I never intend to sleep! ...And I'd fail on the roll even if I rolled a 6...Oh, and my luck would help.
Anyways, my plan is simple.
1. Try to avoid combat.
2. If I run into combat, use my speed, agility, and Luck to avoid getting hit.
3. Hopefully my Luck will give me a big advantage.
Well right now LCK determines how much loot you get from treasure and one other secret thing until you discover it. The way your character is now is.... like a thief. A really fast thief.
I will almost always go first and will dodge almost any blow. I don't need toughness.
...I hope.

Anyone interested in an alliance, I have a revolver after all...
Want to join ours?

The needles have melee use though D:. We can all live happy that Archuk has been avenged assuming this roll doesn't suck balls.
Yeah, yeah. But, seriously, what possessed you to destroy a weapon?
Quote
EDIT: Also You get whatever Billy drops assuming this roll is once again not terrible.
Good, because I'm unarmed. And injured.
Because BB guns are generally useless, except for light tissue damage, or in the most extreme cases some brain damage. Some giant arms length needles can poke someone's face in half. Or something.

Okay you know what I have no idea why I did that.

Edit: I asked GM myself, the needles have higher damage but a little lower range. I say totally worth it.
Well, problem.
I SUCK AT MELEE. THAT'S WHY YOU'RE GETTING THE CHAINSAW BACK.
Bad as BBs are, they're better than stern looks.

Bless bayonet to become holy bayonet.
Begin stabbing people.

[3] You mutter and pour holy water over your bayonet. Wait, where'd you get holy water?
...Meh, free bottle.
[4] You stab at [d9:3] Persus. [2] He is hurt.

Type 'fairy magic manual'.
[3] You get a neat little book. It is titled "Faerie Magick," and seems to be a chapter book aimed at 1st-graders or so. (As someone who has read a chapter book to a 3-year-old in one sitting, this makers sense to me.) Someone stumbles over, trying to grab Tara. You [5v1] stick out your leg, causing him to trip into misko's newest hole.

"Coooome back yous stu... uh.. stupid hairy! Let meh eat chu!" Yell that was trying to knock out the fairy with the bottle.
[2v4] Tara avoids getting eaten. [5v1] You trip into a deep hole! [3] You land on a soft cushion.

Keep running. Try to distract it with something.
[6] You know what would make a great distraction? Food! I wonder what Nyanfortresses eat...you? Worth a shot. Huh, turns out they do! The Nyanfortress is distracted! Respawn?

Ask for the hazmat suit and pick
[3] ONE AT A TIME. You get a handle (for a pick?) and a Geiger counter.

Apply green goo to dead body.
...[5v5] The result sucks itself and your hand into a Dimension of Things Best Left Undefined. [4] Your hand grows back, all silvery; tendrils of fleshy color are spreading over it. [5] You ponder this, then [3] kinda remember the grapple rules.

Respawn and type in Gas Mask
[5] You get a gask mask.

I DON'T REALIZE MY MISTAKE. KEEP DIGGING. DIG TILL I STARVE TO DEATH IF NEEDED WITH MAH BARE HANDS.
IF I CAN"T DIG KILL SELF.
So how ready is the facility in terms of digging?
Well, you're not sure. The first Facility is pretty much just some rooms. The second is a hole.
[5-1] You make a surprisingly good hole, despite the hardness of the rock. You get several inches before someone lands on you. [4] You're okay.

Spawn and type in 'Pick'. Dig a bunker.
[3] You get a rusty pick and [6-1] dig a bunker.

GM TURN:
The other ShadowDragon rushes over to ShadowDragon and [4+1v5] initiates a grapple. [3] ShadowDragon kinda remembers the grapple rules...

Bob pokes you in the eye while you sleep, you wake up screaming then die from the massive infection you recieved from the tiny bit of dirt trapped under his nail.

For protection! And for me to have something to do!(otherwise no point of being the captain in charge  :( )
Protection from what?

Besides its not like the militia can't do other things when there's nothing to fight(we ARE acting tike an engineer corps atm if you didn't notice; that leaves more people free to do essential stuff by having us do the grunt work).
Why not have them do that, and not work on making them an actual militia?

As for the comm tower, how is that NOT a good idea? people outside the colony(i.e. the dedicated mining base Zan wanted) can't exactly shout and be heard if something goes wrong, and I'm not sure what sort of comm system we have already so building a dedicated one should make that not an issue.
Fair point.

Why are people so focused on Udil?
Because he's awesome. He's a dwarf. He slew a T. rex by a different name with his bare hands. And he's challenged a god for revenge!
He's going to kill you. And I support him because you never accepted my avatar's invitation to tea!
Wait, wha?

-----

I imagine Neyravah as someone who really does want to help the dwarves, but doesn't comprehend mortals at all. He expected the dwarves to be glad that their dull barren rock was expanded, covered with jungle, and filled with mighty and marvelous beasts, forgetting that the mortal dwarves would probably die when they saw such beasts. I can't wait to see how the dwarves react to the "blessing" Neyravah gives to them--another example of a blessing which the dwarves likely won't appreciate.

36985
Neyravah looked upon Udil, whom the god had once imagined as his champion, with sorrow.

First, he appeared to Udil himself.
"Do not bother breaking the Emerald. You will not harm me as you wish to; it is connected to me less than a grandson is connected to his grandfather. In addition, you will anger your fellow dwarves; you cannot afford this."
Neyravah departed before Udil could respond.

That evening, Neyravah worked his way into the minds of every dwarf on the planet. In a dream, he told them the following:
"I am sorry for this jungle. I truly thought I was making your life better. I want to make it up to you. Any of you who wish to make amends with me will be rewarded, but with no further required action on your part."

Any dwarves who forgive Neyravah, if there are any, were changed into

Turn said dwarves into a new race which I will let the dwarves name (ideally the transformed dwarves themselves). The race will have the following characteristics:
-Tough, greenish-brown skin (almost like scales)
-Fingernails hardened into claws
-Increased strength, toughness, and healing rate
-A magic similar to that in Fangslayer, letting them slay the great beasts I made more easily
-Blood with a silverish gleam, which heals wounds of other dwarves
-Wings--only a couple feet long, but with additional magic large enough to let them fly
-A breath weapon, varying on the personality of the former dwarf

The following night, Neyravah returned to the dwarves to see how the blessed dwarves reacted to their new form.

((I'm fully willing to spend a Major Act on this.))

That's a T-Rex? I thought they were dog-sized rhino lizards.
Fangdrakes were stated to be enormous! What kind of dogs have you been spending time with?

36987
Why do we need a military?

Work on procuring fish tanks and try to find genetic information for any kind of aquatic creature I can.

"...Aha! The Aquatic Ape Hypothesis! ...Well, I'll look some more before relying on that."

If I can't find any aquatic creatures, try to find annelid or mollusk DNA or something. Use whatever DNA I could find and try to turn the creature into a tasty creature to grow and eat.

I dislike idea to move ourself undeground, we aren't dwarfs. We are  elves)
I don't think anyone was proposing we move everything underground. However, an underground chamber where we can grow stuff would be pretty useful, don't you think?

Quote
Ome thing to consider: Our forces (except some elite units)  are way, way, way too
a) melee
b) slow
c) alive
Hm...

Quote
First we need to make much more firejackets by producing excess heat. They are useful for economics, but they are good for combat, too. We need some to spare (BTW, why did they stop to increase their numbers? The tree of fire was made for that purpose)
Agreed. Making more firejackets improves both economic and military strength.

Quote
Secondly, we need soulless golems powered by fire magic (they need something burnable to eat), attacking with that fire. They shouldn't be alive. No life magic for them. Bonus if we can make them levitating (Krait's aid) and use jetlike propulsion. And if they will be childsized that's good, too. That's mean more of them. Such thing are impossible to kill by death or lightning and hard do crack by brute force. Hello, Maher
Excellent idea.

Quote
Thirdly.  We need to turn at least that 8 mage souls into booners , both for economical use ( plant) and pure combat. I don't get that antiboon movement at all... That's so much wasted potential. And they can be capable fighters (And motivated ones, they hate Justicars) 4 fire, 4 plant creaters. Nice magic support  for any combat. And useful in civilian life
No arguments here.

Quote
And fortifactions\fortifacation\fortifactions. That's better than troops for the defensive war.
Fortifications??

Quote
Use that rosebush to turn our land into boccage. It's damnedly bad terrain to advance through. Especially if boccage attacks you.
I'll take your word for it, because I'm not sure what a boccage is.

Quote
Upgrading chaos trees is also good
Old plain palicade can work, too
Land mines, pit traps with our spiders in them, poisonious plants

And don't forget about our flying fortress
All sounds good.

Oh no, our forces are too alive?
Given the number of death-based gods we face...it's a concern. At least make some more golems.

Quote
While golems might be nice, making thm eat flammable things, instead of just being animated by magic the same way Tiberius and Laskus are, is kinda unneeded.
Indeed. Stick a chunk of manarack in each.

Quote
We've gone up against Death Magic, true. Thwt's why we need synapse aura creature that suppress death magic in a field around them, like the opposite of those death fields the priest's had. But stronger. A lot stronger.
Hm...and what would the Life Field do when not supressing Death Fields?

Quote
We're a god of life. We shouldn't begin abandoning one of our domains, one of the most useful ones, msimply because we're facing something that has the opposite. You don't think we can't make trouble for death as much as it can for life? Should we give up Fire when going up waist Grumugga? Chaos when fighting Order? No. We use them to beat our foe's domain, by being clever, creative, and most of all, using overwhelming force in weak spots.
Don't abandon it, just don't overspecialize in it.

Oh and one more thing - why farm stems undeground, wasting huge resources to make that chambers,  if stems rise quite nicely in the forest?
The only resources we'd need to use would be making luminescent fungi, which would be useful in the flying fortress and for export to anyone who uses humans in their mines. And while the forest is nice, it's easier to wall off the village and the entrance to the Stem-Cave, letting us build huge forces back there.

I'd very much prefer to give every worshiper a boon just from a roleplay point of view and  as a way to get worshipers - Worship Donut, pray for him at least 20 minutes per day and you'll get a minor boon instantly! He shares the power he gets from us! Quite an attraction. Quite a difference from other gods. If that was a single player game I would did that long time before. But I am not gonna push it here
I quite agree with that point of view and am inspired to start a multiplayer game using the same mechanics. But I probably won't.

Quote
As for boons usefulness, I expect new creature from the alchemist pretty soon with high chance for success... His major boon has been active... hmmm. 2 days? Thats 8 mana.  plus one more day to finish  that's 12
IMO not bad to have a new creature for that cost, how do you think?
Agreed.
(I fully expect rate of discovery to drop later, but it'll still be decent.)

Quote
EDIT2: You know what would make a great spec ops creature?
You know what will make great spec ops? Werewolfwes... if only we had them....
And a head werewolf to train them...

Quote
Quote
Currently we're being overprotective of our worshipers because we have very few of them. We cannot afford to lose a single one.
It's not entirely true, when worshiper dies we lose only 1\3 of his mana  generation. ( that means 1 death - 1 mana daily) not something that can kill us. And get a soul to use as we please
Just to point out...Or.

^ The problem with werewolves their feral, they are also incapable of independent thought needed to make spec-op units more effective. Although they will make excellent flankers or calvary due to their speed.
Yup, Laskus has shown himself to be utterly inept at spec-ops, he so didn't come up with the idea of "poisoning" goblin supplies with spores and only kills, kills, kills.

Quote
What's wrong with Creating a reward system for our worshipers?
Rewards are for slaves\servants\serfs\kids\employees. Free people get rights.
...
No, we don't rewarding good (obedient)  behavior, we are returning mana back to community in form of boons if we think that it's beneficial for it... Don't act as a damned king
Well, we kinda are a king. And these people expect a king, most likely.
I suspect that there's a difference of opinion here, where both sides are right. One is thinking of what the people would be used to, the other of what they'd like most.
My opinion? Distribute plenty of power back, but tell the people that the great will be rewarded better than the terrible. Giving everyone equal power no matter their contributions breeds sloth and incompetence. It doesn't have to be orderly, but success, sacrifice, and such should be rewarded if we want to encourage that.
