We want to create things because we're CHAOS and LIFE. And BORED.

We need some staff, guys! As a sane Bay12er, I sppoint myself to the task.

Name: Dr. George Gerhardt
Gender: Male
Job: Doctor
Spoiler: Appearance: (click to show/hide)
Biography: Dr. Gerhardt always wanted to help people. He wound up here, "instead." He got an internship at the PRMA right out of medical school and worked his way up. Dr. Gerhardt mostly treats physical ailments, but over his 30-some years working at the Asylum he's learned a fair bit about mental illnesses as well. His greatest asset is his calm and detached demeanor; his greatest weakness is his aloof attitude. Dr. Gerhardt often points out that these two are one and the same.
Personality: Calm, intelligent, rarely surprised, sarcastic

we make some weaponry for our plant soldiers.
I'm not sure. I was just thinking, but since we have both the plant soldiers and the Fungus Spawn, we could use them as meatshields. The plant soldiers have Barkskin, and we really have no reason to care about the safekeeping of the Fungus Spawn. Therefore, we could use the Fungus Spawn as a screen, to discover any potentially deadly force (like the death auras around the clerics that Maher sent), and the use the plant soldiers to tank while the flamejackets can dive in and out, setting our enemies on fire, and generally remaining safe.
Just an idea.
Yes, but we need a smaller force behind the meatshields to do the most damage. Like some kind of hybrid of Jaguar and Fire, twisted into upright form and wreathed in flames while their fangs and claws inject a poison that cripples with pain akin to being melted alive from one scratch.
That seems kinda silly. Just make golems or giant armored praying mantises or something. Or, you know, more firejackets.

Earth magic allows mages to control the metals and rock of the earth, and will be uncommon to see
So...pretty rare, 1-2% of people tops? How strong are they--pebbles or mountains? How precise-can they create a suit of armor or just crush it? How versatile--telekinesis, shaping, transfiguration?

Quote
A populace more attuned to war, and more willing to become soldiers; whilst those who are soldier will fight till their last breath.
Hm...probably 1-2 points. 2 makes them pretty much unaffected by most anything short of, you know, actually skewering them with various types of sharp sticks.

Still wrong side.
What, I can't be my own team?

Earth magic(metals) (?)
Culture military defined (valor) (?)

Would like input on ?'s
It depends.

How common is Earth Magic and what all can it do?
What are you intending to "get" from being a militarily-defined culture with valor?

Name: Gim.
Side: C
Skill: Commander (Flanged Mace, hoping for a Large Shield)

Use magic to remove obstruction and open door simultaneously. (Presumably with explosive force...)

5 plantations: 0.05 of a hex, 5 net food production, 10 IUT to build.
1 village: 0.05 of a hex, 3 net food production, 15 IUT to build.

Think about that.
Villages also produce Industry. It's probably worth the loss of two food and the extra IU/T.

I agree with making a new foodsource critter of some kind. Once we do that, we just need to increase our worshippers and the supply of the creatures we already have.

That. Was. Awesome.

I suggest we make something from a fly to feed the spiders. Close to their natural prey, feed on refuse, and fast-reproducing.

Then we work on improving our town.

Okay, about 10% of your people have access to a reliable and moderately powerful yet very limited form of magic...let's say 3 points.
