Type: Exalted
Source: Book of Exalted Deeds

Your touch is poisonous to evil creatures.
Prerequisite: Con 13.
Benefit: Any evil creature you touch with your bare hand, fist, or natural weapon is ravaged by golden ice (see Ravages and Afflictions in Book of Exalted Deeds, Chapter 3: Exalted Equipment for effects).
Ravages are apparently "Good aligned poisons" because they are mixed with strong opiates. Yeah, the book is stupid. Still, Heroin slap.
I always interpreted it as "Ravages are good because they don't hurt non-evil creatures."

Well, we seem to have a couple warriors and a wizard...shall I be the obligatory loveable rogue?

Are the gatherers half woodcutters, half herbalists, or are you waiting to see what you have before deciding?

Good, yes, and yes. It'll count for tribute for a year and a favor, let's say.

How about each councilman contribute 12 so minimum? That's 60 sp, 20 bunkhouses, and 400 people, probably enough for a while.

Also, let's see...Wolfclaw and Draco pay 5 go each for the mine...how does this sound for a plan?
Each of us gets 35% of the ore. This may be sold or smelted as we see fit.
We sell 15%.
The last 15% goes to the town, as does 20% of the profits from selling the ore. This money is to be spent on encouraging education, while the ore may be sold or smelted and the metal or proceeds is to go towards keeping the town safe.
The remainder of the profits will be split evenly between us.

I think you could use gems to imbue weapons with magic?

When home brewing I normally leave magic to be the last thing I worry about, if at all.

Anyway this is awesome, I only wish I had been more active on the forums and had seen this when it started. No way to get in the game now right? Or should I just sit back and watch?
You could take control of, let's see...Fufgraf, which has little food but plenty of iron; Dalberg, with pasture and woods but not a lot of cropland; or Ouldlend, an island fairly near the main enemy nation but mostly undefined.

I can not seen you needing so many priests or merchant and you certainly need less craftsman.
Taxmen I'm not sure about but I don't know Wyrms plans for tax in the game.
I think we can abstract away tax collectors.

Speaking of taxes, everyone decide what they want to give in tribute to the king annually. If you give a little, you won't get much aid; if you give a lot, His Majesty may let under-justified wars or somesuch be ignored. Just try to keep this sort if guideline in mind.

Heh. Maybe that would be easier... of course, that would require me to know how to program.

Roll To Dodge / You Are Islanders--Day Three, Monsoon!

I want some practice with running some kind of civilizationey game before Feudalism starts, so here it is.

-----

You are the head of a small group of islanders. Recently, you and several others were on the seas when one of the recent freak storms blew you far off-course. You awoke on an island you have never been to before. You soon asserted yourself as the leader and prepared for your new life.

TRIBE CREATION:
You need two things to post a tribe: A brief description of your group's leader, and traits you choose.
Your group's leader needs a name and a brief description of who s/he is and why s/he came to power. It can be anyone in the group, but given the culture you need a good reason to make a woman your leader and a better one to make a child lead them. No tribes will be accepted any longer; we're at quota for now.
Traits are things you have or found that either help or hurt your group. You start with two points, but can get more by picking traits which negatively affect your tribe. Many traits can be taken multiple times.
Spoiler: Trait List (click to show/hide)
You need not spend all points, but there's no reason to do so except trying to inspire GM pity.

Every group starts out with the following, unless traits change it:

GAMEPLAY:
Each day, you need to assign work to your workers.
There are many jobs your people can do. For now, I'll only post some of the basic jobs and the tools they require.
Any adult can work, but due to a combination of their build and culture women have more limited ranges of work. Any task not marked with an asterisk will give women a -1 to if they do it, until they get fairly skilled at it. This is not intended to be sexist; IRL, most cultures' women did little but keep house and watch the children.
Spoiler: Tasks (click to show/hide)
As time goes on, I'll post more things you can do. For the start, you'll probably want to stick to this.

CRAFTING:
Given how little you start with, crafting new tools and goods will be important. Here is a list of all crafts I feel you should worry about for now, as well as those asked for:
