Me T, Phone Home

Well, let's see how she reacts to my question of if she could beam herself over to the Salvation for George to work on. If that works, you can escape without worrying about the AI.
If not, well, George would have to be pretty darn stupid to put one above the lives of his teammates.
There, I think you made a typo.
Either or.
If AIs are ultra-rare, a functional one might be worth a life or two. Especially if it's Carl.
Carl?  I think you're misspelling a name or something.  I really hope you're misspelling Dumas, and not Charlie.
Carl is an NPC George has mentioned a couple times this arc. Made up for the purpose of being a moron.

Spawn with a zerg egg in my pocket. Wave to Spinal, and Misko.
[1] It's a chicken egg. You are sad.

Spawn thinking of a great laptop.
[1] You have a cardboard box that used to hold a Cray supercomputer.

Yay!
Fashion whatever comes out into a bow.
Also tighten the front of my bathrobe.
You pull out...huh, a cotton string and a long, stiffish piece of something. [1] It makes an easily broken bow. It breaks. [6]You realize that there's a girl in the room, and tighten the bathrobe to the point that you can't breathe!

Play DF. Wave at Cas.
[6] You start up Dwarf Fortress. It's a version which accidentally let's the dwarves out of the window to rampage across the computer.
"Hi, Cassie!"

Help captain not die, or, barring that, die peacefully.

Also, once that's done, call someone with cell phone.

((I could use a item? Where do i get the other item?))
You could use items.
What other item?

Anyways, I suppose I could update now.

-----

Spawn while thinking about bow and arrows.. Place underwear in machine.
(Fair to assume you want to press a button?)
[4] You get a few arrows. [3] Underwear removed, placed into machine. Button pressed, sound made.

Think of a laptop.
[5] You get a very powerful netbook.

GM note: Apparently, I failed to realise something. Fixing rule which shoulda been obvious.

Try to find any survivors. Especially babies.
Also try to find luggage. Gather it all to some sensible meeting place that isn't on fire.

Oh, update-ninja'd. That doesn't count as a survivor...Look for luggage and living survivors.

Forgot that.

...ebbor, how common are AIs? Common enough that it's completely normal for an old cruise ship to have one and a sign of our poverty that we don't, rarer than gold, somewhere in between?
Yeah, I mean I have to agree with you that an AI would be useful, and quarantining this one in a separate network might work.  But first, we gotta get out of here in one piece.  You should try resolving this through computing, but it looks like we're gonna have to blow some robitches the hell up.
Well, let's see how she reacts to my question of if she could beam herself over to the Salvation for George to work on. If that works, you can escape without worrying about the AI.
If not, well, AIs would need to be pretty darn rare for George to put one above the lives of his teammates.

This is the third in the Art of Minimalism series. As with the last one, it's completely different from the previous.

RULES:
Join at any time.
Standard RtD rules. 1d6.
Try to limit yourself to one action per turn. A series of actions is allowed, if they're actually related. More than that, or if the series includes unrelated actions, and you'll start to take penalties.
Please, no transforming or summoning items. That was a pain last time. On a related note, stick to humanity, at least at spawn. If you need an item, use the Machine.
You start with a random item in your pocket. You may influence this by requesting a specific item on spawn, but this will be modified by a roll! Don't ask for weapons if you don't want to roll a 1! This item must be one that could reasonably fit in a largish pocket. STOP SPAWNING WITH NPCs.
Thinking of something may influence what the Machine spits out.
You can turn items into other items if you can find the necessary items to do so.
Have fun.

-----

Room Description:
You appear in a room hewn of solid stone and then smoothed. You are clothed in a bathrobe, slippers, and underwear. In the middle of the room is a Machine composed of gears, belts, and other mechanical bits. On each of seven sides is a large sign, written in at least a dozen languages:
"To use, place an item in  a compartment and press any button."
What will you do?

Also try to keep calm and avoid breathing too much smoke.

Brace for impact.
+1 to this part.

Also potentially useful.

Another thing I was thinking about that could be related. Multiclassing. Should I not, if you think I should what clesses would help*, do you think warlocks' invocations could be a useful supplement of infinite magic to my truenaming?

*I could figure out a good reason for my character to multiclass into almost anything. If I wanted to, at least.
