If you think you'd enjoy it but worry that the game will "never be truly fun because it was never truly finished", just get it. It was hilariously fun from the very first version, and each patch has only made that better. It's not one of those games where you only see potential in the future, and it never gets fully realised. What's already there is amazing.
Like Dwarf Fortress!

And seriously. Does no one have save-editing-or-otherwise-landing-precisely-and-quickly advice?
Nope. Rounding errors with physics loading pretty much kill you, especially when mods monkey with that. Drop back to stock physics/aerodynamics and use hyperedit.
I've been using Hyperedit.
And somehow, I don't think that the infinite-void-with-weirdly-spinning-altitude is due to conflicts with Deadly Reentry.

I'll probably give up on the stuff I've got and try messing around some with switching spacecraft instead of moving the one. If that fails...I'll just hack it there and land it normally or something.

In my defense, someone changed the thread title on me and I couldn't even find the game.
you couldn't find the game on the front page of the board with all caps
No, because its title had radically changed. It's like asking why you couldn't find you cat when it was sitting in front of you, just because it was turned into a ceramic mug.
Pretend that it's possible to turn cats into mugs for the purposes of this analogy.

That won't resolve the problems that arise when one of the most famous cities on earth is obliterated. I mean, wouldn't that crash the global economy?
That'd probably destroy society through starting up another great depression, leaving the world as some sort of survivalist nightmare with the addition of magic.
How? New York is famous, but if you aren't a Broadway actor or someone who both lives and works in New York, you're likely not going to be devastated by its destruction (and in the former case...there are other theaters). Are you thinking of the Stock Exchange? It's pretty empty in meatspace these days, and there's a bunch of other ones worldwide.

edit: I forgot to mention, but what happens to HILDA having 4 standard forms to switch inbetween?
What's the difference between the forms? Is it comparable to the differences between ICARUS's chassises?
Hildas alternative forms have different stat allocations, while Icarus different forms have the same stats. It's a considerable difference
Mm. Problematic. Although since no one's said anything about HILDA going over the disadvantage cap, I think there's a way to figure it all out.

If pills can be dissolved in liquids and retain functionality then i dont see why the claymore wouldnt work, especially if you converted them into liquid capsules prior to placing them in the claymore. Itd take some tweaking to get it right of course.
How would the liquid get into the creatures?

Quote
On the other note you mean aside from cancer and a healthy green glow right?
Probably your whole body would become radioactive, it might show you how the mutation speads through the body if the subject eats the pill whilst inder the scanner. (All at once or from the stomach outwards.)
Hm. That would be helpful.

Well, not the worst, but it's certainly the worst in Australia.
For one, most of it only applies within Queensland, so your scores get shitted if you go overseas/to another state.
For two, it's highly dependent on the ability of others (unless you top all of your classes), which pulls you back should they fail.
For three, it's tied into QCS, which is an unfair test in which private schools basically know all the answers before it starts.
*flips tables in homicidal rage*
Why can't everything be individual tests?
I'm a bit fuzzy on what you mean by 1 and 2.
Are you saying that they basically teach you stuff that no one else cares about at the expense of stuff they do?
Are you saying that they pass or fail whole classes at the same time?
And while I'm at it, what's the QCS about?

Hello, quick question.

Can this be used for threads on other forums entirely, such as SB or SV?
Go ahead. It's a more effective threat if the people on those forums know how crazy we are, though.

As for the HILDA exploding..?
That could be dangerous. Like, really dangerous.
Yup. That's what happens when your robot has a self-destruct switch and a lot of explosives.

lets stop patronizing him now, alright guys? :(
Yay! Someone likes me!

I remember that game, I hijacked it! Drove it for the longest time too, before GWG bet he could do it better. He didn't, and it died shortly after.
In my defense, someone changed the thread title on me and I couldn't even find the game.

Pretty much, reduced the search results to abot 13 pages and i think you start hitting the proper stuff by page 6.
If only i could search by author in a topic instead of the whole subforum.
Seems like I'd be able to cut down on the posts more by searching the subforum then. Seems probable that there are fewer piecewise posts out of the "proper" thread than non-piecewise posts in any given thread.

...you really think im gonna abandon my own personal desire to understand it just because i dont respect the current tinkerer for whatever reason?
I hate you too.

So... ideas for creative warfare?
Weapons which only work if your opponent eats something work well for plants and frogs, but less well for people.

Hmm a pill loaded claymore might be interesting.
Assuming that the claymore would deliver enough of a dose to work. It's something that I'll be sure to consider, perhaps after I've investigated the operative mechanism of the Metamorphosis Device's pills.
On that note, what do you think I'd get if I put radioisotopes through the pill machine? You know, the kind they use to track blood flow?

((I suppose that's a "no" to retconning the "Comedy" of Errors.))

(Doylistly, I was waiting to see what you said on the possibility of retconning the "C"oE.)
Ah, sorry. I'd really rather not retcon anything if I can avoid it. Didn't realize you were waiting on official word on that.
((...
Well, I was.))

((It's asking us to help it steal power.))
(("Steal" implies many things, few of which apply. Most importantly, it's not harming the target in any way, either by destruction or omission. It seems like it's honestly trying to help y'all make a better universe. Certainly, there isn't enough evidence to assume that it's being malicious.))

((...I have no clue what to do. Everything's a chaotic whirl of random planets. I'm finding that I don't give a damn about this universe. Yay motivation.))

What campaign were you thinking?
The post-apocalyptic floating-islands one.

Why is everyone always surprised whenever anyone agrees with me?

ISN'T THE ENTIRE POINT OF THIS GAME PLAYING AS MAGIC PEOPLE?

I will point out that was a flaw in Thawed.
Reread my post.
You only need a high Magic stat if you want to consistently cast major magic without any drawbacks. I dunno about you, but that sounds like something you should need a high Magic stat to do.

448
Hm. Tricky.

In other news, Chrome's being a pain. I restarted my computer and discovered that Youtube Center has been completely disabled, rather than the nominally disabled it's been until now. And I can't re-enable it, even by redownloading and reinstalling. Argh!

449
Why do you roll a die equal to your magic stat for magic? That means no one can use all of their abilities without sinking most of their points into magic. And that's not considering mana cost.
...Why? Target Numbers are like 3-9 for most magic, and we divide 100 points between nine stats. Sure, making big effects without drawbacks is tough for people who aren't specialized mages, but...what's wrong with that?

Well... I guess that works out... Atleast she can still attack things like Golem's if it comes down to it.
Or wild animals. Or anything else that doesn't qualify as an "intelligent creature". And you can take and encourage nonviolent action.

Also, Queensland has the worst education system. THE WORST
Why?
