"Hey, Terry? It's going to be all right. I'm here for you"
Give Terry a dose of endorphens, to help him calm down.
Can we do that?  I really hope we can, we may need to.
Or adrenaline, that could be useful, too.
What? No, that's a terrible idea. That little bit of relaxedness felt so nice, you guys don't even know.
Not right now, you buffoon.

Anyways, where's the GM?

Sorry about the double-post.

But of course. Respawn as a world serpent disciple from Miskos minions.
Eggs
Buld Monument/Hive to world Serpent.

The queen bee [6] lays so many eggs (512, to be exact) that she and several nearby workers are crushed. Terrified, [1-1] the remaining workers destroy the hive to try and appease something. [4] A python (Spinal) appears.

Pay for room. Heal arm on my way to my room.
[6] You pay, then the bartender gets suspicious and realizes that you basically just stole from the cash register to pay for your room. You're tossed in prison. Well, the bar's prison, not a prison prison.
(That would have worked if you got a 3-5, and a 2 would have just made him kick you out. Not sure what a 1 would be...)

>MEDITATE
[2] Noise, noise, noise!

Repeat previous command.
[6v2] The Jägermonstern are caught unaware, and you kill 44 of them before you inevitable demise and sucked-into-the-sword dealie. Respawn?

I grab the nearest person and use them as a club to bash the second nearest person
[1] You grab Vorthon. The Jägers are not amused. Respawn?

Recruit some more, before leading my army to glory.
[1] A rousink schpeech drives seventy-tree uf hyu Jägers to rebel.

Let them have thier own leader.
Try to turn into a MT.again.
They elect Durrel Babbs, who rules over himself, you, two big zombies, and 21 containers. [3] You turn into Mr. T. I pity da foo' who doesn't explain what an MT is before he succeeds.

((Bluh. These updates.))

Respawn. Same creature. AGAIN.

Retain previous powers of the fallen in my name.

((Explain that -1?))
[2] You can choose to be a normal fox or to not respawn.

Use bagels to gain tons of money, buy THOUSANDS of big mechs.
[1] You forget to patent the recipe. A rival bagelmaker steals the formula and gets the patent. More despair. [5] You cope.

GM Turn:
De Jäger Loyalists und Jägerebels [6v5+1] kill about helf uf each side.
The mech [5] stomps on a bunch of people, including Yoink, Vorthon, and a couple dozen Jägers. [4,2+1] No one survives. Respawn?
The hive recruits [3] a dozen aphids.

Sneak quietly out, look at the people. Then plan how to slay the men and bed the women.
The woman is going to be the easiest of the three to deal with, I'm thinking.
You're assuming it's two men and a woman by hearing one name?

Being able to dig through liquids seems worth it all by itself.  It does seem like an easier way to dig a 1x1 shaft... though I'm not entirely sure why'd you want to...
I'm not sure why it would be easier. Could you explain?

@Imp, I like that, psychic merchants.  Has a nice ring to it.  Maybe include mind flayers from the deep, as a contender.  Or the Next type entity, that rolls the bones, and dreams two minutes into his own destiny.  Ever hear of those shops that travel from city to city, just appearing on empty brick walls, that sell magic items?  Something like those.  Cept for trading, instead of selling.
...I can honestly say I've never heard of those.

@GreatWyrmGold, yup.  Problem I see, is we are being penalized all types of traps, as a result of a few that maybe hard on a wagon axle or wheel.
I'd say that, between what we put in our weapon traps and the weight of stone, only cage traps are likely to be safe for wagons, and we don't know how those work.
I agree that the traps are currently underdone, what with DF being in alpha...

Dragon Mountain module in D&D had a nifty trap.  Wand trap.  Those Kobolds stole loot from the Dragon and used it in their traps.

Wand trap, did something like this.  Magic flew from wand when triggered, and shot the target, it shrank down to wee tiny size, and fell into a crevice.  The crevice had a pouch lining the inside, like a tall garbage bag in a kitchen waste bin, to collect all the unlucky shrunken trespassers.
Neat but not relevant. Also, wouldn't it need to be reloaded every 50 fies?

The hybrids seem like deep-cavern things.

I've often wondered why there aren't any cavern domesticables. There's tons of possibilities, from the dull (cave cattle!) to the clever (undernewts, similar to axlotls but more terrestrial, larger, and bred for meat and waterproof leather)

DF Suggestions / Re: Defined Equipment In Creature Raws and other things
« on: November 09, 2012, 05:12:54 pm »
I think there should be an option to have creatures spawn with specified equipment, such as being able to have minotaurs always spawn with a masterwork silver hammer.
Agreed. Ideally with options for percentage chances and/or picking the material from a local material with certain properties--say, a wood growing in the area.

Quote
I also think there should be a tag to have a specified creature spawn instead of a corpse when the creature dies.
Already there.

Living creature blood (ex:bleeding live badgers) would be Fun.
Unless it's blood men or something, kinda nonsensical...

Let's just stop at KFC on our way to Terry's virgin while we think of how to get the girl to eat the egg.
How long does the lamia fetus grow, anyway?

43304
Yup. 12 cm>10 cm.

The new measurements are better, if you're ignoring the tail.

43305
((You rolled a natural one.))
You crouch down and try to hide behind a large rock. This would have succeeded if you had hidden on the correct side. The orc grabs you.

What now, clever guys?
