You know, it's kinda stupid that those who build a city get a second pop on the first season while those who choose to grow stuff only get one on the third season. I propose to make it so that cities increase minimum pop, but don't give population itself. Thus, it would be possible to have population under minimum if it has never been above the current level.
That makes sense. Or, you can only build a city if your population isn't below your new minimum population.

On the other hand, the movements when trying to hit someone with a welder and trying to hit someone with a club are more or less the same.

Burning someone with a welder? Now that's a different story.

"That's not how dragons typically act..."

She quickly heads away.

nah, magic is magic, technology is technology. There has been no talk about it, mostly because of timezone differences, but ICARUS is not acknolwedging HILDA as a robot. She is more or less a modern golem. I mean, she specificaly has no mechanical parts, but instead moves and shifts about by controling the makeup and shape of her base material - pretty much like Neferis.
What is your definition of "technology"? I would say "applied science," and of course science can be applied to magic if magic isn't actively trying to not be studied.

"Because awakening dragons have caused structural damage and loss of life all over the planet. If they continue to do so as they please, they are a threat to humanity and must be erased. If the authority of the council is recognised and they give the order to not bother humanity, a war that would be costly to both sides would be averted."
I never did say the dragons anywhere else were attacking. In fact, I believe I said the opposite.

"Huh?"

How exactly would one go about making a circular ship, anyway?
It's not easy, or pretty, but you can approximate it with hexaradial symmetry.

4417
"The Council of Wyrms...why are you asking?"

4418
The Transgression variety? Wouldn't that fall under "it runs on magic"?

"The dragons fall asleep with the fall of magic. After a thousand years, as magic begins to return from faded fables, the dragons reawaken, signaling the dawn of a new era of magic...though there have been disruptions this cycle. And there are many false dragons, mere lizards rather than magical beings."
((... Shadowrun?))
((I guess there are some similarities. This isn't as far-reaching, though. And the level of magic is dependent on the level of magicians rather than the other way around.))

Trying to use CQB tactics against Altered is like trying to kill a blender by throwing rotten tomatoes at it.  Looks pretty similar too.
Nope. The Altered don't turn people into bloody smears, they turn people into more Altered.

((Or the past was romanticized.))
Likely.

Yup. They're numb though.
And someone seems to be talking to her...

meh, in a world where magic exists, technology must be allowed some cookies every now and then so it's not just pointless as magic can do all it can do and even more
1. Kyle.
2. So?
3. Technology that functions on magical principles still counts as technology despite explicitly using magic.
4. There is a difference between "cookies" and "violating the laws of physics".

"Waking up? A bit more detail please, especialy in regard what it means for humanity. Also, if you are implying all dragons were asleep up till now, what about the Dragosn that were evidently awake before?"

Nyarlothotep is evidently a shape-shifting deity who manifests in a variety of forms, sometimes monstrous, sometimes a person, often an Egyptian pharaoh. (Wait, there's another kind?) In his first appearance, he demonstrates a variety of "strange and seemingly magical instruments" and cause those observing him to lose connection with reality, seeing the world collapse.

First off, one can clearly tell that historical Nyarlothotep was a master of disguise, who likely masqueraded as a pharaoh or a candidate for the throne at some point. Quite possibly, he came from the Middle East, bringing technologies and devices from those distant lands that the then-backwards Mediterranean people would find magical. Obviously, he also brought some variety of narcotic or hallucinogenic drug, which he shared with his followers. Perhaps due to these drugs, perhaps due to the deceptions, he was driven out and demonized.
It is also possible that Nyarlothotep brought with him from those distant lands strange foreign creatures thought monstrous by the Egyptians and such, and the monsters were not only corrupted by the generations of retelling but also conflated with Nyarlothotep himself. This is a quite shaky hypothesis, however.

And in other news, yay. I avoided having to figure out a whole personality too fast due to impulse control stuff.
...? Yay?
I impulsively introduced the dragon, even though it's a bit earlier than would be ideal. So I was glad to get rid of the dragon (until Kyle ruined that).

no no no no, there is a fine, hardly noticable difference between magic-tech, anime-tech and steampunk-tech. Not in application though, mostly visuals.
*rolls eyes*
Magic is used for practically everything not covered by some other supernatural crap. Might as well add one of the supernatural descriptors to the "steampunk" thing if you're going to ignore physics and sanity like that.
