Roll To Dodge / Re: Roll To Live [0/8]

I wondered how long it would take...

We'll need to give the mermaid more than a trip back to the ocean for her to leave us the bracelet. She walked here, didn't she? I suggest we appoint her Interim Diplomat of Ocean and Night, or something like that which basically says that she's the one in charge of communications between us and the merfolk for now.

22 hours and change is long enough.

-----

Trig-R-HPY-1 turns from the firefight and locates the PLC office! By now, it's getting crowded, and a riot is starting to form over a lack of burn cream. He heads down the corridor, and gets interrupted by a man in a yellow lab coat.
"Hey, I need a liddle thing to read, I'm testing a new microscope. Got anything?" Obviously, Trig accepts, but blanches when this man turns his claim slip to ashes. At least he had breakfast...until he abandoned it...

Cat-R-URS-1 reads the fine print.
Spoiler: No peeking! (click to show/hide)

Mayfair-R-FUN-1 is still unconscious. Just more meaningfully.

Well, then. I'll make sure there's an update by tomorrow evening.
How many turns of inactivity should be grounds for terminating a clone?

If a non-damaging move, use Kick of Authority on party.
If a damaging move, look for secret doors.

I suggest that we let Cherlyn go steal something. Or someone. She used to be a snatcher, right?

Not much better...
Let's go with LordBucket's idea. Not the lolicon one.

-----

You were at a birthday party for a kid from your class. It was fairly crowded; this is mostly because everyone in [1] was always polite. No one liked this kid because [2]. You were just sitting there with your friend [3]...

1. Where are you from?
2. Why wasn't he liked?
3. Who was your friend?

"Who else would we be going for? Die before the wrath of...someone! What was this guy's name again?"

Seriously, guys, don't make me reverse my decision. If I was fine with that kind of stuff,
would I have shot down your ideas of prostitution and rape to get superpowers?
...oh, but you're the one leaping to those conclusions. After all, saliva is a bodily fluid. Perhaps she shared a drinking cup with someone. Perhaps she had her first kiss, which was completely innocent and while fully clothed. So is blood. Perhaps she and a purely platonic friend, after an entirely accidental set of scrapes on the hand while knitting, decided to jokingly and playfully become "blood sisters" by shaking hands and exchanging blood. Perhaps a friend of hers was injured while playing soccer, and in a fit of bad judgement she sucked the wound to clean it.

See? This is the advantage of leaving it implied but unstated. We can come to whatever entirely PG conclusion we want.

Put simply, a lolicon is a pedophile. But instead of the usual villainous or disgusting attitude normally attributed to one, they are instead treated as being a little creepy, but ultimately harmless.
So, Lolicons are basically pedophiles in a different light. See how I made my conclusion?

I'm just trying to get away from the... squick. I love y'all, I just don't think having that hanging in the air is good, yanno? Considering the forum as it is.
Squick per se isn't bad, but I'm looking for more of a Lovecraftian vibe than a "coitus-based gameplay" vibe. Especially since the coitus suggested is often rape and/or paedophilia.

Okay, back on-topic. Thanks.

Problem is, I like working out a "justification" for why powers work the way they do. It's a quirk, but it certainly helps when people try using it in odd manners.

I was conveniently ignoring that.

I'll count the second one.
Any other suggestions?

I won't take this long in deliberations later on, but character creation seems sorta important.

You are Lucy Faire, a girl who discovered her power at age 12. You've grown since then, but the twelfth year of your life was an important year.
How (in a PGish manner) did you discover your powers?
