((The zombies are BLU, right? Man, the humans are gonna have trouble moving until the force fields change. I like the changes they make...))

(Over)heal and follow Darkpaladin.

"We've fought stronger, whilst weaker. But yeah, these weren't fun."

Determine if any loot exists in the immediate area. Say, from the Reapers.

Nah, we're just making fun of your presumptuous use of "The Civil War".
And I would have joined if I wasn't writing up rules for summoning and Shadows for the new RotMG, which I like to call RMG-3.

Wait, why is the American Civil War patriotic, again?

Isn't that like the darkest time in our history, what with us being the only first world country that had to fight a civil war in order to get slavery abolished? And the whole brother fighting brother thing, besides the largest number of casualties in terms of Americans of any war ever fought, plus it containing the single largest battle in the western hemisphere? Especially since even after all that shit, african-americans had their rights rolled right back away from them after Reconstruction ended?

So why is it a good thing? I forget.
Well...it was the first step of a journey.

EDIT: Also, which Japanese Civil War are we referring to? They had a lot of them.
Everyone did, if you're willing to look deep enough.

The answers to your question by a suprisingly large percentage of the population, which of course I am not part of what with the bronze skin and the rap music and Liberal affiliation and tendency to satirize jingoistic nationalism via Internet forums, would include the following:

Tradition
Family
States Rights
Freedom
Jesus
Good Ole' Boys
Rebellion
Regional Identity
Grey
"Improved Flag"
Being able to walk down the street without seeing any minorities
Well, I can't really argue with one of those, but a few others which I value I'm questioning the applicability of, and the rest I'm just not sure why they should matter.
Just my $0.02.

It's pretty much the only thing he's got to be completely honest, so sure.
Alright. I'm glad we could work that out! Here goes...something...

And having finished the interruption of Real Life, here we go!
Spoiler: Tobias (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Tobias Summary (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Shadow Summary (click to show/hide)

Ugh. That took so long, and got interrupted so many times. Here's hoping it works! And those shadows had better work, figuring out their powers took up most of my time. I'll let Projeck deal with their stats, with the reminder that he probably doesn't need to give them Strength.

Tobias's shadows have repeatedly been just shrugged off. Given their turn, but not even rolled for. Not even a big one with a higher stat pool than any PCs was just thrown to the side and was said to "not do anything"

*Projeck sighs.
Heh. That had better not happen this time, especially given the potentially battle-changing effects some of them have. Blindness and such for the weakest, things like possession and save-or-lose for the stronger ones...
Although with only one unit at a time, it'll be easier.

3. With access to teleportation magic, space flight becomes much more cheaper and practical, which has sparked a second space race. No longer constrained by orbital dynamics and rocketry, mankind has visited most of the (relatively) habitable planets and moons in the solar system, spurred on by feelings of national pride and the desire to be the first to do something. More practically, plans for Lunar and Martian colonies are in the works, and the number of probes in space has increased exponentially. Additionally many asteroids in the solar system are being prospected for metals and minerals, and several are being prepped for teleportation back to Earth to be mined. Needless to say the various governments of the world are scrambling to try and keep up with all of the legal cases and legislature that this second space race is creating.

Looks passable good?
Yup. It's inspired a new Tidbit from me:

4. With the dawn of what some are calling Mithril Age of Space Travel, putting a satellite into Low-Earth Orbit and even higher orbits became much, much cheaper. This lead to a proliferation of satellites for various purposes, from major (allowing all locations to receive satellite-based telecommunications and surprisingly fast Internet) to petty (an array of geosynchrous communication satellites which keeps one over a given city at all times). Unfortunately, collisions between satellites, often involving so called pirate satellites put in orbits without proper permission, have caused many to believe that Kessler Syndrome is going to be coming into play shortly. It is feared that this could destroy countless satellites, crippling much of the global communications network, especially in poorer countries, and possibly even leading to spacecraft debris crashing to Earth. A spacecraft sent up to try and curb the issue by safely de-orbiting defunct or illegal satellites was famously struck by another satellite within hours of deployment.

Okay, just think of how fast the 3D Maneuver Gear propels people. Fast enough to make it extremely hard to hit them. And with that speed, momentum plays a part. I'll nerf it a little. But not as drastic as you want.
The "hard-to-hit" makes one equally hard to hit someone else. After all, motion is relative. If you're moving fast enough relative to an enemy that it's hard for him to hit you, he's moving fast enough relative to you to also make it hard for you to hit him. It's basic logic.

Think of this: Tobias has 5 years to perfect how to use the 3D maneuver gear, so no need for -6 to Skill.
Why? It's still hard.

Quote
And he can find ways of making it go even faster, and thus increasing his momentum, thus increasing his Strength /past/ +1.
How?

Your argument about weak magic is...interesting. Do you want me to stat up Tobias, and give him the advanced 3D gear and training and such as part of his power/perk package?

411
I would advocate trying to investigate what's going on, rather than stealing a bunch of stuff we know for a fact to belongs to other, more powerful individuals.
I'm hoping to do both.

412
Even if the had it before the update. Right...
Akroma isn't saying that he can't have it, he's just saying that he can't have a horribly broken version of it. And this is a problem. I'm not sure why any stat bonuses should be going along with it! (And I agree that there should be a skill penalty. You're moving fast, it should be harder for you to aim. If you're sneak-attacking with it, that should be a different thing entirely from the gear.)
kj, you know what "balance" is, right?

"Impressive weapon."

Science time!

I've been using the Land/Drop button. This causes an instantaneous explosion. Every time, without fail. And I don't see any "land at target" button...

((Male nipples, for starters. Or the coccyx. Humans also have gills, briefly, even though they're neither needed nor used for anything. Some humans have a vestigial tail, which is predictably useless, kinda like the last toe or two and maybe the pinky finger. Then there's the muscles which cause goose bumps--great for creatures covered in hair, silly for humans. Then there's genes and proteins, if you're really willing to stretch the definition of "organ".
I'm interested to hear what piecewise says, though.))

Did Faith ever attend those remedial medical classes?

No, call Slog out so we can give HIM the loot!
...Or we could ask for someone who knows what they're doing.
Heck, bring the whole party!

hey, I realised there is something we still need a rule for

leveling.

this is mostly a concensus thing, on how fast everyone wants the game to progress. Assuming small plots give on average 50 exp, medium plots about 100 and long plots about 150, differentiated between individual performance etc, and level ups starting at 100, then 110 etc. How much Stat points should be given for each level? Also, what about perks? Perhaps levels can be used to buy special equipment? Perhaps modular, so someone could decide between stats, a new perk, or special equipment? With GWGs Gurps-perking, conversion between stats and the value of a new perk can be easily done (and may require saving up between levels for huge perks), but gets a bit fuzzy with equipment. I suppose equipment may just be priced as if it was an equivalent ability or perk. Of course equipment would need at least minimal justification, and stranger perks probably too. Nope, can't just buy excalibur.

what matters is the consens, how fast should the game progress? Just one stat point per level? 3? 5? This is not an easy decision.
Not including equipment makes sense, I suppose. Though with the perks system, including the occasionallymentioned Gadget Limitations, it would make sense that we could add new, significant equipment that would often be used that way. For instance, Will's poisoned dagger probably wouldn't need to be paid for (since Will doesn't knife-fight much and the knife isn't that much better than a normal knife), but Kyle's armor would be (since it's both commonly-used and a huge bonus to his abilities).
Another option to consider is if we want to award stat points at all, or just more PP and let people increase stats for 15 PP apiece. This would encourage more development of perks (which set people apart more than stats), but would also allow more min/maxing room.

to allow for more detailed differentiation between characters
Non-random perks would do that as well, if not better. After all, I'm willing to bet that the random perk system is less likely to give a well-fitting perk to, say, Will than I am, and more likely to give him (say) a melee-combat-enhancing perk or one that lets him berserk.
