Backstory: The Mage was a normal child...for almost four years. Then his magical talent manifested. The first time, he burnt his beloved elder sister to death on accident, and it got worse from there. At the age of 8, the church finally showed up and took him away to a distant island prison, where he was left for a while. Finally, not too long ago, the Saint came to save him. He was taught by the Saint how to control his powers and use them to aid instead of harm. He has done well, but after the death of the Saint his old uncontrollable outbursts are starting to return...

Hm...well, I really do need to read more Dawkins, but according to Wikipedia, a meme is " an idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person within a culture." Idioms would probably qualify.

Let me fix a few things...

--USUALLY right, but not always.
--Very right
--Probably right
--Wrong. Cats help some. They're not perfect, they're not required, but a tomcat per food stockpile and maybe a female for kittens (aka bolts, leather, and totems) will help a lot.
--Pigs are great. Poultry are pretty good, what with eggs. Grazers are OK.
--Very true. Might want to mention it for all wealthy stuff.
--Yup. Shields' only material value that matters is weight, and that only matters for bashing. Wood is pretty much as good as steel.
--Clay crafts are worth it with magma. Otherwise, yeah.
--They're also some of the best, and most others have non-decorative value.
