The box itself isn't hot if it doesn't want to. Light enough to be put on the backs of the firedrakes ( see what I want to do?)
If granted a levitation can use rays of fire as jet propulsion
Needs fuel to act and function , but doesn't die without it, only hibernate.. (Fuel is burned instantly when put inside, and just add to the heat reservoir that can be realized any time firecube desires)
I propose to add a bit of manarack, to make that turrets better
Also, note that those will be a nice turrets for the turrets
Also, it's a nice source of fire, way to store fuel and a wastebin for civilian purposes
Also it's ash is meant to be a good fertlizier
f) Talk to werewolfs and try to make them our worshiper, if they are too stupid for this - raise their intelligence. Also add them resistance to poisons, infra vision (ability to see heat) and ability to reproduce naturally ( It sucks to reproduce only by bite, no own chldren)
I hope D works, would suggest something less exactly-turrety (to fit with Life better) for E, and suspect that the werewolves are already pretty smart.

Quote
While I like turtles, before making our heavy tanks, let's concentrate on medium tanks (firedrakes)
They're more like warships, actually. We don't have a navy yet, let alone a navy which self-replicates and can mimic small islands when grown enough...

Quote
BTW, yes, check all that equipment left from Juticars, some may be quite interesting
At least for saps
Agreed.

Sounds neat. Although I'd suggest that "what life does best" is more like Reproduction or Adaptation than camouflage. Life does camo well, but it does other stuff better.
Out of curiosity, did Slenderman have hand grenades or sniper rifles?
However, like UkRa, I suspect that such a being would sound much cooler than it is and/or be horribly inefficient, especially since we already have SpecOps folks.

Retroactively hack the game so enemy Jarates put you out.

"Thanks, Sniper! I was on fire from proving the GM wrong!"

Cloak.
Take evasive maneuvers to throw them off my trail.
Use Your Eternal Reward on the sniper, whose Razorback is one-use and hence won't be useable again.
Steal his weapons and hat, to complete the disguise.
Oh, while I'm at it, grab a health kit.

Respawn as Attention Grabber Man.
Grab attention, then eat it.

[3] You yell.

Type 'cup of tea' and drink it.
[6] It's truly wonderful tea. You feel really sad that you'll never have another like it. THIS IS SURPRISINGLY BORING. [1] Tara tries to make you feel better by hugging your throat. You can't breathe.

"I'm gonna get my revenge...." *Yawns* Fall asleep in the hole I fell in for a little while.
[5] You have a nice, restful nap. Congrats on wasting a 5. You dream of juice.
That made me lmao.
Wake up, feel guilty trying to eat the fairy, climb out hole, Apologize to Mercer and fairy, then get a massive hangover.
[2] You're still asleep. [5] You avoid dangerous fates, and start to wonder if the juice is real...

Look around. Don't respawn yet.
Hm. You seem to be in [2] Purgatory. Aw.

Obtain Diving Gear
[6] You obtain an old-fashioned drysuit...which turns out to be possessed.

GM TURN:
The Shadowdragons [1] merge into a ShadowBomination. It looks sorta like a normal person of unusual size, but with an atrophied person hanging off its abdomen by the shoulder.
The diving suit [1] trips. Ha ha!

Make a monster of some kind. Or mix different monsters to make a new kind of monster.

Or hit the "Random" button on Wikipedia.

I just had an idea for the plot. I've only caught up to the top of the 50th page, but how about the tutorial quests?

1--PC wakes up with amnesia. As is standard protocol, s/he is sent to a village elder. Teaches movement and such.
2--PC reaches the elder. S/he is told to go search the forest for some berries, learning combat.
3--The elder makes muffins. While they cook, the PC is sent to exterminate some rats in the basement. These include rats, giant, rats, fire rats, rat swarms, miniature rats, etc. When they get 10 rat tails (drop rate 10%, or 25% for swarms), the PCs return to the main house.
4--The elder asks why it took so long to kill 10 rats; the PC says that surprisingly few rats HAD tails. The elder acts shocked, and sends the PC to kill a goblin chief in the forest and bring his amulet to see if s/he is really a hero. The goblin chief is weaker than the warrior goblins and wonders why people keep trying to kill him. Some time during this quest, the first other party member joins.
5--Upon being brought the amulet, the village elder teaches the PC some pivotal technique that will be a major part of his/her toolbox/arsenal. He then gives the PC muffins, a minor healing item, and offers to make any more berries the PCs find into muffins.
6--To help deal with a warlord in the region (a flunky of the real Big Bad), the elder reccomends the PC get the Holy Log of Ämireña, the dead elven nation. It turns out to be a weapon about 2-3 times the size of an elf, and very heavy (penalties to speed, but lots of damage)
7--The PC is sent to the warlord's castle. After many battles, they discover that the warlord has a powerful magic ring reducing the damage he takes; out of the weapons they have, only the Holy Log deals enough damage. The debuffer guy and such need to tie down the warlord while the PC smacks the warlord with the log.
8--The elder belatedly remembers to teach the PC a spell he could use with the Holy Log. It's impressive, but requires the Log to be used and the PC isn't any good at magic so they leave it behind.
9--The plot begins. The elder acts as though the warlord was the final boss.
10--Eventually, the Holy Log is retrieved for a more powerful mage to use on the Big Bad.

Thoughts?
...

How about this.
The warlord you defeat in the tutorial is initially made out to be the BB, but obviously isn't since you defeat him pretty early on. You discover hints in town (delivered by a gold-eyed man?) about Derm, who sounds like a bad guy. You investigate, and either get Derm to join you or drive him off*. Then, you discover something that suggests that a lich in this big tower in Roll to Dodgia is the BB, and Derm was trying to destroy said lich in ways that confused me given their collateral damage. Once you reach the tower, though, Dirg and the lich(ette) have kicked off the huge civil war between themselves, the Conservatives, me, bronies, penguins, dwarves, etc. After some side quests or something, Tim arrives and looks like an all-slaying Big Bad. However, it turns out that misko and the lichette/Dirg caused him to be here, so you need to enlist the help of the ponies or penguins to defeat one of them. Plot twist, Tim was lying and is actually the Big Bad, and manages to crush the surviving army with Xantalos's help and is about to destroy the world! You must have an item gained from defeating misko and one from the lichette combined by GWG and Aperture Science to protect you from Tim's OHK gun. Also useful will be the spell(s) from the Holy Log. Upon defeating Tim, the ghost of the warlord appears as a bonus boss.
*I seem to recall discussion about the possibility of Derm being defeated and befriended at differing points, being stronger the later you pick him up. If this won't be added, disregard the "or drive him off" bit.

Thoughts?

That's about all I've written.

36928
Just to point out, a while ago I did outline a bit of a plot over a couple posts, later quoted into one.

I'll see if I can find it.
