Don't. Even assuming that that doesn't mean building a pyramid out of your own flesh and blood.

Geez, do we need an OOC thread for EVERY thread in this subforum?

It's my nature.

Sorry about making you look up "windpipe." Would you have known what a trachea is?

Did you read the mission alert? It was noted there.

Remaining silent and letting someone else answer is an acceptable answer, too.

The worst thing that can happen is we act like a gremlin and pull the self-destruct lever.
So no pulling levers.

On another note, open the door slowly, listen for conversations behind the door or peek through the lock. We don't want to come face to face (or waist to face) with an unsuspecting alien.
Sounds like a good plan. Only reverse "unsuspecting alien."

Perfectly pale skin is often evil, too, though. And there's a few series/works where the main characters are dark-skinned, like Earthsea (not to discourage you or anything).
Emphasis on "few."

71a. Additionally, replace "light skinned/dark skinned" with "attractive/ugly" respectively.
Waitta second -- did you just disrespect D&D (intentionally) there?
It's not just D&D.
Fantasy in general tends to give the protagonists' and other sympathetic races light skin, reserving the darker skin colors for orcs, goblins, underground nasties, etc.
One of these days, I'm going to write a story where everyone is dark-skinned except the albino evil people from underground. It wouldn't make sense to make a big deal about the skin color, of course, since everyone's is dark, but it would be an interesting reversal of typical trends.
I was talking about the ugly part.
unicorn good.
dragons that look shiny and pretty good.
centaurs (for crying out loud -- the bloodthirsty human eaters in greek mythology) neutral if I recall
dragon that looks shiny and pretty -- good
one that looks like it's got mottled skin and crazy horns going everywhere --evil.
at least color-wise the white dragons are evil.
Although you could say albino-ism is kinda evil tending -- see princess bride. (ninja'd)
True enough about albinism; also note that the things about pretty==good aren't just D&D either. Unicorns. Freaking unicorns. They are horses with big horns that are attracted to young women. They didn't start pure and innocent, you know...

Call me bad at GMing Paranoia, but I'm not enjoying jerking you around like this anymore.

Mayfair tries to enter the R&D lab, but his feet won't let him. Instead, they (doubtless conspiring with his legs) turn him in a random direction and have him start running. Five walls and countless hapless citizens later, he interrupts the peace and quiet of the briefing room by crashing through a wall.
"'Sabout time. Let's begin."

Bright lights flash on around the room. It's wide and shallow, with a high bench where a citizen in indigo and a citizen in yellow. A citizen in orange stands near them, and four Blue-clearance guards with garish outfits and...unique weapons stand at attention. An Indigo-clearance person in a similar uniform, presumably their leader, gestures impatiently for you to go into a wide, shallow, and narrow pit with a red line in it. Let's assume you do, because you all have a feeling he'd test that weapon on you if you didn't.
The Indigo citizen, who despite the lights manages to remain in shadow (remarkable how the lights work, must be to improve morale), speaks.
"Welcome, citizens, I know you're all very eager to Serve the ComputerTM, execute Commie mutant traitors, serve Alpha Complex, and all that. Luckily for you, I have such an opportunity for you.
"The Computer realizes, of course, that you are all inexperienced Troubleshooters. In its Finite Wisdom, it has selected you four for a mission which is simple, important, and simply important. In addition, we have selected a more experienced Troubleshooter to act as a guide, mentor, and leader on your first mission. He is not present currently; surely he was delayed by whatever delayed you. In any case, we are certain you will be able to complete the mission. Successfully."
He takes a moment to look each of you in the eyes for just a moment, but it feels like he's going through your mind as he does so.
"The mission will take you to...what sector, Citizens?"

"Perhaps you're right...in the short term."

Grab his other arm with my other hand. Then, break either arm.

Begin to crush windpipe and gather demonic magics.

Point my gun at the rune. If it moves, shoot it. If not, shoot it anyways, it might be motion sensitive.
If you shoot me, you are so going in for disciplinary action. If you activate the rune, you're going in for SEVERE disciplinary action. If you do both, once we get out of this mess you're getting disciplinary action courtesy of Minerva's sword.

Signups extended for 12 hours, since I forgot this is the time when nobody posts.
Time zones are fun.

No, you aren't.
