Civilization already comes with AI to play a game much like Civilization, which DF does not.As they point out on TvTropess, its a different game. They make up for artificial stupidity with the computer is a cheating bastard.Difficulty notwithstanding. A team of researchers did it for civilization III, it can be done.Really? Why? Doesn't Civilization III already play Civilization III? Admittedly the AI cheats like a cheating cheater trying to win a medal for cheating, but it does play pretty much the same game you do. Doesn't it?
EDIT: Just looked down, appearantly Civilization has a entire section devoted to them. Well then.
Oh Great And Wise Toady-one,Toady's not omniscient, and probably doesn't have enough time to read all of these threads. Perhaps you should PM him about the thread.
Any chance you yourself will partake in this thread?
Love to get some feedback from the horses mouth!
Reminds most if us of "Things Mr. Welch may no longer do in an RPG." I suppose Bright's list is similar. This post in the "Things Bay12ers can no longer do in a RPG" thread.Reminds me of "things Dr. Bright may not do" list.

Also, most people can't within whatever we set the timer to.
Short for Cotton Candy. Both are blue, light, and made out of strands.Wait, there are people who still consider this a big secret that must not be spoiled?
I know it bugs the heck out of me. The fact that you could unleash demons by digging too deep was like the second thing I ever heard about Dwarf Fortress (After "Elephants are dangerous") It's like trying to avoid "Spoiling" the fact that Hamlet has a scene with a skull.
On a related note I've never figured out why Adamantine is called Candy.
True. And a Rogue unit that detects and can disarm traps? Not necessarily. If we go back to the old way of telling the gm our turns, pming him, he can make curtain actions. . . . hidden from public view.
Wait, both of those would create situations in which everyone knows about traps...
((Theocracies are "ruled" by god, not their rulers.))The difference is typically technical, as the god has an odd tendency to rule through the heads of the church.
