I understand. And yeah, it kinda failed...Looking at it differently, it is discouraged to take apart others' creations. Not that that helps. Not that anyone actually listened to that advice and ate all my shit, no i will not let it go!
Okay then. Here's some ideas.Depends on the intended setting. The setting is supposed to be a static medieval world. Think your average fantasy setting.
Neat.Speaking of resources, are resources placed then towns, or are towns placed and then resources assigned to them?Resources are placed randomly when placing biomes. It is based on the scarcity parameter.
Towns are then placed afterwards, again randomly for now.
The idea is then that towns "gather" whatever resources they are in range of. The towns then get an even share of all the resources. If only one town is in range of a resource, the town gets all the output.
My plan for today is to implement and expand a bit on this system, perhaps even make resources actual entities.
Simple. Geosynchronous satellites, beaming power to each other and the surface; or additional power stations at other Lagrange points; or multiple bases receiving power. Okay, none of those are cheap, per se, but they're effective.Beaming back power doesn't work all the time. You'd need to set up relays for when the base is on the other side of the planet. (Because planets rotate around their axis, while the Lagrange point stays where it is.)1 advantage to the rotating space station is that it can move from place to placeNot a big advantage over planetary bases, which have craptons of resources and nice Lagrange points which require minimal adjustment. Put some solar panels out there for Mars, beam the power back, bam! Power crisis solved.
not enough energy -- go closer to the sun.
Not enough matter go closer to sources of matter.
It's an advantage, though.
is there anything saying Minotaur's are sociable? Maybe they are not, in just why they are in the maze? The original Minotaur was one-of-a-kind and imprisoned there. DF minotaurs? Who knows. Maybe they like living in mazes.
Why would Minotaur's want to live with other Minotaur? Why do humans want to live with other humans? Oh, and the apostrophe is for possessive nouns and contractions only.
Why assumed Minotaurs like wearing amour? Maybe they believe its for the weak races and they dont need it?They're supposed to be armed and armored to make up for the fact that they're just over 1/40th the size of the other semimegabeasts. Also, they're smarter than said other beasts. Minotaurs aren't realy the "Honor Before Reason" type the way I see them. They're smart enough to realize that horns and size don't mean much against solid steel.
I'll give you the vampire thing, how ever that's ONLY if he decides to make vampires "mindless beast" (in terms of needing blood) or civilized people. Both work, but you need to pick one and stick to it, or divide them in a way that is clear. I.E this one blood line is the "feral" ones, more stronger, but cant control and the other is more civilized. Why? Why can't there be a middle ground?
Why unnecessary? The farthest I would go would be a choice. So the game announces that technically your old self has been erased, but you can still continue. After all, the logic of this relies on what you are. That sounds good but unnecessary.
The game should change, not end. After all, a being of such power is rarely made by chance...Certainly change. It already does; you start killing everything instead of going around and killing stuff. There's not a big difference, but once social stuff comes into play your husk is going to be handicapped.
