Hah, no. Not likely.

"I could be...interested in some kind of deal."

Their voices lower.

(AKA, I'll answer you in PMs.)

A molotov isn't a conventional warfare weapon though; it's an improvised projectile. I would assume a pipe bomb would also be Uncon. Grenades, on the other hand, are generally assembled by professionals instead of anarchists. I'm making assumptions here but I think logic is on my side, although I'm ready to admit I could be wrong.
Aren't they used in almost exactly the same method?
Really, though, having one skill for all conventional weapons and one skill for all unconventional weapons kinda defies logic in and of itself.

Meme makes sure Momo doesn't choke on anything, and tries to give him a small gummy to chew.
After a moment, she gets Momo to eat the gummy.

((What's Momo look like?))
((Cat-baby, scaled so Meme can hold him. So, very small.))

4354
Meme is stunned for all of 5 seconds before squealling happily and placing Momo next to the pile so he can crawl in it while Meme crawls in as well!
Momo plays with the colorful candies!

Yes, you will see the military wasting money on that kind of stuff, as well as companies. The military tried using spy cats, spent several million dollars on it and then abandoned the project after the first test run cat got run over.
And then they stopped. When you think a bit about it, cats are damn good spies...but when that practical consideration came up, they scrapped the concept.

The military is building rocks with microphones in them, tell me that isn't aesthetics there.
It isn't. It's camouflage.

Corporations are building Curved smartphones, this will reduce the efficiency of the phone in pretty much every way.
Not really, as Gil mentioned. But even if it were so...if it will improve sales, it will be done, because really, that's what matters for a corporation.

So. What are our current...I'm pretty sure our current characters are out, but what about character plans?

P.S. I think it's kinda neat that you mentioned playing a psionic muffin character and I started thinking about how that would work. (Spoiler: You would suck at everything that wasn't psionics.)

Preemptive Strike?
Prevent preemptive strike.

Attempt to talk to sprite.

"Do you speak Common?"

Don't encourage them...

4359
Well, not all experiments turn out well. Maybe if we simplified it some?

4360
My logic is basically the adding and subtracting everything turn-by-turn over all my turn.

And yeah. This isn't really fun for me anymore (too much work for too little benefit), Remuthra hasn't really posted in a while, kj isn't much better...

"If that decision could lead to a full on war, talk is usualy involved. Don't make the mistake of underestimating us. That dragon near Standford was taken out in not even a minute, without it causing a single casualty or even serious wounds. Dragonkind must ask itself - do the consequences of a war with mankind stand in reasonable proportions with the benefit? I am military hardware. I might not be the best diplomat, but I can calculate risks. War is too costly, for both sides. Coexistance is by a large margin the superior option. I fear however, your council might be too...stagnated. They are used to ruling the earth alone, and might not be familiar with an actual threat to dragonkind. What you say suggests they might shrug the issue off - as if humanity was insects. That would be a mistake that will cost too many lives on both sides. Representatives of humanity must be at the table when decisions are made."
aaand off to sleep
"That dragon was a stupid child. And again, the decision will be made by the Council. They have not failed before. And you didn't answer my question, Artificial Imbecile."

"Exactly."
Lunette simply leaves Will's room and heads to her bedroom, shutting the door behind her.
"...That probably isn't good."

Servitor, those lil robots you guys used for construction, perfectly possible to fit part of one into a tool suite.
Carl could barely lift and throw them, and he has both above-average strength and an exoskeleton. I don't think you could get a little tail to hold one, certainly not without you falling over backwards.

Quote
Does it matter if they are needed? Armor and guns aren't technically needed.
...Yes. Yes they are.
And see below for the rest of the answer.

Quote
Do they need to be the best design for the tools? We use plenty of things that are ineptly designed (phone touchscreen typing for example) the idea behind them is a hands free integrated sensor and tool suite, they don't need to be the best design.
The "hands-free integrated sensor and tool suite" is why they are the best design.
And yes, it does need to be the best design. IRL, you're not going to see anyone wasting money for no reason...and the military puts precisely zero emphasis on aesthetics, or really much except efficiency, effectiveness, and ethics.

Roll To Dodge / Re: Thawed (Can't We Finish The First Problem First?)
« on: February 25, 2014, 07:09:20 pm »
There isn't really a "captain". There is the prince, the witch-hunter who is your CO, and assorted officers. I wasn't sure which of the first two, or maybe the third, you meant.

Can we research electricity yet?
Probably.

It seems researching the ability to strap on some AAs would be valuable. Some solar panels would be nice.
AA batteries?

Do I just wait a while and hope we drift closer than 840 kilometers a few dozen orbits from now?

Name: Angel Carlson
Appearance: A little girl, with auburn hair and, if clothed, a green dress.
First Action: Call for help. Because others already took the better actions and I don't want to copy.
